A Haitian man named and Franz takes your order and a nice Haitian lady cooks your food to order. All the food available comes in the form of a large helping of stew with rice and beans (mixed together) and fried plantains. I ordered the legume stew thinking it would be vegetarian but it turned out to have oxtail in it. Vegetarians be aware. I'm an omnivore so it was fine with me. I order the pork stew for my wife and she really enjoyed it. It came with a container of red sauce Franz described as gravy and a container of hot sauce with a little cabbage in it called Pikliz. I asked what kind of peppers were in the hot sauce and Franz said, "Oh, there are multiple kinds of peppers!" It shall remain a Haitian mystery. We ate our to-go order (there is no seating in this restaurant) at a nearby park and enjoyed it. It was far too much to consume in one sitting so we have leftovers for later! This is well off the beaten path but it's really only 5 minutes south of downtown St Petersburg. Life is good when you get to try a new kind of ethnic food! Haitian!

Haitian food is here to STAY It'll rock your world, it'll make your DAY There isn't really anything more to SAY So if you come to Tampa, you come to ALEZ! YAY! What to get: Legumes, beef stew, anything he recommends What not to get: Angry at the haters, because Haters gonna Haitian! My fave restaurant in Tampa, amazing portions and value, wonderful service and ownership, and some of the best tasting food I've ever had, which made me fall in love with Haitian food! In fact we need more rapping, STAT! Barbie is so hot so we're always MATING She's usually screaming for the whole DURATION But the best food in Tampa, for your INFORMATION Is Legumes and more at Alez HAITIAN! As for the haters, obvi they're always HATING But this food deserves a standing OVATION With Alex around, you'll never suffer STARVATION Cause the best food in Tampa is Alez HAITIAN! So yes. One of the very best food experiences in FL. Perfect Haitian food. Amazing. The Beef with Legumes (Veggies) is perfection, esp because of the eggplant. But everything they make is damn good. I didn't even realize that I was in love with Haitian food until I came to Tampa. I thought I was only in love with Barbie. I thought I was going to have to get down to Miami (sort of like I get down to Kool & The Gang) to try the really amazing Caribbean and Latin food... but I found some great versions of them up here in Tampa, and this was at the very top of my list. This remains the best Haitian food I've ever had, even now that I've tried the best ones in Miami (half a dozen of them, in fact), and several in other parts of the country. We're talking about some of the most miraculous food you'll ever eat. It's not dirt cheap but it's not expensive and portions are huge. You'll be addicted as soon as you try those legumes, rife with eggplant, which are the number one dish for me. But absolutely everything they make is off the charts beautiful. It would be my first destination for food when I come back to Tampa, and not just for the perfect food but for the beautiful murals on the wall and for the wonderful service as well. He was so curious and tickled about how I found his place, but I'm so glad that I did. This is yet another example of how wonderful Yelp can be when it's done right and used right. Haitian food is "of the Gods" (as the Greeks would say) (in Greek) (OK fine I made it up) and probably my favourite from the Caribbean, and this is the ultimate Haitian food place. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Come here immediately when you are in Tampa and get the legumes and whatever else you want. You will be as thrilled as I was. In fact, it's so good that: You'll thank all Haitians for their IMMIGRATION Your neither regions will produce LIQUIDATION Which can be used for natural LUBRICATION And help you achieve food SATIATION It's the best, and that's not a false ALLEGATION Top food in Tampa, it receives my NOMINATION It makes me and Barbie practice PROCREATION We enjoy it as much as PENETRATION As much as a sub enjoys SUFFOCATION As much as Barbie oft inflicts STRANGULATION As much as a bad employee enjoys INSUBORDINATION It causes her underwear to endure SATURATION As much as J-WOWW's hotter than the SITUATION As much as our pictures threaten SANITATION And cause random acts of MASTURBATION Come straight over to ALEZ HAITIAN! I bought a large diri kole pwa rouge ak koden (rice and peas with fried turkey) and the rice was soooo dry and tasteless. The turkey was ok but it wasn't the most flavorful as it usually is. My red flag was the sauce! Before paying I held it and asked them if this is the sauce they make and they said yes- but it was just the broth from the meat they cooked. They either poured it directly into the cup or attempted to make a sauce with it and tomato paste but failed miserably. Haitian cuisine is like no other and this restaurant continues to get more terrible overtime. I've been eating here since 2015 and the food taste is currently at its worst. I wasted $14 because I could only eat like 4 bites of it- I lost my appetite for the whole day and gotta reset my taste palette. Im gonna have to either re-cook/re-vamp it or just take my L and throw it out. The last management made tolerable food to eat when you crave Haitian food but Kreyol Delight is closed or something, this new management is just terrible. I should've drove the extra mile to KD-- never am ever eating here again.

This food was good!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered fried pork and that comes with white rice (and bean sauce) or rice and peas. Also couldn't resist grabbing a flaky beef pate to go -- honestly, I might love it even more than a Jamaican patty. Washed it all down with a classic Haitian Fruit Champagne soda. The turkey was perfectly deep-fried yet still tender, and that rice? Some of the best Caribbean rice I've ever had. If you're in Tampa and craving authentic Haitian flavors, I highly recommend Bon Zanmi Establishment had a good amount of seating available and was nicely decorated. It seems they may host events here at night. The lady at the bar taking orders was helpful and very friendly. I would definitely come back if in Tampa.
