It took three days for someone to get back to me to schedule an appointment. Then it was 6 weeks to schedule an appointment. I asked her if there was one sooner as I was having some difficulty. She said "Call every day at 8am to see if there's a cancellation." What a joke. They never answer the phone to begin with. read more

I was referred through a long time patient to Horizon Eye Care. I thought because of the location that the service would be exceptional but how wrong I was. I been wearing contacts for 30 years and never had any issues with the right prescription until visiting Horizon. The disparity between my left and right eye is unmistakably noticeable. First time ever this happened to me not to mention I tried calling to get in for the doctor to fix the prescription but to no avail they are either never there or on a perpetual lunch where you're forced to leave a voicemail which I also did. I waited a week for them to call me back, never received a call. How is it that Pearl or Lens Crafters are better than this? Now I have to make an appointment with another eye doctor to get my prescription fixed. Oh well like they say you live and learn. read more

Doctor and the lady taking my prescription measurements were both nice. Followed Covid protocol. Having said all of that, I sat waiting in the "operating room" for over 30 minutes to see the doctor. Never has this occurred. When the doctor came in, didn't offer any apology. read more

Couldn't have asked for better doctors, customer service, and a fabulous personnel staff. I always feel welcome, helped with quickly, and all of my eye care needs are met. Also, the staff up in Optical are terrific and always help me find a pair of glasses that suit my face and personality best. I checked out a few pairs of designer sunglasses elsewhere and returned to see if they could possibly order this pair for me. Not only were they able to do so, but they sold them to me cheaper than retail stores! I definitely recommend this location for eye exams and fashionable eyewear. read more

I've been coming to Horizon Eye Care since my youth and they have never been disappointed. I'm always greeted with a smile and hello every time I come to the Optical or Optometry departments. Their staff treats everyone like family. The Optical department has the best selection of the latest styles of sunglasses and eyewear in the area at reasonable prices. Eric in the Optical department is one of the nicest people I've ever met. If I ever have trouble with my glasses he's my guy. I'm always worried my eye sight has changed each year going to my annual appointment, but they alway put me at ease and make the exam stress free. My doctor Dr. Dean Shissias is amazing!! He always starts out with a joke and we see how my eyes are behaving. If you're new to the area and looking for a fantastic optician or optometrist come to Horizon Eye Care!! I have visited Horizon Eye Care 3 times. - Once in Margate and once in Egg Harbor Township and again today in EHT. When I arrived and saw the waiting room full, I asked how long the wait would be. They told me for Dr. Garg, the wait was always 1 to 2 hours. I find this totally unacceptable. Simply because a person has letters behind their name does not mean their time is More valuable than ours. Horizon Eye Care constantly over schedules with no regard for their patients. Unless you have a whole lot of time on your hands with nothing better to do, I recommend finding a doctor who treats you more like a person than a number in a high turnover patient mill. read more
