Not quite agvelemona soup but Mr. Picky finished it off, not bad.
    Ruth K.

Don't be put off, give it a try! My first thought pulling up was that the front door was sort of cute. However, just be prepared when you walk in to see that it's a little ratty and unprepossessing and menus are definitely a problem because there are only two of them and they were all patched up. Mr. Picky wanted to turn around and walk out, but I was so desperate for Greek food that I was willing to give it a try, particularly when I heard that they pretty much make everything from scratch here. So we stayed to give it a try. The Soutzoukakia was amazing, well-seasoned and the garlic sauce as a dip was great with my bites. The rice on the plate was very flavorful, a really good surprise, and the vegetables were all clearly fresh. We ordered a salad to start and the lettuce was fresh and still crunchy, so somebody in the kitchen definitely cared about what they were sending out. The restaurant is not in our area and, therefore, I doubt we'll go back, but if you live in that region then you might want to give them a shot and see how your meal goes.

Saturday night and this place is empty. We were it for the longest time. Only one guy repping the front of house and he was working the back too. Still with just one table initially, it seemed adequate. Kinda made for a long wait for the check though. Food is hit or miss. My gyro platter was great, lots of meat and it came with a drink and dessert. A bargain. The Greek pizza was a miss, tiny and not all that Greek. Greek coffee was intense but delicious. Salads were big. They're a bakery so pastries are must haves. Just plan to spend some time if they "get busy".

    Chocolate Decadence Cake

I can't believe I posted my first review of Euro Bakery 7 years ago! Since then, there are new owners and new bakery items. With the cost of ingredients rising, their prices rose as well. I ordered a chocolate decadence cake and it was $50, but seemed smaller than what it used to be. It was a two-layer cake, but I could've sworn it used to be 3 layers back in the day. The cake was a big hit this weekend though! I didn't have a chance to try their food this time around, but there are still a lot of items from the original owners that I saw on the menu.

    Lemony Chicken & Orzo Soup

We ordered the Lemony Chicken & Orzo Soup which I have had many times from Greek restaurants and in Greece. This one has little to no lemon and limited amount of Orzo. It was bland with a lot of herbs with tough chicken. I added fresh lemon to try and add more of the flavor at home.

Found this place by doing a search on Yelp because I didn't know the area. It had a 4.5 rating, so I went with it, even though it's a 15-minute drive from my hotel. The atmosphere is friendly in an odd setup, but friendly service is way more important! The food would determine everything. The Chicken Panini was excellent! When I was done eating, I was ready for more. The fries were also very good. There were only 15 fries (I counted), but one of them was really big, so let's go with 15.5. I also don't mind the 15.5 fries because the prices here are excellent. Highly recommended!

    Grilled chicken panini pita

I have to say that their food is good (at least from the pita I tried), but the service is really lacking. It's like a small mom & pop shop with 1 person working the front as well as serving, and 2 people in the back cooking. It would be so beneficial if they could have 1 additional person because it took us a long time to get our drink order in, and then to order actual food. The man in front was caught up ringing up other to-go orders and that's why he couldn't really tend to anyone else at the tables. I got the grilled chicken panini pita which was cooked well and the meat had great flavor. It came with a couple pita chips and tzaziki sauce. It's a bit pricey for what it is. $10 for the pita and 2 pieces of chips where as most places give you some fries or a small salad in addition. I'm not sure if I'll be coming back even though the food was a solid 4.5 stars.

I'm supposed to be calorie counting but I couldn't resist lol. I wanted something sweet and as I'm driving down Louetta what do I see?...Euro Bakery :-) I ordered a slice of German Chocolate Cake, almond cookie and another pastry. Sooooo delicious! Will be back on my cheat day! :-)

Low-key Mediterranean lunch spot offering a variety of plates from dolmades to Atlantic salmon. The price point is decent. Some plates are more expensive than others. I would be open to trying the grilled chicken pita panini.. after seeing the photos on Yelp. My lunch was good though. No complaints. Get the fries!

I have wanted to visit Euro Bakery since the original owners were there, but just never made it. We got to go thid weekend and desserts looked beautiful. We dined in and were surprized that lunch specials are offered everyday, all day, although not much price difference in regular menu. We each had a Gyro and it came with a little container of Tzatziki and Pita Chips, but the actual Gyro was sadly lacking the pizzazz of a gteat Gyro. We ordered a slice of the Greek Custard Dessert and they said they had one slice left. Well, we ordered it. I told the young owner's son that it had sat in syrup all day and was very soggy. I suggested they wait until serving or at least 15 minutes before adding syrup, because the Fillo was a soggy, chewy mess. As we were leaving, a new tray was put in the showcase. I was so disappointed because at $6, you expect at least a fairly decent dessert. I know there are new Pakistani owners and would love to see a good Pakistani restaurant, while keeping the lovely cakes they currently serve. Very nice staff and very attentive staff.

My husband is from India (Gujarat) so we eat authentic Indian food on a regular basis and we found the food here to be a different flavor than what we're used to, probably because it's more Pakistani than Indian in terms of flavor. Both of the curries we had were more sweet than what we're used to, but they weren't bad. Just didn't satisfy our cravings! My husband ordered the Paani Puri as it's his all-time favorite dish and they prepared it here much differently than what he's used to. He really wasn't a fan. Their Masala Fries (an appetizer), however, were absolutely incredible! I haven't had fries like this before and the crunch fries paired with the assorted sauce combination was so delicious. If you're looking for Indian food and are searching for a specific flavor palette, I might recommend trying elsewhere because your tastebuds might not be fully satisfied here. Otherwise, give this place a try as they have a variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options to choose from!

Friendly service, a rotating menu, affordable prices (got two meals for $12), operating hours that you just kind of need to check before you go, and most importantly, hot, tasty, messy food. The doubles were the reason I came, and I was lucky to pick some up on a Saturday evening. The pepper sauce is perfect, and they have a great chutney on top. If you're new to Trini street food, doubles are a popular small dish that you'll find in most towns across the island nation, commonly eaten for breakfast. Essentially it's chickpeas in a curry-like sauce served on two bara (which function like a tortilla). It's delicious and unlike most familiar flavor profiles, and it's definitely worth trying here because these folks knock it out of the park. The mushroom burger came out hot - almost too hot to hold. The patty was cooked well-done, which is worth noting if you prefer a medium cook on your burger. The mushrooms, onions, and sauce got everywhere - it was glorious. Can't wait to go back and try the loaded fries, shrimp fritters, and more of their authentic Trini dishes!

One order has 3 sliders with mini beef patties topped with cheese, grilled onions, and jalapeños - all in all super delicious! The loaded fries were pretty good too but I will say that the cheese sauce was slightly lacking in flavor. The spicy chicken sandwich was nice and crispy but the coleslaw was a bit too sweet for my liking. The chicken itself was a little dry inside so I think some kind of sauce would be a great addition! Make sure you check them out on instagram to see menu updates before you go. Their prices are so reasonable and it's nice to have more halal options in North Houston!

I picked a lamb curry with a iced tea, chicken wings and garlic Naan. If you are getting a to go order, there is a menu board of select dishes by the register, but the prices are $3 more. Lamb curry - I chose this protein over goat since most times it does not have bones and I didn't wanna fight with bones during a lunch meeting but it had bones anyway. The curry was the most disappointing part because it was really just an oily broth. I've never seen a curry this oily before.
