The place is super cute and has a romantic feel. The place was understaffed our poor waiter was running around like crazy. So we waited some time to be served. Food was good as well as the fresh drinks.

This restaurant is really really really good it was probably my favorite Mexican restaurant while in Mexico. The food was perfect full of so much flavor!!! My plate came with a variety of options and everything was so yummy.

Stuffed poblano and Mexican platter!! Both must haves!

If you find yourself in Valladolid on your way back from Chize Nitzan or a Cenote, this is a nice price to stop by and have lunch/dinner! Stuffed poblano and the Mexican platter are what I recommend. Our server was not good and probably the only bad one we had in Mexico but if I take that out, then this place is nice for food.

This one of my favorite parts of my Cancun trip! We had an awesome tour guide who suggested this restaurant and drove us here after exploring the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza. The prices are fair and less expensive than in the states, with amazing service and quality. I fell in love with the interior as soon as we walked in. It mimics the a small Italian courtyard garden with an open center to let sunlight in. The cozy and detailed decor, the airyness, and fun colors contributed to the warm atmosphere. I was delightfully surprised when the guacamole we ordered was made fresh in front of us! One of the waiters brought a rollover table, stone bowl, avocado, and other ingredients and mashed it up right in front of us and served it right after. It tasted fresh and delicious! There are also complementary chips, Pico de Gallo and habanero sauce. I ordered two drinks (it was SO hot at Chicen Itza and I was dying for something cold and refreshing): the green juice and strawberry grapefruit orange smoothie. The green juice tasted healthy and refreshing, and less on the sweet side. The strawberry grapefruit orange smoothie was delicious! Perfect amount of sweetness and very tasty. For my entree, I ordered one of the "flamed" dishes which was the Caribbean Shrimp. Again, I was delighted when one of the workers came out with a rolling table with a wok and ingredients! He cooked the entire dish right in front of me and served it right after. I've never had anything quite like it - it had pineapple, coconut, and a side of sweet rice and veggies. I LOVED it! I would highly recommend it if you like tropical savory dishes. All of the employees were very welcoming and provided excellent service. I would come again if I had the chance. They have a wide selection of foods to order from Mexican traditional to regional foods.

Great dinner, especially for a place that seems like a major tourist trap. We considered going somewhere else per the hotel concierge recommendation but ultimately came here and loved it. The ambiance is wonderful and service is attentive. The menu is vast with Mexican, local Mayan, and Western options.

After a long morning of Chichen Itza and Cenote swimming, our driver suggested we stop for lunch and shopping in Valladolid. We parked in the back of this hotel, so we weren't quite sure what we were walking into , but we're quite pleased to find the open air courtyard restaurant inside. We were promptly shown to a table for 6 and got down to ordering. Service was really good, and we didn't have to wait long to order drink refills etc. The menu covered quite a lot, and a lot of the dishes are unique to Valladolid, so we took some time to look it over. The Stuffed Cheese dish sounded like a must, so we ordered it to start and to share, while taking our time to figure out the other orders. Despite seeing the picture, none of us were quite expecting what came out as the Stuffed Cheese dish. Not that that's a bad thing, it tasted amazing, and we were all happy to share it! First round of drinks were up and we enjoyed Sangrias, Margaritas and Daiquiris! I decided to try the Avocado Gazpacho, which was perfect for the outside weather. I liked the soup, but didn't love it, however my step-father happily sucked down what I had left, so it's definitely a preference thing. Since the Marques Shrimp was going to be cooked table-side, I ordered this simply to see the showmanship, which was quite entertaining, and definitely a tasty dish. However, my husband's Garlic Shrimp was slightly more yummy! Supposedly this is the best restaurant in town, and we definitely enjoyed it! Perfect location to for checking out the square, the church and some light souvenir shopping!

Despite being a popular destination for tourists, the food itself is not the touristy fare that you'll find in the likes of Cancun. The food here is authentic, and it is very good. As for the price, it is very reasonable for the quality of the restaurant and the fact that they serve almost exclusively tourists. Dishes generally ranged from 120 to 200 mxn, and cocktails varied from 40 to 70 mxn. If you don't arrive early, you can expect to wait a while for a table as it is very popular every night of the week it seems. Also, don't be surprised if nearly half the menu is not available like happened when I was finally able to be seated. Despite the wait, and having to choose 2nd and 3rd choices from the menu, I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied with my meal. The queso stuffed chile relleno was to die for, and the chicken pibil just melted away in my mouth with a mix of fantastic flavors. Also, I almost forgot about the green hot sauce they bring with the chips. It was one of the hottest that I tried in Mexico. My mouth was on fire.

Went to Cancun March 2020 and our friend suggested this place after our trip from Chichen Itza. Truly my favorite place we ate the entire trip, everything is so fresh, less tourists, good prices&cute ambiance! On our next trip I'll be sure to return. I got the mole and my bf got the molcajete. The guac was made right in front of us, and did not disappoint. Everything was delish.

Amazing food! This place has the most authentic Mayan food. The service is amazing and the food is so tasty that you keep eating. The ambience is colonial style Spanish setting.

One visit. It is on the plaza, so very tourist oriented. Had a very good breakfast in a nice ambience. Service was good. I would go back.

It's a traditional colonial style Spanish building with an open atrium in the middle complete with a running fountain directly in the center. They are well known for their brunch, but we stopped in for the lunch service. It was quite crowded when we got there, but we were able to be seated right when we arrived. They have a fairly large menu filled with all sorts of Mexican dishes, all the ones that we tried fantastic. I chose the chicken pool because it was the only new one for me. Was raised in San Diego and live in Los Angeles so most of the dishes on the menu I can find back at home but the pinup was a new one for me and I really loved it. The restaurant location is very walkable and is in the outer ring of the city center aka Plaza de Armas. Is easy to walk to the farmers market in the center courtyard or to one of the other many shops close by. I would definitely recommend to anyone to stop here when visiting Valladolid and I will definitely be back next time I am in the area.
