First visit with Platte River Medical Center was amazing, as soon as I arrived I was helped by one of the receptionist ladies, she helped me complete my paperwork prior to the visit as well as getting my insurance and payment cards into the system. I didn't wait long at all and was called back promptly, staff asked questions about my health and were overall really helpful. Staff was extremely respectful and made me feel comfortable. This place is a joke.... All of the staff are rude. If you make an appointment at 8:00, be rest assured you'll be there til 9:00 before they call you back into the rooms to wait an additional 30 minutes and 8 employees are sitting in their phones and talking to each other. Ended up leaving and scheduling with my doctor and driving all the way across town. Welcome to the new generation of lazy employees who only care about themselves. The new girl at the front desk is RUDE!! She didn't understand that when booking my appointment it saved the wrong birthday... so when I told her I was not a 6month old baby coming in.. she told me well I'm sorry we can't help you we are not accepting new patients... I have been a patient for 15 years!! It actually took me getting a nurse in back to explain to her what was going on.. the entire time she rolled her eyes! Was told my appointment would be at 1115 was never seen even waiting in the lobby until 1215 For some reason with the line reaching the door . Multiple children screaming and running around only one person (with two people sitting directly next to her) was able to use the computer to check people in or do anything the other two ladies for about 2 hours straight sat next to that young woman while she was on the computer. They just texted and acted almost like it was an inconvenience they had to touch even the clip boards patients filled out It was to the point where a mother asked for a tissue and the girls texting couldn't be bothered so the girl taking appointments, paperwork and everything else even went & got the damn tissue this is trash I don't recommend for anyone with an actual emergency. read more

I made the mistake of putting 11 AM on my appointment calendar instead of 1 PM as it should have been. The staff said "boy you are early" on my arrival of 10:45 AM and I did not think much of it. Well, in about 15 minutes I was in with my Dr. Only when I was leaving they told me I was 2 hours early. My point is the staff, without fanfare worked me in on their own. Of course I would not expect this in the future, but it shows that the Platte River team will do all they can to accommodate their patients. I'm a fan of Dr Euser...he's kind of like that neighbor next door doctor from my childhood (even though we are nearly identical in age). His assistant Julie is amazingly efficient, the staff friendly and smiling (a plus when you go into a doctors office) and the phlebotomist the best I've ever had. 4+ stars. They aren't perfect, but close. read more

I do want to start out by saying that the Clinic manager, Sara, was awesome! She was very professional and objective and honestly wanted to help. That being said, the visit was one of the worst experiences we have ever had. I brought my boyfriend in to see Shawna Karman. The PA started out by taking a brief history and from the get go sounded very judgmental and condescending. He came in for foot pain and she didn't even touch his foot. His foot was very visibly swollen. You would think she would check it for tenderness or flexibility. She did none of that. We asked for blood work when we first got there to see if it was Gout. She put in the visit note that we did not want to do blood work. He did not fast for nothing... She said that the only treatment for Gout was NSAIDS and changing your diet... She never brought up any of the many Gout medications available or that steroids would help immediately with flare ups. I understand it is frustrating when someone tells you they work at a clinic and suggest certain things... But I told her that I worked at a practice and I know that we sometimes prescribe steroids or give steroid injections. I asked her if that was something they did there. She immediately snapped at me and said that if I wanted to have him go to my clinic for care then I can. I was simply just asking a question if they did that there. I know I am not a doctor, but I do know when you have a gout flare up that you need something more than just ibprofen. Only after I left the room did she give him a prescription for Predisone. But without even looking at his foot or doing blood work, how does she even know for sure that it is Gout. What if he fractured his foot? When I called the clinic to discuss our concerns I first spoke to Sara who was great. She understood my frustration and so she got Shawna's supervising physician, Dr. Smith, to call me. Dr. Smith was not so professional and objective. She completely took the PA's side. Said they would have him come in to see another provider at no cost. I told her I didn't know if I would be able to get him to come in, told her it took me 4 years to even go to the doctor. She cut me off and told me that was none of her business. I told her I was just explaining to her part of why I was so frustrated. Then I let her know it was hard because I felt that Sara was very objective and that it felt like Dr. Smith was just taking Shawna's side. She then got mad at me and said she takes back her offer of having him come back to see someone else. Horrible customer service and bedside manner! I understand it sucks when you have patients, or patient family members get call you frustrated about any issue, but Sara handled it well by staying professional and courteous, which made it easy for me to stay professional and courteous to her. Dr. Smith and Shawna did not have the same level of professionalism... read more

This place is ridiculous. I've unfortunately been a patient here for several years. You can't ever get in when you're sick. If you manage to get an appointment for a physical or woman's exam, they ask you to arrive 15 minutes early and you end up waiting for at least 30. Then after your vitals are taken, you sit waiting for the actual doctor for another 15 to 30 minutes. Then some joke of a PAC, not a full-fledged doctor, comes and bestows 5 minutes of her time, if you're lucky, all the while talking to you like you're a dumb child. The final straw was when I contacted them to have some forms signed and they said it would take a full week to get them back. I needed them sooner than that so I made an appointment. After pulling teeth to get the joke of a PAC to sign it, I get slapped with $120 bill. For a signature that should have been procurred through an email not necessary of an appointment. So I paid my bill and requested my records because I'm done being abused. Their response was that I'd be charged for them. I'm pretty sure that's illegal. I'm not sure, so I'm contacting my family attorney after posting this. But I plan to eviscerate this asinine place to anyone who will listen and on every social platform that will allow it. Patients are essentially customers, and we shouldn't have to bend over backwards and pay outrageous fees for underwhelming service. Bad form! read more

If only I could give negative stars. where to began. My family and I have been patients for... lets say 10 years. The main reason why I am addressing my concern is because my child which was a patient was seeking help to determine why he is feeling depressed. His mental health is extremely fragile and your office contributed to him believing that there is no help for him after your turned him away for YOUR own staff incompetence. I plead to you NOT to bring your teenage child here for help. Teenage suicide is very real and it is extremely hard to get them to seek help. When the child actually decides, yes it's best to seek help... and the Dr. office who is supposed to be there to help turns them away... There should be a fine placed on this practice. I emailed Dr. Euser at tonyeuser@platterivermed.com which is the email address I was given by Sara the office manager. I am not confident this is even a good email address for him. I followed all steps possible to make this appointment a success because I was thrilled my son was willing to see a Dr. But, I was blamed for a consent form not filled out, which it was by using the on-line like I was sent by the office earlier in the week... I also called to updated my insurance information. When my son got there to check in they told him it was invalid. Right after he left the office and I called the office - the insurance some how appeared to now be active and "maybe he could come back." read more

I was able to make a new patient appointment on the same day for my husband who caught the flu. They were running on schedule and everyone was very nice and professional. The physician assistant was very nice, caring, and informative. We will be coming here from now on. I highly recommend this place. read more

I have been with PRMC for several years now. I have never had a problem with them. Everyone I see is friendly and very good at what they do. I have had several opportunities to switch medical providers but didn't feel it was necessary due to the care and attention I receive. I will continue to use them and recommend them to others. read more

I am/have been in Colorado area working for an extended period of time. Therefore, I am not able to see my normal doctor and I decided to give this facility a try when I became ill. Everyone was as accommodating as they could be- even though I was a new patient to them. I am extremely impressed for I travel a great deal for my work and this facility is one of the better that I have encountered in the various states where I have required some medical attention. I will continue to address my medical needs while in this area.. I will even travel "back" a fair distance as the area I cover in Colorado is quite large to see my doctor here. I highly recommend this location even if there might be a "few minutes" wait- to me, it is well worth it. read more

Do not go here. I was seen by a doctor I was not told was only there on Wednesdays and not every Wednesday and cannot get a prescription refill for 2 weeks from when requested. This is crazy, it is for thyroid medicine which needs to be taken daily!! read more

Do Not use this facility for medical care. I have been sick three times this year with one of those instances landing me in the emergency room but I could not get a same day appointment with my supposed doctor despite the urgency of my illnesses. They always offered me an appointment that was a week or more away! I also had a physical completed last November specifically at the doctors request but now cannot get any paperwork filled out for my work that states that I had that physical. They keep saying "it wasn't coded as a physical" Most likely it was coded as something they could charge more for but that's just my speculation. I have had nothing but issues with their billing department. From not understanding my insurance but then argue with me when I tell them what my insurance will cover, ( most insurance companies cover yearly physicals at 100% mine does and knew that) argued that I owe you 400.00 for a yearly exam that consisted of checking my weight, blood pressure and asking me a bunch of questions. No blood tests or urine samples, you check my weight and blood pressure everytime I go there so just because we call it a physical it costs me or my insurance 400.00?! My insurance company called them to explain it because it didn't go through with me. Then I see their urgent care for slicing a chunk of my finger off. They over charged me upright argued with me about the information that is on my insurance card. Argued. My card said plain as day that my co pay for urgent care was 50.00. Becuase she could call because it was after hours, she forced me to pay 150.00. I had to call my insirance company, and see what was wrong with the information on my card. Guess what they said? Nothing!! And that they NEVER shoukd have charged me any more than what was on my card. This was almost 2 months ago and I have yet to see a refund check after calling about 6 times, 4 of those times I left a message and no one ever called back. Today once again been almost 2 weeks since I was told that they will send a check out. Called no one answered, and I'm sure I won't hear back from anyone. I'm beyond frustrated with this place and never take my family back here. And that's just scratching the surface of the issues I've had with their billing department. read more

I have been looking for a new Dr. since I moved here from AZ. The staff was pleasant enough, but I am NOT ok with medical Dr.'s not listening to patients and pushing medication, EVER. I came in because I was having a bit of digestive issues (which are now resolved, but not thanks to this group) and at my 1st appointment they did blood work. I was not thinking and had something to drink that morning so I came in the following day and did the rest of my bloodwork. I had some very weird results that made ZERO sense, especially when compared to my blood work from a year previous. When my blood work came back the very 1st thing I could get them to tell me was "I needed to come in to discuss treatment options." TREATMENT options? For what!! I am extremely grateful I listened to my own self and not a clinic that decided my 1st option was "treatment" without first having a conversation with me like: was there any extenuating circumstances, had I had any of these issues before etc? I decided to have another Dr. run my results a few weeks later and he told me flat out I was 100% correct in challenging the results because he has no idea how they came up with those numbers and he was glad I did not go in for "treatment." I will not be back, I am not ok with pushing medication and not finding out a solution to the problem that does not involve drugs or treatment as the 1st resort, it should be the last always. Also, when the Dr. asked me if I wanted to be referred to a specialist I said I would prefer to wait until we had results back and determine if there was a need for one. I noticed in my chart it says "I refused a referral." I did not refuse, I stated let's see 1st if it is necessary. Since medical records follow a person I am extremely unhappy with this because it may appear I am a "difficult patient." read more
