Even on a Friday afternoon, the place was busy with people enjoying drinks, so I can definitely see it being a popular hangout. The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive, checked on us often, and kept our pop refills coming without us ever having to ask. Our food arrived quickly, hot, and fresh. The burgers were large, juicy, and had some creative topping combinations. I ordered one topped with a fried egg, expecting the yolk to add richness like it usually does on a burger, but the egg was completely cooked through with no runny yolk at all, so it didn't really add much. Overall, I found the burgers to be underseasoned. They looked great, but the flavor was a little flat and could have used more seasoning. The waffle fries were crispy and probably my favorite part of the meal. I also ordered a side of cheese sauce to dip them in, but it was so thick and gelatinous that I couldn't even get a fry into it, which was disappointing. We also ordered the corned beef egg rolls, which were very greasy. The outside was crispy, but the wrapper was thick and a bit doughy inside. The house-made ranch, however, was excellent and paired well with the fries. For three burgers, one appetizer, three pops, and about a $100 bill, I expected the food to wow me a little more. It wasn't bad by any means, I just wasn't as impressed as I expected based on all the rave reviews. If the food had a little more seasoning and the egg rolls, cheese sauce, and overall execution were improved, I'd enjoy it much more. I'd still give it another try, especially for the atmosphere, location, and outstanding service.

I must say, it was a pretty good coney dog. All B Dogs coneys are made using Koegels. Nothing beats a Koegel. The dogs are all custom, not sitting around after being hours earlier. I could taste the freshness in mine, from the Koegel hot dog to the bun and toppings. Forget the ravings of every diner in the area proclaiming they have the best or most authentic Flint coney. Nope, this one is the best I've had anywhere and I've tried all of those greasy spoons that jump up and down saying theirs is the most authentic in the area. Most are fine, but this one gets my vote for best coney. That's one man's opinion, but it's my opinion and my opinion matters. The price was right- only a few bucks for a hearty coney with chips. If we had not been with other people I would have gotten up and left. We will NEVER return and will find somewhere else to continue our day out. I was instructed that my dog must be under the table, could not bark or jump up or we would have to leave. Her entire job is to let me know and allow her to jump into my lap or lay on my chest! There was plenty of room for the waitress to reach our table. We intentionally went to the very back of the restaurant so as to not be in the way of anyone else. We were NOT in a booth where there is only one way to access the table to serve us. This manager obviously has something against dogs or something. If she is under the table she cannot get to me properly. The staff need to do their research or learn exactly what is acceptable for a service dog. You don't get to make up your own rules!! Even my 9 year old sons know more about service dog behavior than these adults in this restaurant. No customers complained and in fact several times we were complimented on how well she behaved by other patrons. When I attempted to address it on my way out I was again informed that my dog could not be in the isle. If that was all he said I may have let it go. The fact that we were still getting settled shows just how unprofessional they were. My service dog is VERY well behaved and while the state does not require any testing or registration I have taken the time and gone the extra mile to have her go through public access tests and she passed with flying colors at only 9 months old!! If you have an issue with dogs I suggest you do not work where you will come across service dogs. You have no business being anywhere around the public! After we left I found other instances where others had faced the same problems. I hope others that require a service dog read the reviews before going there.

As it turns out, I was SO glad that I stopped.
