A Dive Bar that is NOT ! This is a biker bar with class. Very clean, very nice interior, lots of parking and special parking for bikes. The food is the best, no kidding. Nice menu, full Oregon Gaming, outside seating, clean restrooms. Bring the whole family because the prices are very resonable. Daily specials, and unique menu items. Very friendly staff. So for the people who say that this is really good food, you guys are crazy. This is my second attempt at eating here and I probably will not be back again. It seems like a very cool little bar for going drinking but not so much for food don't eat here. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and it was literally a bowling alley chicken strip thrown onto a bun. It was supposed to be a ranch chicken sandwich and the ranch was so watery that it literally dripped water onto my plate. Stopped in today for a late breakfast with a group of 1/2 dozen Bikers. Never been here before or even in Mulino which is a tiny little burb that isn't even on my map. Nice, big place. Long bar with a LOT of taps. Plenty of seating in the restaurant area. Background music playing but thankfully not loud enough to be annoying or inhibit conversation. Wait staff was great! Four girls taking care of us. VERY attentive and cheerful. Not to mention cute as can be. I had ham steak over easy and a short stack. The ham was big and thick. Very tasty. Bottomless cup of coffee. $20 including a generous gratuity. Plenty of parking and right on the main drag (213) through town. We stopped in here because they boast that they have "the best Bloody Marys" and "the best clam chowder". We ordered both but couldn't agree that either was anywhere near "the best" in the area. We ordered the clam chowder, side salads, a Philly dip, and a BLT, along with the blood Marys. The sandwiches were very good! The side salads were the typically salad mix but good too. The clam chowder was served lukewarm and looked like it had sat on the counter for awhile before being brought to our table. The bloody marys were average bar mix. This a very much a local bar food type diner. Besides the almost cold clam chowder the food alone was pretty good. However, the service is very slow. That probably contributed to the disappointing chowder. There weren't many other people in the place on the night we visited so it wasn't due to being busy. What we couldn't get past, while eating, is that the place was swarming with flies. We had flies landing on us, our food, our drinks, our table... just everywhere! We spent more time shooing the flies away than eating. We finally left about 1/3 of our meals and asked for the bill so we could leave. I'm not sure if their garbage is too close to the main doors or if there was some other issue that day but I can't sit and eat in a restaurant/bar swarmed by flies. Stopped by on a Friday. Little busy but good service. We tried the clam chowder and split an order of fish and chips. This place is kind of a road house drinker's bar...but in a good way. The food, both the fish and chips and the chowder was very good. Better than some you might find on the coast. Very, very good Bloody Mary, had two, not something I usually do...and I wasn't driving. Wait staff was friendly, other patrons were friendly. Like I said kind of a country road house bit of a drinker's bar but with good drinks (at least the Bloody Mary was) and good food. Between Mulino and Molalla or Colton stop by...even worth a bit of a trip. Very, very pleasant surprise. I know we will be stopping in again. read more

I have been to the Horseshoe Bar and Grill numerous times now. The food here decent. They have a good Chicken Fried Steak, Hamburger, Nachos, Fish and Chips, and a great deal on Tacos on Thursday nights. They advertise a great Bloody Mary, and it doesn't disappoint! However, it's the service here that's really suffering! I think this is a result of poor management. The servers here are very friendly. When you come in you generally get your drinks and food ordered in a timely manner. But there have been times when the food has taken over an hour to get. The biggest issue is after you get your food the servers seem to disappear. There's never a check back to see if you want another drink or just trying to get the check. I wonder how much revenue on alcohol is being lost because no one checks back. To be fair, it's not like they're standing around. They're busy! Clearly this place is understaffed. I think my wife and I are going to be taking a break from the Horseshoe for a while. Hopefully management will get their act together and fix the staffing and wait times. I want to give this place a higher score. If we come back here in the future and the staffing has been fixed, I would be happy to update my review. read more

The waitress was very friendly and the food was good. My husband said the clam chowder had a lot of clams in it, was thick and was some of the best he's had. The only issue was it took 40+ minutes to get a club sandwich and a cheeseburger. It seemed like they could be understaffed when we were there. Long story short I went to go in to get another drink as my server never came back except to see if I wanted to order food which I replied I'm going to wait a bit. As I went to get my drink at the bar I also ordered my food to go. It was going to be a little wait which is fine. They weren't busy from what I could see. Went to get one last drink and another person helped me and she saw my order in the system and I said can you make sure it's to go? She said yes I will. It came out on a plate (3rd person that's served me) which was annoying. They brought it out promptly. We are regular customers at the Horseshoe Bar and Grill and we tip well. We eat there at least twice a week. This is the second time this has happened. When we arrived tonight it took 20 min just to order our drink. There were 3 tables where patrons ate, left, and new patrons came in. We were there well before the 3 tables were occupied by new customers. The new people ordered their dinner, ate and left and we still hadn't gotten even our salads. We were there 45 min and never received anything. I got up and told the server to cancel our meal and that we were leaving because we hadn't been served and the second group of people that came in well after us were finished eating and ready to cash out. She said our order just came up but after waiting close to an hour we lost our appetite all together. There wasn't even a sorry, just an OK. All she said is that our order could be served to someone else. This is not good customer service and is actually unacceptable. They either need more servers or train the ones there to actually serve ALL the customers. It may be awhile before we go back. read more

Been patronizing this establishment for 27 years. The current owner has made great upgrades and physical improvements............just done a great job. But the service just gets worse and worse. After my 3rd bad service in less than 30 days, I'm done. 96 minutes and no food served. Only 50% full. 3 other tables (arriving after us) done, paid and left. Servers don't have a clue.
