So I was pretty hesitant to go get my hair done, but I'm glad I went! Vick did an amazing job and so please and happy with my results. I have brown hair with light red color ends and she her best to get rid of it and add gorgeous highlights!! My cousin came up to see me from out of the country and she wanted to get an American haircut, but she wanted something simple so we went to hot cuts and this old heavyset lady wearing too much make up, was gossiping and talking crap about people and wasn't even being discreet about it. My cousin ended up getting the gossiper and that old ladies attention was everywhere but on my cousins haircut which ended up being an uneven cut! I do not recommend this place. Vickie was highly recommended, but she destroyed my gf's hair! Shes been crying all night. She wanted layers, but Vickie chopped her hair unevenly. She has highlights in hair so the chops are very noticeable. Vickie did horizontal uneven chops as opposed to vertical blended layers. Shop offered to fix, but trust is broken. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My husband went in for a haircut and it seriously looks like someone skipped rocks across the back of his head. He asked for a skin tight fade but instead he was left with patches all over. After spending $20 for the haircut we had to take him straight to another barber to fix his hair. This place is a joke. Went in to lower my ears and asked for a simple 1inch cut all the way around. When i got home there was a bunch of spots they missed. My wife had to even me out. Just went back for another cut last week and noticed there are no reviews, please allow me to remedy this. My family and I have gone here for haircuts for over a decade and think they are wonderful! Yes, south Jackson is going through some hard times with key stores abandoning us for the new travesty in Martell, but this fine store is still awesome. I always get just what is asked for, no surprise too much hair gone or crazy styling issues. They have a nice selection of salon products and are really family friendly. read more

I took my Son to get a hair cut at this mess of a salon. An older lady with a tattoo on her neck was so completely rude to my Son and did a horrible job on his hair!!! We walked out and now have to go pay for a second haircut to fix her damage. I'm not saying this because he is my Son but he was sitting very still and very well behaved. I could tell he was scared as she was barking orders at him!!! I would never return to this salon nor recommend it to anyone. read more

My son and I got out hair cut here yesterday and I would say my son's is just ok. My cut is a short pixie style and all I wanted was the back and sides trimmed back up around my ears. I ended up having my sides uneven. One side looks like a straight line sideburn and the other is fringy like I wanted but the right side is almost an inch shorter. read more

We went into Hot Cuts today to have my 13 year old daughters hair cut. I had my 3 1/2 year old son and 1 1/2 year old daughter with me. They were very good, just talking about the dogs and cats on tv and about the baseballs and other sports balls on the wall. There were a few "loud moments" from them considering their ages but nothing normal kids don't do. When we walked out, my oldest had a bad look on her face, I asked what was wrong, she said that when she sat down to get her hair cut (we had literally just walked in) the lady said to her that she wished we would have left the kids in he car! Ummm.. Excuse me?!?! I flipped out! I went back in and told her I wanted my money back and how dare her speak to my 13 year old about my kids?! She never even apologized just said "I don't have kids".. So! What does that matter? Not having kids allows you to be rude to others that do? Maybe you shouldn't work with the public! I asked who the owner was because I wanted to speak to them, and shockingly SHE is the owner! I was absolutely shocked! I can't believe people actually act this way!
