Garren is the owner and only chimney /stove worker, his wife answers the phone and sets appointments. They were both professional, very knowledgeable, friendly/pleasant to work with, answered all my questions, and showed up the next day - after calling just before closing the day before. Our clogged cap came about because the previous chimney co. I hired- just sent a wire brush up the pipe in our house and called it Good. I had questioned them at the time how could they reach that high and really get the cap clean , he said they do it all the time : ( Garren did it right, and climbed on our steep roof, and even brought the cap down to give it a good scrub.... Too many fly by night companies who are in it for the volume and money to be made....This family company is the real deal, and I feel are very trustworthy, honest, and reasonable. It took days for him to make printable and send it to my email. The bill for the inspection was $475 and when I asked what should be done I was told I would need another inspection. Costing $900. What Kurtis called a level 2 inspection. His advice was to tear down the chimney and rebuild because it had been painted. I called out three other companies who said clean it, rebuild the crown, put new caps and it will be fully functional. I would never use this company.

They said they verified the information they had was correct and did not know why the crew did not have time to finish the job. They said they would re-schedule and call back. I did receive a call but was on the phone and could not answer it. I have called a total of 10 times today and no answer. I left messages and calls have not been returned. I was also told I would receive a confirmation email. No email has been received. I would like them to complete the work but may need to contact another company.

The cost was a little much but I was able to add it on to my home loan. The high-ish cost is the only reason this review isn't five stars. The couple that came and did the work were really good. They got everything done in less time than I was expecting and the did a great job. They turned my fireplace and chimney from falling apart/inoperable to perfect condition in two days. We called Charlie out to inspect our chimney to see if we could section it off in order to do some…read morehome renovations. When we scheduled the appointment all he did was ask for our address and we coordinated a time and date for the appointment. When he arrived at hour home, he moved the screen away from our fireplace and used a flashlight to look up into the chimney. Immediately he identified a coil/vent and stated that we can't section off the chimney because likely that was the exhaust to our water heater and/or furnace. He went outside, looked up at the chimney and opined that was in fact what it was. Throughout this 15-20 minute exchange he spent the majority of the time talking about random facts about himself ie, when he purchased his home, for how much, the interest rate etc. We were polite and listened to him speak, waiting for a break so that we could walk him out. When we walked him out he turned and said, normally I charge $150.00 for an inspection, how does $80.00 sound? I was dumbstruck. At no point were we ever told about a service fee and no inspection was completed. We paid him the $80.00 and it hasn't sat right with us since. We feel taken advantage of and duped. We get quotes all the time and have never been charged, as its simply the cost of doing business; quoting jobs for potential work. The best part, he commuted less than a mile from his home to ours. We are very disheartened by this experience and hope that this doesn't happen to others.
