Tres Leches never disappoints! So light and delicious! The owner is super nice. Also bought concha's and they were soft and tasty.

The "Magdalenas" here are amazing. They have a great assortment of baked goods! The owner is super friendly.

Fresh and tasty treats! We were so excited to come by and grab a cake. They had such a nice variety. Everything we ordered was delicious. The woman behind the counter was so sweet and helpful. She explained everything that they had when we had questions and made great recommendations. We decided on a tres leches cake, but of course got some ice cream for the road. I wish we also got a cookies and cream cake, they looked awesome! We will be back for sure and grab some conchas and other treats.

The first time we went (back in 2017) we were not impressed with the selection. Went back again this year and will be my go to for pan dulce! Their pan dulce tastes just like the one I used to have growing up from the panadero. What's even better is their cakes. We bought a tres leches cake last minute, and they were able to add a special message on the cake. It is definitely one of the best tres leches cakes I've had.

There's a few things I do when I first get home to Texas. This includes buying Julio's Tortilla Chips, eating tex-mex, and getting some Shipley's Donuts. This time I added a Mexican bakery search. Horno Mexican Bakery popped up in my Yelping, and was about 15 minutes away. Really, I'm going for churros, no lie. I ventured over as soon as possible, about 11 AM on a Friday and there were still many options at the bakery. As others have said, the outside sign only says "Bakery" but the window sticker has the name. Inside, you walk in and see the cases of breads and pastries. There is a stack of platters and tongs, and I just grabbed one of each and started loading up. The grand total for my ~10 items was $6. Damn, I should have loaded more! Especially the churros. My only complaint may be that some of the filled items weren't quite filled enough. I also wish they had a few different flavors of churros. No doubt I will be back next time I'm in Houston.

    Conchas. Pretty good.

I walked in here expecting to taste the best tres leches of my life, but unfortunately the cake did not measure up to my expectations. The other reviewers made it sound divine! Instead, when my family and I all had a bite of the tres leches, we all found it dry and lacking sweetness. It wasn't quite desserty enough and trust me, we've had plenty of good tres leches before. The lady behind the counter wasn't friendly either-- in fact, she was quite rude! We tried to make small talk while asking her about the tres leches and waiting for some of my family members to pick out their pan dulce, and she just seem so annoyed to have us there. Sorry that we are interested in purchasing some pastries? :/ The conchas were tasty. My grandmother's concha was a bit stale, but mine was soft and fresh. They weren't too sweet, which I appreciate. My brother's churro wasn't so good though. It was too hard for him to chew, so sadly, we had to dispose of it when we left the bakery. Overall, this place seems overrated. I might come back for conchas and to try some other pan dulces. They had some guava and mango empanadas that looked delicious! Hopefully someone nicer is working behind the counter that day....

I don't come often because parking is always a nightmare, and tonight was no exception. When I showed them the app, the staff seemed confused on how to do a redemption. So they had to call the owner for help. The owner apparently told them not to honor the redemption because they were in the process of switching rewards program platforms, and what used to be a 50‑point reward was going to be a 300‑point reward. The staff said my points would transfer eventually, but I only will have 63 -- not enough under the new system. Hey, I'm no entrepreneur. But I am a customer who eats out all the time. And to me this is a textbook example of an owner who doesn't get customer service. I drove all the way there, dealt with the parking, and came specifically to redeem a reward that still showed as valid in their app. It's not my fault their system hadn't switched over yet. These cakeball and truffle treats are only the size of a donut hole. It's not one of their higher end desserts. The obvious right move would've been to honor the reward and give the customer the treat. But nope. They chose the stingy route instead. And with that one decision, they lost another customer. Congrats and enjoy your cakeballs.

Ordered this Chinese-styled birthday cake over the phone on Wed for pick up on Saturday for a special birthday celebration for my dad. I described what we were seeking and she understood exactly what we wanted. It was ready and in a pretty sturdy box with birthday candles and a plastic cake knife. It had strawberries, grapes, canned peaches and kiwi. It was absolutely delicious and fed 14 adults for $52 and worth it. We would definitely order another from here as we saw so many other delicious cakes in the display when we went to pick up ours.

Then, I found out it's replaced by Anna's Bakery. I ordered a few pastries and had a very high expectation. I ate one of the egg custards from the buy 2 get one free tray. It tasted like a butter cookie crust with egg flavored something filling. I can't make out of the ingredients. Not custard not pudding. I sure don't like it. I bought other pastries and hoped they taste good. I went home to eat the layered cake. It's lightly sweet, which I liked. It also came in a cute gift box. The presentation was decent. As I was eating the Strawberry Cheesecake, I bit into a foreign object in the cream filling. It had chewy texture and definitely not cheese. I don't come to this part of town often. I just wanted to say that I am glad there is a bakery at this mall.

There are plenty tables and chairs for large groups. And sofas ( not in good condition at all... but sofas .. yes)... ya... big ones length wise. Pretty noisy actually. Good noise. Have been craving for fries lately and when I saw Common Bond, was very excited but they didn't carry the thick truffle fries which I was so fond of in the other Common Bond. Still, it was good fries and the staff was very friendly.... many high schoolers doing a summer job so they are super nice. They have a rewards program running - once registered, $spent is $earned in points which can be redeemed later. Staff was friendly and seemed like some of them were high schoolers or sort of, doing summer jobs so they were extra courteous and cautious - it was very much appreciated The fresh pastries were inviting and they had a big menu of other eats too. For me Common Bond and their specialty small dessert cakes went hand in hand. And this bakery did keep up that reputation- they had some sumptuous looking mini cakes. Definitely worth a visit.

I had a couple dollar bills and sped to it before closing, did get cuernitos, cinnamon cookies, and my all time-fave conchas. The conchas were my favorite by far, the cinnamon cookies very powdery, sugary and dusty which is just the way I like it, the cuernitos however I was a little disappointed since they were rally hard even the center with the yellow which is my favorite part. It could be that I did get 2 out of the last 3 they had but I felt they were a little too small and hard for my comfort. The employee was direct and on the mission to check me out which I can understand when there is only 15 minutes until closing time OR perhaps the fact that there was a misfortunate " language barrier" which there wasn't but I like to believe that people miss that I too speak Spanish. The prices were a little higher than I typically pay at a Mexican bakery but I still managed to pay with the cash I had in hand. I will stop by one more time and give them another chance, when you make a late night trip close to closing you get slim pickin's and will come at a more reasonable time.
