It was my husband's and I 1st time dining here and I must say, EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC! From our server, Zane (not sure thats her name, but it sounded like it. SORRY IF I GOT IT WRONG)...Anywho, for our APPETIZER: we had Kibbeh (ground beef with onions and peppers fried inside dough)...YUMMYYYYYY! ENTREE: Mix Shish - Chicken Shish (Chunks of skewered marinated chicken) and Lamb Adana (ground lamb with onion and peppers, basically a Shish kebab, but instead of Chunks, its ground on a skewer)...so flavorful, no complaints about those either. It comes with a yogurt base sauce(similar to Tzatziki- sauce for Gyros), grilled veggies, and salad. The grilled Serrano was spicy and I loved it! DRINKS: Turkish Coffee, Tea, & Beer. All have great flavors. Beer reminded me of a Stella Artois. DESSERT: Kunefe - it sort of looks like a small cake made of shredded dough, cheese, and topped with with the sugary syrup. OMG, TO DIE FOR! SERVICE: Great, our server was super nice and knowledgeable. We were greeted upon entering and our water cups remained filled. I was a bit disappointed with Turkish kitchen, especially being that I adore this type of cuisine. Service was pretty slow, almost like only a couple of servers for the entire restaurant. With that being said, everyone was extremely friendly, but it did take awhile for our drinks to be refilled and place orders. Onto the food, everything I had was really good, but I just feel like it was overpriced, especially considering the small portions. I really couldn't overlook that there are plenty of options in Tampa, Saint Pete, Tarpon Springs at a cheaper price with larger portions and this is Brandon. I will give them another shot just in case my experience was off because again, everything did taste really good, but I just didn't see a wow factor appeal that would bring me back over other Mediterranean restaurants in our area. read more

One of our favorite places to eat! Love the atmosphere, staff is friendly and the food is so good! I hate to admit it, but we eat here multiple times a month. My favorite appetizer is the baked hummus and fresh bread. Some of the dishes that I have tried (and ordered more than once) are the sea bass, chicken casserole, chicken adana, chicken shish, the rice pudding and the Turkish tea. I've also had the falafel plate. You will be welcomed with friendly faces and the service has always been good. We always end up taking home leftovers, so that should tell you there are decent size portions. You will not be disappointed! read more

Service was OK. A little slow. But food was tasty. We got 2 mixed grills for 4 of us. The variety was nice and everything tasted very good. Would have liked a little more sauce to share. But overall food was good. I did think the price was a bit high. Many similar places are the same. Saw one group come in and review menu, comment about prices and walk out. Came in for a later dinner and the place was packed! Large restaurant with variety of table and booth options and outside patio seating as well. We were able to get a both for the two of us and decided on a bunch of appetizers to share instead of entrees because they all sounded amazing. Service was fantastic and ALL our food was delicious. Love it! It's great to have such a unique Turkish experience here in Brandon. I love what they've done to this space to make it so open & welcoming. It's located on Bloomingdale Avenue next to the Olde Town Pizzaria. We visited during its soft opening. Everything is on slow mo at the moment, so please be patient and allow more time to enjoy it. Our late lunch visit was the perfect timing even though it started getting busy around 2pm. I can already foresee that they will be hiring more servers once the word gets out. They still handled it well. Ercan (Can) greeted us immediately, and was so very helpful & professional. It took us a little while to decide. Everything on the menu looks so good. There are so many hot & cold mezze on the menu. We ended up skipping the starters, and ordered 2 of the Mix Shish (beef shish & chicken shish) with a boat-shaped cheese pide. It was more than enough food for 2 people. The oven baked pide is a meal in itself. Everything was delicious! We had enough left over for dinner. The shish was tender and well-seasoned. The grilled Turkish pepper served on the side is super hot. My husband loved that. I gave him mine. Lol! You've been warned. The biggest surprise was the incredibly cheesy pide. I can't believe how much I'm craving it again. Some say it's like a Turkish pizza. It's so much better than that description. I love the thin flatbread, and you'll actually see them rolling out the dough after you order it. It is so fresh, light, and crispy. I can't wait to order more than just the cheese next time. I want to try them all. It heated up very nicely the next day. I finally tried Maras ice cream for the first time. It was better than imagined. The traditional chewy texture was there. It was super rich & milky from the goat's milk. What a cool experience! The Turkish tea was also delightful. They have many other desserts including kunefe, kazandibi, and sutlac. I went with my husband and we shared the Mix Grill, it comes with rice and salad (it's meant for two, but honestly with an appetizer, it could be enough for three people) we had the hummus to start and it was fresh and tasty, the falafel wasn't my favorite a bit dry and not too flavorful. For dessert, we tried the baklava and the kunefe both were good, but I've had better baklava before. Overall, i'm happy to have Turkish food in the area the place looks really nice and modern. EFFIN MIND BLOWN. In town for a work trip and it's also my bday. I knew I wanted a big bday meal but didn't want to feel sluggish after so Mediterranean seemed like a good choice. My gawsh the place was empty besides one outside table that seemed done eating but still enjoying each others company (table was still there after I left). I honestly dont know how this place wasn't packed with every table, maybe because it was a Tuesday? I had the ground lamb and chicken as well as haydari dip and I couldn't imagine a better birthday dinner having to be alone. My wife and I have been wanting to try this place since we love middle eastern cuisine. We started with the cigar borek which is fried phyllo dough filled with feta cheese. It was warm and good. I had the mix shish with chicken and lamb kebabs. The meat was very flavorful although a little overdone but I enjoyed it. The rice pilaf was good and it came with colorful vegetables. My wife had the falafel plate which was on top of hummus. She said it was delicious and would definitely get it again. Make sure you request the bread basket which was warm, homemade and delicious. We went soon after opening (not immediately) to try it and unfortunately it fell a little short for us. Upon arrival it took awhile for anyone to come over to our table. We then decided to start off with hot hummus, one of our favorites. Our waitress gave us a really hard time about putting the sausage on the side (I'm vegetarian) for some reason. I didn't understand the issue. It's not part of the dish & is added after. My bf eats meat, this way we both get to enjoy the dish. She finally agreed. Unfortunately when it arrived it was very dry along with the dry pieces (almost burnt) of pita that came out with it. My falafel tasted good. It was moist & fresh. My bf enjoyed his. I had an Adana lamb kebab & lamb shish - both delicious and cooked perfectly ( I like medium rare & the shish was tasty & cooked properly. It came with cacik & salads - I was very pleased. Another great restaurant near me! We loved it! We stopped at Turkish Kitchen for a brief visit after an early dinner; we were in the mood for Turkish Coffee and dessert and we did not have to go far. The restaurant is wide and open with a vibrant atmosphere and soft music playing in the background. Although the interior is inviting, we settled to sit outdoors to enjoy the pleasant evening. Our waitress was very attentive and provided us with glasses of water and menu. We immediately ordered coffees and Kunefe. After a short wait our coffees were served. They were as expected, bold and strong. At this time our waitress informed us that the Kunefe is made to order and it would take a bit longer to be served, she also told us that our coffees would be replenished. Fantastic food and service! I was interested in trying a Turkish restaurant since I loved all of the Turkish food I've had in both Germany and Turkey. It has been years, but the food from Turkish Kitchen is the most authentic to what I remember that I have found in this area. Chefs next to our table were making fresh dough for bread, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The server was also friendly and attentive, and the decor and tableware were charming. Got the hummus (very delicious), baba ganoush and saksuka. All three were amazing. I wasn't sure what to get for an entree and the server suggested Lahmacun, he was right. Two people split the mix grill, could have been split by 3 people as we had leftovers. In the mix grill the steak was unbelievable. This was the old Capitol Taco spot and it's been redecorated quite beautifully. Lots of detail & love went into the new decor. The kitchen is still open which is a bonus. The staff are very kind and attentive. Our server, Can, was amazing! He answered a lot of questions and made great suggestions. We started with housemade Baba Ganoush and warm bread. We tried several drinks, turkish hot tea, a yogurt drink and a spicy purple carrot drink. My friend ordered chicken & lamb shish and I ordered Lahmacun. Both dishes were quite tasty and we got creative and combined it all onto the Lahmacun and it was even more yummy! We made our own version of a turkish style pizza. Overall- if you are not hungry and don't want good service- this is the place for you. Food: 2.5 stars - the chicken shish/ lamb shish/ground lamb were good, comes w/rice and shredded lettuce/onions/half a spicy pepper - comes w no sauce (so a bit dry) and not very filling (we were hungry after) The pita bread didn't come until we asked our server 2 times after we had already received our food. Service: 1 star: non-existent, our server was so busy attending to her one table that she didn't really check on us, we had to flag other servers down to get lemons that we asked when she took our order and to ask for taziki sauces that apparently were supposed to come w/meal... we saw on other platters so we requested some from a different server since we couldn't get ours attention. Ambiance is nice but definitely wouldn't be coming back. Not enough protein for what the price is and for really bad service. read more

Sucuklu Pide - a fancy name for some seriously excellent, golden, oven-browned semi-flat bread with a generous amount of flavorful oil and cheese + topped with excellently seasoned beef sausage| Calf Liver, simple and done right. Nice ¾ x ¾ cuts of fresh young beef liver, quickly seared and served with thin red onion and fresh cut tomato slices and nicely seasoned potatoes - (she finished the whole plate).
