Not a great place if you're in need of real and intensive help after rehabbing... I went for one…read morenight after a residential 35 day program to the IOP program. I lasted one night. The men in the program were constantly cracking inappropriate jokes (the ages of 40-60) and the therapist had little- actually zero control over the conversation. At one point she said to the two eldest men "I'm going to separate you two" as if it was a school day, and I was dumbfounded that she had not already done that. Aside from that, we were reading off a 6-7 page "Therapy TLC" list about incredibly basic and base level psychology/therapy (the base line of cognitive core beliefs).. it took the therapist the entire 3 full hours to make it through 3 pages... we did not even finish the packet. The others in the group seemed mostly on their phones and like they were there because they were required to. Honestly felt like a babysitter was watching us for three hours. I decided after one night that I need a higher level of mental health support and someone who is capable of controlling the environment. I would not recommend this if you're serious about your recovery and especially if you're a woman.

They need immediate help. He was referred to this practice by another doctor who could not see him because he was not a drug user. When I called this morning to let the office know he would not be at his appointment because he died the assistant was rude, snippy and said I'll make that note. No sorry for your loss.

Dr. Menninger has been my psychiatrist since August of last year, when my previous doctor closed…read moreher practice. I've been very pleased with the care I've gotten from Dr. Menninger, especially in managing my medication. He was extremely helpful and concerned when I developed tardive dyskinesia (TD) from Abilify, which had been prescribed by my former doctor. It turned out I had been taking it at a high dose for quite a long time, and Dr. Menninger thought I should discontinue it. When I did, the TD symptoms showed up (involuntary mouth and facial movements that were obvious and annoying). He's been very good about working with me and my neurologist in coordinating care as I've been treated for the TD symptoms. Dr. Menninger is cautious and conservative when it comes to medication, which I very much appreciate after my experience with Abilify. I see him regularly, although only every few months, to check in on how things are going with my medications. These are short appointments and somehow there's no co-payment for them with my medical plan, so I certainly like that! During appointments Dr. Menninger takes his notes on his computer as he goes along. It seemed odd, at first, as I wasn't used to that, but now I don't notice it, and being "connected" Dr. Menninger can rapidly find and print out studies and articles on various issues for you while you're sitting in his office, which is very handy. All in all, definitely recommended!

Even now that I'm doing…read moremuch better I can go share with the group as well as try to provide feedback to others that may help them with their struggles. It is a non for profit group that only asks for small donations when you can making it easy for anyone to participate. Having a feeling of fitting in and belonging when it feels you are most alone with your struggles is life saving. Another great part is even though it is the Depression and Bipolar support, the group welcomes all type of mental conditions including anxiety, insomnia, ADHD, and others that may or may not be associated with depression or bipolar.

Paid out of pocket for testing for my daughter- $400!!! I have an EOB from my insurance company…read morethat shows my responsibility is $0. I've had no luck getting a refund. The therapist is wonderful, but this is wrong. My insurance company has added them to a list of "uncooperative providers" but that doesn't pay my rent or my groceries or my untilities etc. Front desk staff is great as well. The problem is with billing. I have the proof, I've sent the proof, but I guess I am out of luck.
