What a fun little place. The music was great, there were plenty of picnic tables to eat at and a littke bathroom if needed too. I chose the polish dog... loved it. My friend got the coney w red sauce... loved it. Other friend got hot dog...loved it. We all got mugs of root beer and damn was that a needed addition. There is no lobby so you order at the window and then take it to your car to eat there are no picnic tables either. The only except cash. Hot dogs are boiled and warmed in the microwave I expected a grilled hot dog at least. The red sauce is far too sweet and they don't put hardly any of it on there. When I want a Coney I want meat. I was just not impressed but what I will say is maybe it's just me because this place stays consistently busy during the summer months. They have chips and they have fountain drinks. It's really super basic but the pricing is fair. I just have had way better conies so maybe my expectations were too high to begin with. Staff was friendly since I didn't have cash cuz I didn't know that was the policy she let me do cash app. There's plenty of parking and it's on a main road within walking distance to an ice cream place. read more

Didn't bring cash with me the first time around not knowing they only take cash came back a few days later. I ordered 2 Coney dogs and their classic root beer.... The chili was a little sweet for my taste for chill but the root beer was 10 out of 10. The dog was 4.50$ kind of expensive for a hot dog .... The location was right down Main Street in downtown Grand blanc it's a walk up window. Parking lot was very clean and had benches to sit at if you chose. read more

My family and I enjoy getting some coneys here once or twice a year (when they open and/or when they close for the season. The homemade root beer has good flavor, but it does tend to be flat. Services is usually pretty friendly. The ambiance is...well, that of a hot dog stand. I do wish they'd catch up and start taking a card because I never carry cash and it isn't convenient, but the coneys and the polish dog are tasty. Oh! You can get bags of chips but they don't offer burgers or anything else and I think that's what makes it perfect. Yuck yuck yuck! Snap hotdogs!! They snap when you bite them. Are they selling pig intestine hotdogs... aka natural casing. I was so excited and then in one bit... disgusted!! Just stopped in for lunch after driving by it for 2 months, telling myself each time that I would try it out because it looked authentic. Well, my instincts were correct. I really enjoyed the chili dog with mustard and onions. As a fan of hot dogs in general, I found the dog juicy and tender and the bun was steamed perfectly. DEFINITELY get the root beer. According to the lady behind the counter, it is homemade and it tasted much better than store-bought or other fountain varieties. Next time I'll try the root beer float. Skip this place if you don't like hot dogs because there's not much else on the menu. However, I can't imagine that you'll find a better hot dog anywhere in town. This place is a staple in grand Blanc. It's a cash only little hot dog stand that has yummy dogs. The buns and dogs are steamed. They make their own red sauce that is to die for. Their root beer comes out of a tap and doesn't have a lot of carbonation, which I think is awesome. There's plenty of parking. If you get your food for here they'll serve your root beer in a frosty glass. I will greatly miss this place when I move. read more

How I wish the GB Hot Dog Stand was in Cali! I grew up eating from this place. I remember pulling up to a parking space and a high school kid working for the summer would come up to your car to take your order. The food is brought to you on a tray that hooks onto your rolled down window. Classic 50's style sans girls on rollerskates! The hot dogs are Koegels (best hot dogs ever and only sold in MI? Booooo!!) and cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of chili and onions on top. The rootbeer is homemade and tastes so awesome! A&W doesn't even come close! Good hot dogs. Best part is the drive up and car hop service. I probably need to experience it a couple more times, but I don't really get why it's so popular. Maybe growing up and living in California for MOST of my life, hot dogs are just hot dogs to me. Oh and the root beer? I've always known SODA to have carbonation. I don't get why anyone would want flat root beer. I drink soda for the carbonation, then flavor. Yuck to flat homemade root beer. Sorry Michigan. Nice little place. They come out to your car and serve you! You can either eat in your car or outside at a picnic table. Good root beer served hare as well as Koegel Hot Dogs. Tuesdays are discount days so they are a great day to stop in. Better than the fast food places in the area. This place is a nice change of pace. I grew up in the area and have fond memories of my parents taking me here in the mid70s. I've been away for a long time but every time I'm back in the summer I eat at the hot dog stand and it's always even better than I remembered. Decided to try and support a local business. Hours posted are different on website and Facebook so I drove there to see of they were open. Were still open but there was a large sign saying cash only, nothing about this posted anywhere on website or Facebook. So I drove to an ATM fo get cash. The HOT DOG STAND Grand Blanc, MI. I use to eat here all the time. I stopped in today and got my usual and it was the worst I have ever had. They did not have their normal Koegel Vienna hot dogs. These were the worst hot dogs I have ever had. They tasted like the little hot dogs you get in the can that are soaked in god knows what. They were small. They were so bad after eating a half dog I threw out all the rest of them. I was very disappointed at this and had I been closer I would have turned around and went back and complained. I would NOT recommend anyone going back to this place until they get the Koegel Vienna's back. I almost got sick even eating that crap they were serving today. It has been 4 hours now and I am still burping up that crap. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed as this was a great place to eat. read more
