We enjoyed our visit very much! The tasting room is open and airy with plenty of room for a large group. Outside, are picnic tables and a great view of the house and vineyard so you can buy a bottle and visit. Please give me some thumbs-up if you like my reviews! The whites and ports are the best. They do have a couple of good ones, my favorite is Kirsche, it smells of buttery whipped cream, and cherry crumble on the nose. The finish is long, as it should be and the brandy helps it stay in the back. This would be terrific over any Thanksgiving dessert or with vanilla Blue Bell or homemade ice cream. There are a couple recommendations I could make to the proprietors, first, turn the local country radio station way down. The server was great at telling their story and educating us about their wines but we had to literally shout back and forth over popular, commercial music. It was obnoxiously loud. Next, the bar was beautiful, but about 18 inches too tall. The server's shoulders, neck and head were visible as we visited, but it was awkward. Also, their wines aren't displayed. As we tasted, it was easy to lose track of what was set before us in the glass without the visual points of reference. Props to the server's friendliness and personality. Absolutely recommend this vineyard to anyone who loves good ambiance, wine and wonderful customer service! The family operated vineyard is so attentive and gives lots of samples and really pays attention to detail! I attended the Wichita Falls Business After Hours on December 17, 2019, at the Horseshoe Bend Cellars Vineyard and Winery. I must say that I was quite impressed with the spectacular evening view on the second floor and the open concept floor plans to allow for cozy seating and open space, an ideal combination for large parties, business meetings, and events. The service was quite phenomenally friendly and helpful in giving us a small tour before the night's event. While I was the designated driver for the friends and colleagues that came with me, I will say that I'm looking forward to my next visit to try their wide assortment of wines. read more

Best wines in Texas and we've visited lots of wineries. We like full-bodied reds and they have quite a variety. I believe it's because Alton barrel-ages it longer than most winemakers will. He's after quality rather than quick profit. If you like semi-sweets they have those too. My wife and I had a wonderful visit with Lana and Alton while tasting wine. They made it a very enjoyable experience. We loved everything we tried, including some barrel tastings! Run and get your 2003, yes 2003 Anniversary Cabernet before its all gone. 2.5yrs oak barrel aged... Amazing! read more

The selection of regular wine was not as broad as a supermarket, but their variety of wine chocolate and mulling spices was a pleasant surprise to us. Went to horseshoe Bend winery today. It was an absolutely delightful experience. Visited with the owner and his lovely daughter and had several tastings and they were all delicious. I like drier ones so they helped me select the right ones. They have a balcony where you can watch turkey and other wildlife and the sunset. It's not too far outside of Wichita Falls. They have wine and cheese pairings that are awesome! I also splurged on a dark chocolate/port wine sauce that I'm afraid might become addictive. Highly recommend it! read more

Wichita Falls Vineyards & Winery was so helpful and explained the wines so well, it is so nice to know I have another GREAT place to get some FANTISTIC wines.
