As it turns out, I was SO glad that I stopped. My double burger came STACKED with super fresh lettuce, tomato and onions, plus mustard, and to that I added the chopped olives for another $0.49--what a burger!!! Absolutely loved every delicious, juicy bite! Oh, and the thick fries were battered and apparently double fried ... well, however they were prepared they were excellent and served piping hot. And I was so surprised on how amazing and incredibly impressive it was. I called about a half hour ahead so they could have ample time to make everything in the order. I went to the cashier to pick up my food, and she greeted me with a smile and efficient service. The kitchen ensures that everything is brought out exactly as (if not better than) the customer ordered. I believe the owner came out as well for a brief moment. He struck me initially as a very strong business owner and a kind personality with both employees, and customers alike. It was still hot from the fryer, they put the perfect amount of sauce on the chicken, the corn bites were hot and fresh as well. Even on a Friday afternoon, the place was busy with people enjoying drinks, so I can definitely see it being a popular hangout. The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive, checked on us often, and kept our pop refills coming without us ever having to ask. Our food arrived quickly, hot, and fresh. The burgers were large, juicy, and had some creative topping combinations. I ordered one topped with a fried egg, expecting the yolk to add richness like it usually does on a burger, but the egg was completely cooked through with no runny yolk at all, so it didn't really add much. Overall, I found the burgers to be underseasoned. They looked great, but the flavor was a little flat and could have used more seasoning. The waffle fries were crispy and probably my favorite part of the meal. I also ordered a side of cheese sauce to dip them in, but it was so thick and gelatinous that I couldn't even get a fry into it, which was disappointing. The house-made ranch, however, was excellent and paired well with the fries. For three burgers, one appetizer, three pops, and about a $100 bill, I expected the food to wow me a little more. The tots were very tasty and, thankfully, not greasy, which I really appreciated. One of my colleagues ordered the double cheeseburger with fries, and wow, it looked delicious and huge. There was a lot of beef on that burger, and seeing the size of it made me glad I went with the coney because I definitely would not have been able to finish what he ordered.
