In good repair!), and quick response to an issue with our electrical connection -- and they didn't try to blame *us* for it, which was refreshing. Laundry room is tiny, only 2 washers/2dryers, do your laundry before you get here. Other than that, a great place to stay. Nice and quiet, located on a pretty river, nice long walking trails for humans and dogs, good location as a beginning to explore the Olympic Peninsula. read more

Big rig friendly, we are 65 feet long and had no issues getting in or out, plenty of space between you and the next person. Check in was a breeze, we made reservations. Cool views of the river and also cool walking trails along the Hoquiam river. Great base camp for checking out the surrounding area, managers were super cool with our grandson Jack . This is a nice campground but look out after you leave. We got a phone call that we took some firewood and we were not respectful and had to pay for it. We used our own firewood and then got 5 pieces of wood to put back in our bag. We called them back and said we will pay for it and they were rude and said that we were disrespectful. I believe strongly in giving people respect and in no way were we disrespectful. We will never go back. read more

Nice little park along the river. The people who own the park are really service orientated and they seem to enjoy giving their guests a great stay. Restrooms and laundry were clean and everything was in working order. They had fire pits down by the river where you could take your chairs and enjoy the view. They even provided free firewood. read more

Very seldom will my wife and I give a full five star review. However this rv park is my favorite. The reason it's such a good place is because of the staff that runs it. They are Very welcoming and always willing to help you for whatever you need. An example is when we check in Denise will have fresh home baked goods to share with us. They help us into our spot and check on us to make sure we are good. We've been coming here for a number of years and we've never been disappointed. Stumbled across this amazing little slice of heaven on our way through. The staff was the friendliest, most helpful people we have met on our trip. Beautiful little RV park with fishing from your front door and an abundance of wildlife to see. Pull-thru with full hookups for only $40/night!!! Wish we would have been able to stay longer. We stayed for 3 days Oct 2022. Initially we paid for 2 nights, but decided to stay an additional day. On the second night a medical event necessitated that we leave the following morning (Sunday) to make a doctor's visit on Monday. I contacted management well before checkout time and asked if a refund was possible--they said no, as the owners required at least 72 hours prior to any cancellation. Since we had already been there for 2 days, I thought this odd. To their credit, in other matters management and staff were courteous and helpful, and the grounds were well kept. I do feel however that a refund should have been issued, and management should have made some effort to contact the owners re same. read more

We were passing through and needed a stopover sleep and a shower. We came in after hours and found the host living directly to the right. She came out with a smile a bunch of useful information, was very thorough. I paid her $20 cash for the right to sleep on the river. We were able to pull our van up very close and had a couple of IPAs and cooked ourselves some tasty grub. The park is well maintained, the bathrooms were clean, the showers were exactly what our filthy selves needed. If I were to offer some feedback it would be to make sure the provided fire rings were cleaned out but we very much appreciate the affordable rate, free firewood, and wifi. read more

Going to another camp and needed water. Our original solution closed before our eta to our destination. We found this as a last resort, and they were very helpful. We were in and out pretty quick, and got some tips about where we are going to. The view of the river was great, and would definitely recommend to anyone, as far as customer service, views, and helpfulness. read more

I don't understand the 4 dollar signs! Their price was VERY reasonable, and they gave a generous military discount. We rolled in, with no reservation, at 11:30PM, and the hosts were up waiting for a guest due to arrive at 1:00AM! Never seen that before. They even gave us a late check out on the Fourth of July!! The sites are level (although close together & no trees) the bathrooms are very clean, and the setting was pretty right on the river. read more

This place is absolutely lovely! Even in mid-October, the river views are stunning. The grounds are well-kept, and the owners are very appreciative of the military-- lots for active duty are only $25 and include hookups, bathrooms and free showers! We brought in a 25 ft RV and felt comfortable in the lot we were in. The groundskeeper's snickerdoodle welcome cookies are the best! They even showed us where our lot was with a flashlight out in the pouring rain. We will come back here for our next RV trip. Clean, quiet and just what an RV family needs. read more

I have stayed at this RV Park 4 times last two years. This year I came over with with my adults three children , their spouses and kits. We all had a great weekend there and we all left talking about coming back next year for another great reunion. I can say that everyone in management treated us with the most respect and help when needed. The primary manager is incompetent & expects to be constantly praised for "working her magic" to cover her own mistakes - never admitting her own errors, of course. RV spaces are a bit "cozy" and not much privacy, but the surroundings are great. We had one of the spots right on the river and what a view to wake up to. Bathrooms and showers very good. Easy bike ride to town on level streets. Wi-fi is strong as long as you go to the clubhouse building, but weak at the sites. Nice place to stay for a night or two on a road trip around the Peninsula. Owners very friendly and helpful. P.S. To the person who gave 1 star because it wasn't a dog park: Why would you even think it was a dog park? It is called the Hoquiam RV Park.. Perhaps you have it confused with one of the city parks? read more

Happened upon this little spot while traveling down the coast. Rates for tent camping are only $20/night and you get much more than other campsites for this price! Our site was located right beside the river. We had electrical hookup, water spout, picnic table, fire ring and FREE firewood! There is a little clubhouse you can 'rent' (really just go grab the key, no extra charge) that has a fully stocked kitchen, living room area, tables, and games. It was so nice to spend an evening indoors after being on the road for a while. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful! Laundry and restroom facilities were very clean and well maintained. So glad we got to experience this little spot! read more

Bathrooms are beautiful. The owners guide you into your spot and Denise makes homemade goodies for her guests. They couldn't be nicer. Asking you if you need anything. Don't judge the park by the entrance. It's very deceiving. Doesn't have good curb appeal. I would stay again. read more

When I made my reservation, the woman I spoke to asked me to call if I was going to arrive after 4 PM. I did so, estimating my arrival at 6PM and she asked me to call again about 15 minutes before I arrived so that she could "come down and get me registered". I assumed that meant she did not live on site. I did not have cell service when I got there. I drove in, stopped at the entrance hoping she might have come to meet me since it was close to 6. I did not see anyone, so I proceeded to find a site. I wrote a note, explaining that I was unable to call due to no cell service and I would register in the morning. As I exited my vehicle, intending to place the note at the office, a woman began shouting at me from another site across the way. She told me to "get right back to where I came in". I said there was no one there. She screamed that she had been on the porch and watched me drive in and that her husband would meet me and I needed to register like the sign said. If I had not been so tired, I would have just left. I drove back to the office and got another lecture from the husband about how they are there 24/7 and the "stop sign" is to be obeyed before registering. It is a mystery to me why I had to call if I was arriving after 4 and again 15 minutes out if they are available 24/7. Also, why if she was on the porch when I drove in, she did not walk up to the site I drove into and speak to me, her CUSTOMER, like a normal human being instead of screaming at me from across the way, like I was a disobedient child. The location along the river is pretty. The sites are close together and gravel. I did not use the bathroom. I was unable to get on their WiFi the whole time I was there. The cable in the pull thru sites only works with the newer digital TV's unless you have a converter box. read more

i had the not so pleasant experience of stayin at this park for a few months in the spring of 2013. beautiful location...horrible management. when I moved in, I requested a prorated rent as I was going to be there as a "monthly" renter. the manager told me that they don't do that there...and it was ok to pay late as long as I paid the late fee...this should have been a red flag to me, but I decided to stay anyway. while staying here, I reported to the management that there was black mold and huge hairballs in the ladies shower stalls. it all went down hill from there. the management had the nerve to blame me for the hair. DISCUSTING!! shortly after, I found a meth pipe in the dog area...didn't turn it in because I just knew she would blame me. (I don't drink, do drugs, or shed fist size balls of hair when I bathe, just FYI) at one point in time she came to my door..drunk, because my dogs barked when someone knocked on my door. she accused me of having twice as many dogs and people in my RV than there really was. I guess ppl really do see double when they are drunk. I knew then that she had it out for me, the next day she told me she wanted me to leave. (saw that comin) and said it was because my rent was always late...and because I had reported the bathrooms. (yes, rent was late...I told them it would be since they don't prorate...but my late fees were not late and I always paid in full!) a few months later, I sent an email requesting the number for the owner of the park, explained that I wanted to make a complaint....and got nothing but the run around. so after a little bit of research, I found the number and called the owner to make a complaint and ask for some sort of compensation. seems the way the management runs the park is perfectly acceptable to the owners as they weren't interested in what I had to say. so, if ur a drunk, a druggie, or fine with black mold and hair in your shower....this is the place for u! otherwise...I suggest u go to the next town (ocean shores is nice) read more

We stayed here in our 42 foot motor home in June 2013. We did not use bathroom or laundry there so can't comment. Spaces were adequate, not all have picnic benches. We had a nice view of the river but we were lucky. Nice trail to walk our dog and friendly folks in charge of park. We chose it because we had never been to this particular area of WA. it was a good home base for our explorations. Would stay again if we could get our same spot. read more

I spent almost a year here for work. Talk about burnt out on this place. The location is wonderful and it is a great place to stay for a short while. But when an extended stay is needed, I would try somewhere else. The groundskeeper has been there too long, has too much of a foothold and is a bully. The female park manager is two faced. If she receives a complaint call from the groundskeeper, even being erroneous, expect threatening drunken calls from her at any hour and her husband will back her up no matter how ludicrous. I have never been in a park where the manager was so disrespectful and out of line. Oh, if they can't get a hold of you at any time, they wont hesitate to shut off the power that you pay for. Don't keep too much food in the fridge or important electronics in your rig. read more

This park is rated higher in the Good Sam book than it really is. Close to being a bit seedy and unkempt. Hookups are at far rear of spaces. Restroom went a whole day without TP, until we asked.
