My organization, Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine held their annual Celebration of Excellence Dinner to celebrate the women professors who were recently promoted to associate. Everything was amazing. Ashley Murphy our contact for the club, was great with assisting setting everything up for us. We had no issues with parking, unlike last year, due to multiple events being held that evening, everyone loved the food, and the onsite Coordinator Antoine was a great help. I know we had a few guests who didn't RSVP and weren't on the official list I gave you, but Antoine was flexible and was able to fit them in. And the view of the harbor was AMAZING!!!!! read more

A group of friends got together with a member of the Club for dinner. Some ordered steaks, two ordered the "Perfect Pair" aka Surf and Turf, and yours truly ordered a Caesar salad and a Bison Burger. Service was attentive and impeccable. Salad and burger hit the spot. Friends all enjoyed their meals as well and thought prices were very fair once our host mentioned what was owed. I was there with family for a B'not Mitzvah celebration many years ago. The city views are incredible and atmosphere is as well. For professionals, the Club is the scene for those wanting to be seen. I'm no longer in a position to join a facility as this, but those who do won't go wrong. read more

Overall, I would say I was pleased with my food, but my cousin ordered some oysters, and there was a long strain of hair on, of course, the one I picked up to eat. I immediately called over the waiter to make him aware, and he replaced it, but I thought that was pretty disgusting. Especially for this to be a club, and you can only get in with a member and have to be "dressed" a certain way. I'm not sure if the protocol was adjusted due to the Janet concert. Instead fact, we were attending, too. I normally like to make positive reviews, and overall, this is still a positive review. I would just say I was skeptical the rest of the night about everything I ate because I checked everything I ate moving forward. Only when my main course came out and I wanted to use me sauce there was a piece of hair in that as well. I'm sure if I was not hungry, I probably wouldn't have eaten anything that night. I was disappointed by my first experience by having or seeing so much hair in my food or condiments. Would I go back? Maybe. Obviously it's a club and I do not live in the area so it is not somewhere I would go often but I did enjoy my entrée. So, I would be willing to give them an opportunity to redeem themselves without hair in my food. Dessert definitely was excellent and different. read more

This club is one of the best in Baltimore. From the moment you enter the building until the last second in it you will be served with the best customer service, upscale one. Every detail about the decoration is though off. The cocktails and drink selection is amazing. The food is very tasty and the staff is great. You will be treated with respect, care and love. It's the views for me!! I attended an alumni event here a few days ago! GO TERPS!! It was my first time hearing about this venue and I'm so glad I got to experience it. I got tons of IG worthy pics! 16th floor views!!! The event offered passed hor'oeuvres, a pasta station, as well as desserts, unlimited beer, wine and coffee! The food was tasty! I was excited about my invitation to a Mother's Day brunch at The Center Club. I was invited last year, but spent the weekend in bed ill, so I was ecstatic when I was invited again this year. Once invited, I couldn't stop thinking about what I would experience at this member's only club overlooking the Baltimore skyline. Would I get crabcakes, omelets, mimosas, an extensive assortment of sweet treats? Heck yeah, I would! And I did! It was everything I imagined. And more! Lobster!! Oh, heck yeah! I was shocked to be so disappointed by the dinner experience at Center Club. We attended an event that included a cocktail hour, speakers, and dinner. From the beginning, the service was quite awkward... During the speakers, several servers walked DIRECTLY in front of the speaker at the podium multiple times, blocking the view of half the room and disrupting the program. No basic common sense or courtesy. They served the vegetarian guest at our table a plate of steak. She politely reminded the server, who took the plate away... only for the next server to plop another plate with meat in front of her. The guests seated at our table and the one next to us were served in an uncoordinated way, with half of the meals cold by the time everyone was served and we could begin. When it came time for dessert (set menu), they apparently did not plan properly and ran out of certain items. They started substituting on some plates and leaving off items on others, so only about half of our group actually received a plate with the main dessert. The dessert we did try reminded me of a grocery store cookie -- tasted a little old or stale. At the coffee and tea service, our table was skipped entirely! There were still speeches ongoing, so there was no polite way to notify anyone without being disruptive. By this point, the servers were MIA -- not even a water refill. Not to mention the venue is in a questionable area, especially after dark. When we walked outside to end the evening, several people were sitting on the steps outside, smoking and shouting, others half-dressed across the street. Our evening was not "5-star" by any standard. I have seen more consistent and professional service at random pizza restaurants in the city. read more

We can here to sample our wedding reception entrees. The visit and experience was nothing short of amazing. The Center Club offers amazing food, first class service and an amazing view. I was invited to an event at The Center Club and it was very nice. The event was an awards reception and it had a open bar, passed hors d'oeuvre and a small buffet. Although I only had water, there was a really pretty signature drink offered. It looked like a coconut rum something with a flower. They had crab balls which were all crab and a savory pastry of sorts. The buffet offering looked like beef so I did not partake. The party I was with invited us to dinner downstairs after and it was delicious. Our waiter Juan and the team was attentive and personable. I ordered a salad, the crab cake (of course) and it came with little potatoes and perfectly cooked vegetables. We also tried the pear ginger sorbet. No complaints. Oh I forgot to mention the view...10 stars. I'm pretty sure it's very expensive to me a member, the ticket and the dinner alone was $$$$ but it was a nice experience. Great food,great ambience,great drinks,great service. This is an exclusive club that definitely treats all their members with service above & beyond what anyone can imagine. From the moment you walk in you get treated like royalty. The staff is very cheerful,helpful,& friendly at all times. The food was amazing: -The crab soup was flavorful & delicious. -The crab Caesar salad was to die for & is made from scratch right in front of you. -The salmon on top of grits was one of the best dishes I've ever had.(Definitely order this as your entree if you come here) I really enjoyed coming here with my colleague and will be returning here next time I come to the Baltimore area. read more

I wasn't sure what category to list the Center Club as since it is a restaurant and bar but also a private club (from what I understand). My friends had their rehearsal dinner at the Center Club; after looking at multiple venues, they chose the Center Club, I would imagine at least partially because of the great views. I can't remember which floor the club is on, but you have a great view of Baltimore. They reserved a private room which is to your right as you walk into the club - the private room comfortably held approximately 50 people (with room for mingling around the small bar area). They arranged for light passed appetizers - I was a little late (I'm directionally challenged), so I didn't have any appetizers. Dinner was good - we started with a tomato soup (nice and hearty given the cold weather), I had salmon as my entree (the other choice was chicken) and then we were served apple pie with ice cream. The service and facilities of the club were great - they had a nice space and slide projector stuff for the slide show and a lectern (I guess you would call it that) set up for speeches. There was also a coat check which was super speedy. All of the staff were really great and personable. I didn't have an opportunity to check out the rest of the club, but it looked great. There's a spiral staircase leading to the floor below and also a large bar against one of the windows. I probably won't have an opportunity to go back, but it was a great venue for a private party, and I would imagine even better as a member. read more

It amazes me how consistently detailed and thorough the Center Club and its staff can be. I can honestly say that I've never had a less than fabulous time when there. Wether just in for a quick HH drink or sitting threw a late multiple course dinner with friends the Center Club goes above and beyond expectations every time. Just as important as details and experience is the expectation of a great meal. Again the Center Club has yet to disappoint. I have visited the club at least once a quarter for three years now and can honestly say I have never had a bad meal. My guest have all raved over the food and my minor kids often enjoy seasonal or themed buffets. It's now my goal to visit more often. read more

I am a current member of the center club, and it is a very nice business club in Baltimore city. The service is always exceptional, and the food is normally very good. My wife and I enjoy stopping her for a drink before dinner and we also love attending some of their special events. Overall, this is a great membership in order to meet new people in Baltimore City and network. I always enjoy the level of service I receive from the Center Club when I have a private dining function. I am a member of the Center Club, and I love it! Wendy L. is correct that it is a private club for dining, but members also have benefits of reciprocal clubs, golf privileges and more. The views from the 15th and 16th floors of 100 Light St. building are breathtaking! The food is phenomenal, as is the staff. The Club has a number of events each month, some of which are open to non-members and guests. Many members use the Club to take clients out for lunch or meet for drinks. They also have a few family-centered events throughout the year like the Santa Brunch. The Center Club is open to non-members for private functions, and is generally more affordable than many other places in town. It's perfect for birthday parties, holiday events, weddings, conferences, charity balls, rehearsal dinners, anniversary parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, as well as seminars, business meetings and trade shows. I was here for a luncheon and I thought it was a very nice facility. The first thing I did when I got off the elevator was go to the restroom which was very nice it had a powder seating area and lots of mirrors. The tables face the harbor which was very nice. They served a three course lunch. Started with a salad and they had a very good raspberry vinaigrette. The main course was couscous, fresh broccoli, and a crab cake. All of which were delicious. For desert we were served cheesecake and coffee which I didn't eat but heard was very good as well. After word we stayed and took pictures. Centre club takes you back to the old boy club days. Great views of the city, A required dress code and traditional fine dining favorites. Membership is required to get in. This was one of the worst meals I have ever eaten in Baltimore.Dinner took over 4 hours for a table of 7. My Kobi Beef Short Ribs were served without bones or a sauce of any kind. They were nothing more than a pile of overdone pot roast The vegetables were so undercooked the a brussels sprout flew off the plate when I attempted to slice it. My starch consisted of 1 tablespoon of white rice. The Moscow Mule contained no ginger beer, which left me with a vodka and club soda. The "house made" ice cream was a selection from Ben and Jerry's that I recognized. Considering the poor service and sub par food, this meal wasn't worth 10.00 which only covered the price of my drink. read more
