They installed heat pump AC unit which wasn't functioning 8 months later; the thermostat became non-functional. they did come out very quickly to evaluate it. My issue is with their communication. I wasn't here when their technician came out and didn't get any answer until I reached out. Then I was told it might be the thermostat and I went down the rabbit hole of trying to reset that. Later ( admittedly they looked into it on my behalf after usual working hours) I heard that a part needed to be ordered for the outside control panel. I hope that is the answer. I wish that they would figure out some way( paper/email/ phone call) for the technician to let me know real time what is discovered. It is stressful to have AC not working mid-summer and not know what the issue is or when it will be fixed. read more

Our gas insert suddenly went out at the same time as our gas furnace quit working- the outages were not related, just coincidental-so from Friday night to Monday we had no heat. I called and spoke with Rachael and she immediately responded with concern and arranged to have the next available tech come to my house Monday morning. Fernando and Elijah arrived within 10 minutes and quickly diagnosed the problem-it was a pump for fuel to light the insert and the part was available in their truck. Within a fairly short time the new part was installed and the insert was up and running. Fernando and Elijah made sure everything worked and even got the light inside the insert working. We were having some issues with our gas insert fireplace and called several companies, a few who didn't return our phone messages, others who said they couldn't get back to us for several weeks, but Paul at Sure Flame responded quickly and scheduled the work for a few days after we contacted him. I cannot say enough good things about Sure Flame. During the power outage in the recent storms, I needed to get my gas insert repaired. I unfortunately called the wrong company. They were $100 more for the site fee than Sure Flame, and they tried to gouge me for a total of $3177 to fix my unit. Sure Flame fixed everything for $450 (That includes the site visit). They are trustworthy, up-front, customer-focused, and extremely professional. Beware!!!!! There are shady companies out there that gouge on materials, and misrepresent themselves as repair specialists when they are only replacement specialists. Then he was able to come out almost immediately and properly bid the job. In person he was respectful and took great care to both use PPE but also to not mess up my house. He was even dog friendly. Paul came out to service our gas fireplace which was covered in soot and hadn't been adjusted properly. He was right on time, very nice, and let me hang around and ask questions while he worked. Now I know that our fireplace has a fan speed control and how to remove the glass panels, among other things. He added a remote thermostat (we can wall mount it). He didn't put it up on the wall, but we have someone in house who's good at that, so that worked out fine. It took almost exactly an hour. Total cost for remote and service was $445. I'm not 100% sure if that's high, but it went smoothly and he knew what he was doing. Since we probably won't need to service it often, I think it was worth it regardless.
