The tables were filled with people having fun and roulette was the favorite of the night. For a ravens game night, it was the perfect atmosphere, filled with great music and good vibes. The workers were friendly and it was seriously the cleanest casino I have ever been to! Actually spotless. We were really disappointed with our experience. We stopped at the bar on a Saturday night and asked for a glass of red wine, only to be told they were completely out. We then asked if they had any white wine, and they were out of that as well. The only wine they had available was sweet wine. Honestly, we were very surprised and disappointed. For a casino on a Saturday night, you would expect the bar to have a decent selection of basic wines available. I've been a patron of this casino for approximately 10 years, though I'm not a gambler. I used this as a first date spot for ages, can't beat the security, lol. There are a lot of bars and restaurants at this casino, so it's useful and interesting even if gambling isn't your thing. Recently I visited the Horseshoe for a concert. This was a new experience for me, but the employee checking IDs directed me to the room where the concert was to be. I had an extremely upsetting and unprofessional experience at Horseshoe Casino Baltimore due to inconsistent ID enforcement and disrespectful conduct by security and management. Earlier in the evening, my government-issued ID did not scan because of a small ink stain. A supervisor and manager manually verified my ID, confirmed it was valid, and allowed me entry. I spent about two hours inside the casino without issue. After briefly leaving to walk family members to their ride, I returned approximately 20 minutes later and attempted to re-enter. This time, different security staff stopped me. Despite calmly explaining that my ID had already been verified by management earlier that same evening, staff refused to examine or verify my ID at all. Before any review took place, I was described over internal radio communication as attempting to enter "without a valid ID," which immediately created a presumption of wrongdoing. A manager then denied my entry without ever inspecting my ID and stated that she would "side with her associates no matter what," regardless of the circumstances. As the situation escalated, the interaction became openly disrespectful. When I questioned the decision, I was met with dismissive and demeaning remarks, including a manager telling me, "I make more money than you," rather than addressing the issue professionally. I was ultimately ordered to leave without any meaningful explanation or review of my identification. While I understand that casinos have the right to enforce ID policies, the inconsistency, refusal to verify a valid ID, and insulting manner in which I was spoken to were unacceptable -- especially considering I had just been inside and spent money on the gaming floor less than 30 minutes earlier. Parking Nightmare at Horseshoe Casino / Topgolf Baltimore Be warned: the shared parking garage between Horseshoe Casino and Topgolf can be a trap if you forget to validate your ticket. Topgolf offers free parking only if you validate inside. I didn't realize this and got stuck at the exit gate. I called the number posted, and the attendant told me I'd have to pay $30. I explained that Topgolf parking is supposed to be free, and asked if I could go back to validate. She refused, saying she could get in trouble for letting me through. With five cars behind me and no cash on hand, I was stuck. Then a woman in a truck who turned out to be an employee offered to help if I gave her $10 in cash. I paid her, and she let me out. It didn't feel like an official solution. Honestly, it felt almost like a scam. Whether it was or not, it was shady and uncomfortable. Tip: Validate your parking ticket at Topgolf before leaving. This is the first casino I took my wife to as we had time to kill after our Greyhound bus dropped us off next door and when the gates opened at M&T at the Ravens vs.Seahawks game. We were hoping to get breakfast here but sadly none of the food places open until lunch time. My review may be slightly biased as I was born and raised in Las Vegas in the land of casinos. Honestly, the interior of the casino is lovely and well-maintained (check out the gorgeous chandeliers in the photos). However, the immediate exterior (e.g., parking garage, elevators to get inside) is pretty poorly maintained with trash on the floors and interesting smells and sights that do not necessarily make you excited to go inside. The food and drink options aren't amazing but they aren't awful - they have some good options but a lot of the times the places aren't open so it defeats the purpose. I did like the pizza place which I've seen has been consistently open! My partner really likes roulette, and for some reason only a few tables were open (many were closed). We eventually got to play and it was great, but I wonder if the casino is understaffed or something else is going on. Pros and cons to coming here - give it a shot and see what you think! read more

I went with my mom my best friend & her mom . when we first got there my best friend ID was not scanning in the system due to an ink pin busting & being on the corner of her id (not covering anything to hid her identity), a man working front desk(at the main entrance)ran her id numbers through the computer & her picture popped so he let us enter.. then told her if she would would to ever like tocome back tell them at the entrance what he had told us... then we went into the casino to enjoy our night.... later on that evening we wanted to stay but we walked our moms out the front entrance over to royal farms to get inside an uber home ...we come back over to the casino and enter the same way only this time it was different staff at the front desk.. After years and years Horseshoe never changed for the better. But rather for the worse. Upon entering the garage and getting out of the car. You smell a very strong ammonia smell which is from the heavy amount of human urine in the garage. This is the only casino I know where they never POWER-WASH the garage with REAL SOAP. There is very heavy amounts of grime on the concrete as well as the walls which are starting to show clear as day. **SEE PICS**. After bypassing people asking you for change in the garage as soon as you get out your car since there is almost no VISIBLE security whatsoever in the garage. You are then required to go thru security inside to enter the casino. There's a metal detector also. **SEE PICS** Not being used currently though. Upon getting to the security podium. No one says "Welcome or anything nice" But rather they say "remove your mask" for their facial recognition system to scan you. After entering the casino. It becomes a very depressing environment. You see a lot of people using the ATM's to get more money out. Not that many people cashing tickets really for good amounts of money but rather for mostly under the 20 mark. No machines playing bonuses or anything. Mostly all the food places are closed down. There are a few that still exist but are usually only open at night for about four hours which is very sad since there's really nowhere decent to eat at. The drink people never smile and when you tip them they don't even say thank you. Which is truly ridiculous and shows a complete lack of even a decent amount of class even. The executive staff here as well as player rewards is the complete worst. They're very defensive when asking about comps. I had asked them to do a tier match which usually Atlantic City does every year for me since it's a Caesar's property. Also they have it clearly advertised here as well. Complete waste of time. The only reason I gave it one star is that zero stars was not an option. This place is an absolute sh#thole! We went there for the Army-Navy game and to have dinner at Gordon Ramsay afterwards. They gouge you for $100 to park there, even if you were going to the restaurant. The entire casino and surrounding area is a cesspool of ne'er-do-wells and street urchins, with many of them congregating at the entrance demanding money. The casino was filthy and occupied with a clientele that you definitely wanted to avoid. The Gordon Ramsay dinner was mediocre at best, with everyone complaining that their meal was overly salty and tasteless. The final straw was when we went to leave and the parking gate was not working, and no one was available to answer the call button or come to our assistance. The line was backed up with 10-15 cars trying to get out, and no one came to our assistance. Finally, a patron who had a member card was able to open the gate so we could get out. Never again!!! The parking lot smells of urine, when you go inside to take an elevator to the casino, the urine is so intense (on carpet) it gags you. This has got to be my LEAST favorite casino in the DMV area! Overall this place just didn't capture my interest. I came here two weekends ago on a Saturday evening with a friend. Venue - Arriving at the Uber drop off location, the area seemed a bit sketchy, behind the casino or next to some type of dark area construction. Once we stepped inside, the casino is visually pretty! We entered in the lower level, and I instantly noticed how dead the casino was. We eventually ventured upstairs where more people were gambling, but still rather shockingly empty for a Saturday night! (tip: go to Maryland Live! or MGM, it's fairly busy and fun there on weekends) Total Rewards - I went to get my players card at the total rewards desk. There were only a few people in front of me and it took A LONG TIME. There was only ONE staff member handling regular players, but three staff members for higher tier players! The other staff members refused to take us even when their lines were empty. Total Rewards was offering a "tier status match"--basically if you have a high tier status as certain local casinos, they would match it to their "Diamond" status. Sounds great, right?! Well, I got my new players card and a Diamond player's parking pass instantly. HOWEVER, it's been over a week and my account hasn't been updated to the new tier status!! So basically I don't get to access any of the Diamond perks yet. I have never been to a casino that took so long to update their player's accounts. We went there for Steak, which was amazing. I don't gamble, so I can't really speak to the casino itself. It's less noisy then the ones I've been too in Vegas, though. And much cleaner. The infrastructure (parking garage, elevators, etc) need some attending, which is shocking given how new this structure is. If you like the dice and cards and all that, knock yourself out. The design and style are bright and loud, but not overdone and tawdry. I think I'd probably dig the slots and tables here, if that was my scene. read more
