We needed some roof repairs on our rowhome and called Horizon after seeing a bunch of great things online. Ken was responsive and had estimators out within a day or two and then laid out our options for us. Came out a few days later , emailed the estimate , I have to say I waited a few weeks , because I was waiting on another estimate from another company that never came through . Hired them about a year and a half ago for an active leak and minor other patchwork, took several months for someone to show and the work to get done. The small factors were done but there's no measurability for those. The primary ask was to seal and patch all flashings in order to stop the active leak an inhibit potential ones. The leak was actually made worse after almost $1,000 spent, turns out one worker knocked the flashing to the side of the skylight even more loose. I asked if they could make this simple fix only to be told a $1,500+ skylight replacement would be needed despite my please to simply try patching it. Instead I spent $7 on roofing sealant and about 10 minutes putting the flashing in proper placement and sealant on the inside and around the edges; 16 months later and not a drop of water, sealant also looks perfectly fine still. Avoided a scam attempt at replacing the newest skylight on my block while neighbors are decades older with no issues. Four Twelve is pricier but more validated work, individual contractors will give better deals and fix a mistake if they make it, not horizon. read more
