And, save for this hiccup, the administrative person has been nothing but friendly and welcoming. In addition, the service I've received there has been great (with the exception of one hygienist who I'm not sure even works there anymore, but I didn't catch their name anyway), and I have no complaints about the facilities. I am still hesitant to give a full 5 stars just because of the payment policy (which again is that they expect you to pay upfront for all services, and then will refund you once they receive the reimbursement check from your insurance company). I do understand the reasoning behind this and sympathize, given the sad state of health and dental insurance in this country. However, I'm personally not comfortable with the idea of being out several hundred dollars for a couple weeks before the claim is fully processed (even if you know you'll receive a refund, it can still be a financial burden to wait two weeks or so before you receive it). If you are not concerned about that, however, I would recommend Dr. Antonakos for sure.

Went back for a third time and seen another doctor and got a teeth cleaning. Left the cleaning and still had plaque on my teeth. The cleaning was rushed and terrible. They are extremely money hungry and just book you with whomever and rush through the job. Safe to say I won't be returning here. Avoid this practice unless you enjoy being blindsided and dismissed. NYC has better options--go find one.

This dentist performed nine root canals and a placed nine porcelain fused metal crowns in a patient with autism, the patient went in asking for dental sealant and implants, Pannu recommended 11 root canals and crowns. The doctor also refused to do the implants until his recommended treatment was complete, and after his recommended treatment was completed he abandoned the patient and refused to admit that he had put porcelain fused to metal crowns in the patient even though the patient tried to verify half a dozen times that the right material was used. The patient initially said no to root canals, then Pannu disguise that treatment and recommended nerve treatment with a protective coating. The dentist milk Medicaid for $27,000 fraudulently, and the reason he would not use full ceramic crowns which is what the patient consented to in the end, is because he discriminated against the form of payment which was Medicaid, because he was selling cubic zirconia crowns for $3,000 a tooth. Do not go here, do not take your children here, this man committed intentionally negligent torts putting the patient at risk to line his own pocket while submitting this claim to the government and getting paid after falsifying the x-rays that he sent to the insurance.

Comfortable waiting area helps alleviate any "pre-dental-work" tensions, too :-) Only 2 minor quibbles: I'm 6'5 and the dental chair is a tad shorter than my body length (a common issue with big folks like me in any doctor's or dentist's office). Bringing along a small pillow for behind my head helped in my comfort: just a tip if you're tall. Also, because of my height, it was difficult to place myself bodily in their secondary x-rays-chair in one of their offices without contorting myself. But again: not everyone is 6'5 like me. The first set of xrays were the normal set taken in the dental chair which were not an issue...and they sufficed for the x-rays needed in my case. All that aside, Dr. Kim and the dental-office staff were great at their job(s), offer good dental advice and are pleasant to deal with. It made the check in process way easier and shorter. Secretaries are very friendly and helpful. My dental hygienist is very fun and pleasant. She is happy to be work and has great energy. She did X-rays, a thorough cleaning and made sure I was comfortable during the process. The dentist is professional and makes sure I'm doing all my routine flossing and cleaning. Overall great experience. Definitely recommend this dental office.

When I got stuck at work and had to reschedule at the last minute, they were very accommodating. During my visit, my wait was maybe 5 minutes -- right on time. The Doctor was friendly and professional, and not once did I feel like I was being upsold on anything. I was really impressed by this friendly, no-nonsense office and will be returning without the Groupon.
