I love this place. Huge selection of rolling papers and glass. The staff is super helpful as well. I've dropped by on several occasions for some emergency picks up when it came to papers. I love that they have a big selection of RAW products as well, those are my favorite. I'm usually in and out within about 5-10 minutes, but lately I've been a little curious about some of the papers they carry, especially the Juicy Jay's. Love those things! Disappointed.. but first off let me mention that I usually really appreciate this smoke shop. The loyalty rewards program of course is a good incentive and even if I'm not sure about what credit they give back LOL it still makes me feel good. Durable ones that last me forever until I end up losing them. They have all the coolest little helpful gadgets you didn't even know existed. Never go there to buy a hookah. Went there on a Saturday night and bought a hookah for a party at a friends place - the shopkeeper seemed really nice but the hookah was missing so many parts and even had few duplicate parts. Called them next morning- was told to call the next day because the supervisor was not there. Even after explaining the situation no effort was taken by the employee to ensure that i was contacted - anyways - spoke with the supervisor for next 2 days - she said she will ensure that the parts were there and I can have it picked up. As I dont live near the shop but was visiting, I had to send my friends in to pick up the missing parts. Luckily I had told them to double check that I all the parts were there - guess what - they were still missing parts even after the supervisor said she had the parts ready for us to pick up ( she had asked for pictures and I sent them for her to figure out missing parts) and the shopkeeper couldn't even get the hookah together. After insisting they gave us the refund but it was so much hassle and never had such an experience from any shop ever. Very disappointing. read more

Undoubtedly worth 5 stars...I visited this shop for the first time yesterday and the shopkeeper was really nice and patient, helped us in picking up good hookah and gave helpful advise that actually worked. The coal that we picked up did not work he was kind enough to take that back and proactively give us other coal that would work with our cooking range, without any cost. He also gave us 15% Yelp checkin discount of which I was not aware. I was worried for being cheated in the smoke shop looking at reviews for other smoke shop and hearing few of the experiences of friends, but this shop made my 1st time hookah buying experience really wonderful. read more

Hot Box is by far the best Smoke Shop in Santa Clara and quite possibly the Bay Area, I was very impressed by their selection of cigarettes and vaping products in particular. They had cigarettes in stock that I haven't had any luck finding anywhere else in the Bay Area. They also are far superior to any other smoke shop when it comes to carrying the newest vaping products. I was very impressed by the fact that they carried the "Cloud Beast King" Tank by Smok. No one else has this in stock within a 30 mile radius from what I have seen. In regards to customer service, Braheem was extremely friendly and helpful with assisting me and getting me anything I needed. He was extremely professional while being an absolute pleasure to talk to. I won't be going to any other smoke shop from now on. I would like to officially amend my review that I left earlier this evening. I admittingly wrote a review saying that I was disappointed with this shop. I did say that I had been coming to this place for years and I have always been nothing but happy with this establishment and always love coming back and giving them a business. You can read my first review cuz I left it after this one but I completely retract the negative things that were said. I only retract them because of the actions taken by the owner and the staff in light of what my review was about . I've used Yelp for a long time and I try to be as honest as possible. I have written many positive reviews and I've written many negative reviews. Never before tonight have I had the owner of an establishment so quickly reach out and message me about the incident or should I say mistake that was made and do everything in the owners power 2 fix and make up for the mistake that was made . Like I said in my previous review I too am a business owner and value the businesses that I have and have sold successfully partly because my business is a reflection of the work that I've done and the passion I put forth. I got to see that in another business owner tonight and it really was an amazing thing to see the owner of the hot box is a very good man that's a very good business owner and he knows the value of the customer and how much they mean to your business . One thing that I do have to make mention of is the fact that in my last review I did mention a mistake that was made by the staff member that was there but what I failed to save was even though a mistake was made I was given the best customer service by the employee that was there. I would rather have a ton of clerical errors as long as I have employees that are providing phenomenal customer service. If there were going to be stipulations to that and that should have been stated in the promo on Yelp. Being a business owner myself that is very bad business and build a very bad reputation for your business.
