Stopped by on a Sunday for a quick drink, not knowing they had a full menu and ended up staying for an awesome dinner! Bonus it was happy hour on Sunday 2-6! We got the house burger for $8 and the chicken strip basket, which was also $8 unbelievable prices for the fantastic food! The chicken strips weren't your basic frozen chicken strips either..They were huge hand, breaded chicken strips...highly recommend this place for dinner and drinks! We stopped in after checking out the First City Celebration. Great place to just sit down, relax, and have a drink and bite to eat. Several TVs with subtitles on to watch sports. Lots of seating including booths. Bartender missed us when we sat down and served several customers after us, so we finally got his attention and put in our order for a beer and poutine. Poutine was delicious, fresh, and hot. Loved the seasoned fries. Bartender checked up on us several times after that. The bat is over 100 years old and there are pictures on the wall showing some of the history. Definitely go check it out. read more

Nice community bar with some interesting food options - I can't wait to try their house made egg rolls with unexpected fillings like turkey and pesto. I enjoyed the open air breeze coming through with the garage door up. We were visiting during First City Festival and they were able to do food and drinks to go as long as you had the correct wrist band. We sat at the beautiful bar and ate in. Split a poutine with my spouse and it was pretty good and ample portioned. Service was so-so, but I acknowledge it was a busy day and may not be representative and it wasn't as bad as some of the more negative reviews would suggest. I will come again. read more

This bar is the "dive bar" in downtown OC, I guess. 10 years ago every bar was a dive bar but OC has definitely changed since then. The pool tables were playing much better than when we went up and played the front room tables at Midway Bar. The drinks and food are what you'd expect from a bar. This isn't Portland; food doesn't have to be 5-star. Clientele were what you'd expect. As a woman, I'm comfortable with the people here on a Tuesday night. read more

My husband and I went in and had some happy hour food, it was decent. He had an Old Fashioned. I asked for the Old Fashioned listed on the cocktail menu (12-00) for our bill and it was 20.00!!! He said well I keep asking you if you wanted the barrel aged.. and I said I kept saying the one listed on the menu!! Then he said oh well my bad sorry?! I had a couple well drinks and I added some energy to a couple. He charged me 2.50 EXTRA for well happy hour due to the energy but my friend who was with me was not charged the same for the energy. She was charged far less. All in all super shady and trying to gouge patrons for pricing. Since I can't respond apparently to the response I will say that yes we were there for pool for over 6 hours and for us to have 6 "happy hour" drinks in 6 1/2 hours (as they wanted to point out) and 1 Old Fashioned that was supposed to be off the cocktail menu and 2 happy hour food items I would refuse that 83.00 is not the industry standard. Hey if I'm wrong then im wring. In the fire i would recommend if the bartender isn't aware of want the menu item is as far as a drink to offer a menu and ask is this the one you are referring too. If you want to be harassed and mistreated then come here. No sooner walk in the door and we are yelled at and cussed out because of my toddler nephew. The fact that he cannot leave my mother's side without screaming is why he accompanied her in the establishment unbeknownst to her he wasn't allowed. However there was a child in a frilly outfit skipping around the bar towards the pool tables. The woman cussed my mom out of the bar as a police officer walked in and had no issues with us. Have some class and at least say something nicely at least the first time. This place should not exist if you're not going to be friendly to the public. What a crass nasty woman I hope you learn how to treat people nicer because what a joke of a business. Judging by the other reviews maybe you should reconsider serving the public and go back to whatever grouchy place you came from lady. Lol read more

I love this place. It's downtown on Main St. It's a dive bar. This strip used to have quite a few dives but this seems to be the last. They have a cheap menu and good help. Yeah, you may have to wait but that's because the bartenders are the cooks sometimes. Oh my gosh they make the BEST homemade cheese sauce in their nachos. Julie is the BEST, hands down. When you're looking at the menu and someone outside says "oh man the food is really good here" don't trust them if you're standing in front of this place. Service sucked never asked how our terrible food was. "Philly cheese steak" AKA deli meat with kraft Swiss cheese peppers and onion on a soggy hoagie roll. The monster burger with a freaking kraft single as "American cheese" well cooked egg, might as well have been beef jerky for the burger patty itself and when you're pouring drinks for a couple don't make one significantly stronger than the other. After sitting for 15 minutes after we finished eating and looking at the bartender and her asking "do you need something" a check would have been nice but customer service would have been better though. read more

This place is really bad. The vibe was dead and very dark. No body was having fun. The service is even worse. We went into their to use the bathroom and the woman said only paying customers okay. Then my friend said okay I'll have a beer. I need to see all your ID's and then we tell her oh no we are not drinking. She goes I already asked. Needless to say there was a sign outside that said minors allowed. My friend drank her beer and left. From past reviews it sounds like it is the same woman that everyone has problems with. This bar is our go to bar, we go here every weekend and sometimes on the weekdays. Their bartenders are AMAZING and so sweet. I am reading some of these other reviews and can tell people are just spewing words that are false. The bartenders know us all by name, always check in on us, and hold conversations. They have a wide selection of lotto machines compared to other bars, they have nice big pool tables and even an upstairs "loft" area to just chill. The food for a BAR is really good, and they have a wide selection to choose from. read more

Is there any way I can rate this place a zero? It clearly shows they are open until 2 :00am. Thus the only reason I went there on 3-12-19. I was kicked out at 11:45pm because the bartender told me there were not enough people there to stay open. I asked for the manager or owners name so I could explain my dissatisfaction with the fact they closed 2 hours and 15 minutes early. The bartender would not give me her name or the owner number so I could contact then. So I am here telling anyone who cares not to go here. There are many others places to enjoy a refreshment within Oregon City. Avoid this place. Waiting for the owner to call me, because I left my name and number. Dough they will call. Stopped here during the street fair in OC. Ordered a Ruben. It came with a meat that looked and tasted like ham. When I asked the waitress what kind of meat it was she told me corned beef, with a tonne that implied it was a stupid question. Normally I would agree that asking what kind of meat on a Ruben is a silly question. However one look at the meat and anyone could see it wasn't corned beef. I was just driving through Oregon City on my way home and decided to stop in for lunch and a drink. I had never been here but it was pretty busy and had heard of the place My first impression was that it was just a little hole I the wall for locals but when I walked I'm I was surprised by the size of the place and the amount of pool tables. I ordered a drink from a nice blonde hair girl that was pleasant to talk to and made a great drink then looked at the menu. There was a good selection of food more than your average bar but I settled for a bacon cheese burger which was really good. I ordered a drink and had small talk with the bartender who was really nice. Its always nice when they can remember not only what you are drinking but also your name. I'll definitely be back with my friends. I'm curious to see what this place is like on a Friday night. read more

The service was terrible, prices were outrageous, food terrible. Nachos were WAY OVER PRICED . They came on a sandwich plate which for eight dollars they lacked all the ingredients and cheap tortilla chips. Lets talk about the ham and cheese sandwich. Thin slice of ham. That was probably a good thing though as the ham was so salty it was like eating a spilled salt shaker on your food. the other ordered sandwich was no better. Severs hmmmmm we had three.
