First time here.....(allergy) Parking: more than enough parking at 9am, the clinic is located in a shopping center Clinic: there are visible signs of where you need to go for check-in. I was greeted almost immediately when approaching the counter to check-in. The clinic seemed clean. There's a little kids area with a TV, etc. Staff: all the staff seemed to be pretty friendly, but we really liked the nurse who took my daughter's vitals, etc. Her name is Tiffany. She made us feel really welcomed, took her time reminding/educating us on how to use an EpiPen, if needed. Physician: she was ok, very direct, straightforward and informative. Felt a little uncomfortable talking with her (Erica), it made me feel like she was staring right through me with no facial expressions when talking with her. Not something I'm use to. Would I go back? Based on how I felt personally with the physician, I don't know and can't base it on 1 visit. But for now, yes, because this isn't about me, this is about the health of my daughter. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. This place is incredibly frustrating to deal with. You can expect to be on hold for over an hour just trying to make an appointment. When we finally arrived, we were turned away for being "late," even though we were within minutes of the scheduled time. Meanwhile, we were made to wait just to be told we wouldn't be seen. To make it worse, the office wasn't even busy. There seems to be constant turnover with both doctors and staff, and the overall experience feels disorganized and unprofessional. I called months ago to set up appt for my kids yearly well checkup. I was a little late do to it snowing and coming from a far distance. I had to call in my kids for this check up. when I got there Amanda said they would only see one of my kids because we were late. Then she was running back and forth then was like oh look at that we don't take your insurance. My kids have been going to the doctor office since they were 4 and 6. They could have told me about the insurance ahead of me calling my kids out driving so far in the snow. Based on my last 2 visits of them trying to give my kids medicine they don't need. I should have changed doctors then. Amanda also recommended I go to the urgent care for physical because the service would be better. The call center and receptionist are rude and should learn to keep their opinions to themselves. When they don't like the answer you give them, they make it harder to schedule an appointment. For instance, I had one schedule an appointment three weeks in advance, but when I checked online, I found one available in a few days. Additionally, they ask you to arrive 15 minutes early, which is fine, but I don't understand the point of showing up early to maintain the schedule if you'll end up waiting in the exam room for 45 minutes. read more

The biggest reason that I have to give this one star, is because we rely on our phones to get a hold of our doctors offices - and you can't get a hold of this office very easily. What happened to me has happened more than once in similar fashion. I called 45 minutes before their "lunch break outage". The queue had 14 people in it. It was clearing at one call every 10 minutes. They do capital NOT clear the queue before they go to lunch. I waited anyways, and the queue was actually clearing swifter during the lunch hour. It took me 90 minutes for my call to be answered. Just horrible!!! My drive to that office is 20 minutes. I should just drive there versus call because I can't get them to answer the phone. Absolutely horrible Customer Experience. The absolute worst pediatric care my kids have ever received. The front desk staff shows no empathy or emotion and lacks the customer service skills needed to even be employed. Even when trying to make an appointment it is a thirty minute process. I started at the green valley location and had no other option but to switch as the prior location Closed. I've never had a medical office turn me away for being early/on time for an appointment..... I called in to schedule a same day appointment as my kid was very sick, and luckily they had back-to-back openings available. We took the last opening - thinking this would be easier as there would be no appointment behind us... I got a text later in the morning asking to CONFIRM my appointment. Not only do I confirm my appt via text but I also complete the online check in. I'm thinking we have done our due diligence... Our appointment was at 5:15pm (arrive at 5pm). We walk in at 5:06pm. The receptionist asks me for our name and then tells me that unfortunately, we will have to reschedule as we have missed the 5 minute window/grace period. She proceeds to tell me that when they come out and call your name at your arrival time (5pm), you get 5 minutes and if you aren't there, you have to reschedule. Completely shocked, I told her that this was only our second time at this location, and no one ever told us about this "5 minute rule". I told her that I even left work early just to get here. She responded with a robotic apology and said that we had to reschedule. You would think since we didn't know this rule that we would have gotten a (pity) warning/exception. Nope. Thinking maybe she didn't see that I had already checked in a few hours ago, I told her that I already checked in on my phone that morning. She responded with, "That's just PREREGISTRATION and that doesn't count." WTH? What is the point of texting me to CONFIRM my appointment then??? I told her, if there are no exceptions to the 5 minute rule, why was this not shared with me when I called in to make the appointment earlier that morning?She apologized and said she would, "share that feedback." There was zero effort on her end in trying to find another solution or exception as we were already there. What kills me is that the lobby was completely EMPTY and MY CHILD WAS SICK - just standing there and yet we were still turned away. Our appointment was at 5:15pm. What kind of medical office schedules you for an appointment for 5:15pm then tells you at 5:07pm that you've lost your slot. Again, let me emphasize that lobby was completely empty. It's not like they were slammed with a room of sick kids. What a horrible experience. I would not recommend this place. Clearly, they don't care about service excellence, especially when a sick child who needs a doctor is standing in your lobby ON TIME for her appointment. I've been coming here for 6 years solely out of desperation, but I would rate zero stars. Every time you call you're on hold for 45 minutes. Appointments take over 2 hours because your waiting 90 minutes to see someone even if you arrive early. The doctors here truly do not care about your best interest. Whitney Harrington literally told us today she wasn't willing to diagnose my son due to insurance. Why should that matter when a child is needing help?!? They don't listen, it's been a miserable experience for years. Their patient care and customer service is negligent. Changing management companies 3 times hasn't improved anything. Very unprofessional after 5 years of going here they've just got worse and worse. They don't answer the phones! My son has a bad case of coughs fever and I've been trying to get ahold of his pediatrician to get next steps and they refuse to answer. At this point I'm ready to drive down to the dang office to get him seen or tested. I've been calling since 4pm yesterday and this morning since 8am. Very unprofessional I don't know if there phones work but I got transferred to another department yesterday at 4:15 and she said they should be open. This being a children's pediatrician they need to step it the heck up because now I feel like my son is being neglected by his own doctor who he has been going to since he was born! He is now 5. I've been with horizon pediatrics for around 4 years , and every time I need to schedule an appointment they give me 100+ reasons to chose a different pediatric. They do not answers calls at all. Even when they are completely not busy in the office. Everytime I would go in with my daughter not one single nurse would give us a nice attitude. Thankfully year 2024 I will have my daughter in a new pediatricians office. They will leave you on hold for 1+ hours if they wanted to just so you don't schedule an appointment. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I was told self pay appointments for my baby would be like $125 or $145 (this was awhile ago so I can't exactly remember). I get a receipt in the mail saying all my appointments were MINIMUM $200?? I was also told the price of his immunizations(they were supposedly really cheap. They'd tell me I'd owe a certain amount after his appointments and I'd pay that amount...Now all of a sudden they're saying I owe them $2000 and that the immunizations were over $130 for every appointment?? What was I paying for at my appointments then?? And also one of the shots they gave my son cost $519!!! and they didn't inform of that!!! These people are pure EVIL. read more

Welp! After years of coming here. They have gone down greatly! Trying to get an appointment is near impossible. 10 minute wait time to get transferred to a voicemail then when you leave one, no one calls back... ever. Then, you get hung up on. They blame it on low staff, which could be the case, but when we arrive they aren't frantic to help anyone. I have been taking my kids, and now two older teens, to see Dr. Becka for years. We don't live close, but I still drive to this office, only because of her. She has helped steer us in the right direction, for different issues, for many years. The office is not great, but not horrible. The wait time is long. In all, it's a fine office, but now that my kids are older, I will probably move them on soon. I have had no billing issues, and they are on top of the referrals my kids have needed. read more

I have always been quite well served by the medical staff as well as the office staff at Horizon Pediatrics and Primary Care. I take my children to this practice. My husband and myself are also cared for by this practice. We all have Medicaid. We get into our appointments in a timely manner and are treated well by the medical staff, too. Also as an heads up. I tried to get my sons records from here and the staff told me no! First off that is against the law. Second, I have worked in Dr's offices and know my rights. When your nurse said she threw away my sons physical form for his dentist, I claimed that was a HIPPA violation. They were very quick to retract some statements. Let me start by saying that Dr. Williams is wonderful. That's where the positive ends. Forget scheduling with any sort of efficiency. When calling for a medication refill appointment I was transferred in circles each of the 11 times I called over the course of 1 week. Each time I left voicemail. Of the 11 times I called, I received two calls back, both I missed while at work. On the 12th time I called I reached someone who told me it would be 3 weeks before they could get me in. After putting my foot down I was given an appointment the next business day. I pulled my son out of school to take him to the appointment, as well as missing work myself. I got stuck in traffic on the way to the appointment and arrived 10 minutes late- and was told that they would be unable to see my son. Absolutely ridiculous that they refuse to accommodate a 5 minute appointment, which my son depends on for his medication. The receptionist was rude, cold and unsympathetic. I wish I could say this was the first negative experience I've had but it takes an act of God every single time I have to schedule anything with this office. In addition my husband has had similar unpleasant experiences. He doesn't have insurance, and pays cash for all medical expenses. He came in for a physical and blood work and paid his balance in full at the time of service. A month later he started receiving invoices for the appointment - showing that they had never received any payment! Even after calling and providing his receipt the issue continues- now he is receiving letters from a collection firm for a service he already paid for. I generally take my daughters to see Meggan Macias at the Green Valley Ranch (she is so sweet), but in emergencies I go to this branch because it is only 5 min away from our house. I have never had a totally positive experience at this place on those 7 times I have gone there. Staff is extremely rude and slow. They do nothing to be helpful and definitely don't care about the patients. When you get there you already feel the negative vibe and mood coming from the front desk. read more

Emily Wilson is amazing!!! Great listener, patient, and made me feel so comfortable. The billing in the office is another story. If you're self pay make sure you ask how much your visit will be and get names. I was quoted $112 for a new patient consult for my medications and was told upon checkout it would be $270!!! I know there are some other people with bad experiences but I haven't had a problem with the place. I have seen some long lines of people--during the colder months. Still they've gotten to to me fairly quickly. I haven't had any negative problems with my bills or scheduling an appointment- in fact I think it's been just the opposite. The doctors I've seen are alright although nowhere near as friendly as the ones we had at Indian Crest. The front office staff is rude, unhelpful, condescending, and don't give a rats ass about the patients. Every nurse my kids have seen have been just as awful as the front staff. The nurses rolled their eyes at me when I voiced concerns over my sons hearing, then proceeded to loudly talk poorly about him IN FRONT OF HIM because he didn't do well on the hearing test. Well, first of all HE'S 4, give him a break. Second, I ASKED YOU TO CHECK IT so OBVIOUSLY there's an issue. Asked them to double check my daughters vision, got eyes rolled at me. They have a 'sick room' and a 'well room', however the well room is never open so you all funnel into one room. Now, I don't care but feel it's asinine to offer two rooms if you only use one. Try to call and you get routed through an automated system and 9 times out of 10 get the 'after hours' line who are completely unhelpful. Worst doctors office I've ever had for my children. Come the new year we will be finding a new practice. I've been to this one a handful of times and have yet to be happy. read more

We have been coming here for 3 years now because it is in network and we ended up finding a doctor here we liked. However, the office has ALWAYS left a lot to be desired and our last visit was enough for us to never return. I had to call 3 times over the course of a few weeks to get various appointments for my kids and was on hold over 20 minutes every time just to wait to speak with the receptionist. When we finally did get an appointment scheduled and drove all the way up there we were told we would have to come back the following week because the equipment they needed to check my daughters eyes was broken and they did not have any of the vaccinations she needed in stock. Why didn't they notify me before we drove 20-25 minutes up there? Last year we also had issues when we got vaccinations. We received a call weeks after my daughter had received a shot there and we were told that the vaccination had been left out of the refrigerator too long and there was a possibility it was no longer good by the time they gave it to her. We were given the option of "taking our chances it was still good or coming in and getting it again"! When I asked for more information on what impact it could have on our daughter they were less than willing to help or give more information. They just repeatedly told me to come in and get it again or not. On this last visit we waited almost 45 minutes before we even got into a room. Then another 5-10 for the doctor to come in. She was in our room a few minutes before a nurse came in and started discussing another patient (by name!!) that had just had a strep test that came back negative and she was asking the doctor what she would like to do for that patient. This was all being discussed in our room and in front of us. HIPPA violation! After they talked for a minute the nurse left, the Dr. talked to us for another minute before excusing herself from our room stating that she was going to go finish up with the other patient. She was gone probably another 10 minutes before reappearing and rushing through the rest of our appointment. I get that you are busy, I do... but we are your patients too. When we came back the following week for the vaccinations, the nurse we had was very rude. Not to mention, very unsanitary. Instead of using her hand to uncap the needle, she used her teeth!!! We were given no information on the vaccinations and 2 days later my daughter had a really bad rash that went from her shoulder almost all the way down to her elbow and was hot to the touch. I was concerned so I called them. It was a Saturday morning but they were open. When I called and asked to speak with a nurse the receptionist informed me there were no nurses, only doctors. So I asked to speak with one or leave a message for one to return my call. I was told no. Apparently that is not an option! Never again, NEVER! A patient should not have to wait 20 minutes just to make an appointment, especially when you are a pediatricians office. Hire more staff and learn patient confidentiality! read more

I had a 2pm appt and showed up at 1:40pm to do the check in on the tablet but they were having a staff meeting and the office was closed til 2. So I killed some time at the 3 margs next door. When I returned at 2, the front desk lady rudely told me I should have shown up earlier to complete the check in process (which took 3 mins being as this was a follow up and my son's insurance had not changed in 2 weeks).
