1 Star - Very uncomfortable tipping experience I have been a regular customer at this massage place and usually visit about twice a month. As someone who also works in the service industry, I understand how important tips are and I always tip fairly depending on the quality of service. In the past I have tipped anywhere between $15-$25. However, my most recent visit was extremely uncomfortable and disappointing. I booked a 90-minute massage that cost $115 after tax. When it came time to pay, I intended to leave a $20 tip, which would bring my total to $135. The payment machine actually showed multiple tip options including $20. However, the staff refused to allow me to select the $20 option. They insisted that the tip must be 30% or more, and pointed to a small note on the table that said 30% gratuity is "appreciated." They then attempted to add $30 to my bill without my agreement. This is very concerning for several reasons: * The 30% tip was never disclosed before the service started * It was not listed on the official menu or pricing * The payment machine still shows optional tip amounts but customers are not allowed to choose them * Staff attempted to force a higher tip after the service was already completed A gratuity is supposed to be voluntary unless a business clearly lists a mandatory service charge before the service begins. Posting a small note on the table and then pressuring customers at the payment terminal is not transparent and creates a very uncomfortable situation. As a loyal customer who has supported this business many times, I felt extremely disappointed by how this was handled. If a business wants to require a 30% service charge, it should clearly state that on the menu and inform customers before the service -- not pressure them at the register after the service is finished. Customers should be aware of this policy before visiting. read more

I live down the street and have been here a dozen times. I've done the couples massage with my wife three times as well. It's a step above the average Asian massage parlor; it's got a clean, fantastic setup and vibe. As the name suggests they use hot stones as part of the $60 1 hour massage which is a nice feature. I see all the 1 star reviews very concerned about tipping. I don't think people should tell you how to tip, but I also feel like these workers earn their suggested 30% or whatever is posted. The name of this place has been calling to me since I first saw the signs appear, but covid and a lack of planning has kept me away. It does say that walk ins are welcome, but calling ahead of time may be the way to go. The price is pretty amazing at a 1$ a minute for a hot stone massage, seems you can choose from 30, 60 or 90 minutes. It looks really nice inside and there are private rooms which I really was not expecting. This is a true massage where you get naked and lotioned up, for some reason I was thinking it would be more like a foot massage place, but this is not the case. You may have the option to choose the gender of your masseuse if this is important to you. I was worried I might be a little cold with the thin sheet covering me while on the table, but my masseuse used some additional towels to help with that. I am often cold so a hot stone massage is pretty great to me, I love every opportunity to be warm. I also appreciated that they used a warm, wet towel to wipe the lotion off before I got dressed as this can also be annoying afterwards. I was surprised that even though I forgot to put my hair up, it was completely lotion free at the end thanks to the added towel which pushed it up off my neck. My partner enjoyed his massage as well. You can hear people in the various rooms, but if everyone is quiet it should be a nice relaxing experience. We will definitely be back. read more

They do offer walk-ins, too. I've had at least three different therapists and they all do a similar massage routine. My last one was today and he asked where I wanted focus and definitely worked out the knots in my shoulders and neck. Very skilled and consistent pressure. The charge is extra if using a credit card, but still much better pricing after tip compared to other places. Under $100 for a full body one hour massage! Finding your masseuse is like finding a nail artist- it's going to take some time to find the perfect one for you, but when you do, get her name and don't lose her. You'd pay upwards of $115-300 for a one hour massage anywhere outside of these foot massages so don't be surprised when you're encouraged to tip more than $10 on top of $60..... you're still paying a lot less than you would anywhere else. So if you're not willing to tip $25-30 then maybe you shouldn't get a massage. I've received amazing customer service and massages everytime I've come here. I tipped 20% and the therapist was visibly distraught and disappointed. This completely distracted from what is supposed to be a relaxing, enjoyable experience. Every time I go I get the best massages. I usually get the 60 minute massage and it's worth it every time. I took my partner and we got a couples massage as well. The first time I went I wasn't certain about whether I should wear my boxers or not and so I did. But being very professional they just worked around them.
