I placed an order online for "in store pick up" I understand it was the week before Christmas, however all items showed "in stock", the order at checkout charged me and I waited for my conformation email saying that my order would be ready in 3-4 hours. My husband went twice to pick it up and he was told maybe later. The next day I called, I was told by Ricardo it would be a three to five minute wait to speak to someone at the store. I waited. After 15 minutes I was disconnected. When I got to the store to pick up my order, he said he only had one item in my order and as I questioned him about them being in stock and available he grabbed another item I had ordered and handed it to me, when I asked about another item he said "I can't find it" and just stared blankly at me. One of my favorite HT locations even though it's one of the smaller ones I've been to. We all already know how limited the shops are in the High Desert, so it's nice that this particular Hot Topic doesn't follow the Las Vegas Hot Topics in posting all the pop drops on their social media. Yes, that's a double edge sword because you'd have to drive to this location (which is a pretty lengthy drive for me) and feel the disappoint when you see a bare pop wall or no new releases, but you also feel satisfaction when you randomly show up and a pop you've been wanting but refuse to pay resellers/flippers for have been waiting for your arrival! They've finally started to restock their pops, I was a little worried once that wall started becoming bare. They also have a kiosk outside and some of the most personable employees. read more

I have been in this store, at the beginning of 2020! I came here, when I visited my relatives in High Desert. They had a good variety of apparel to choose from. Furthermore, they had other collectibles on sale. Therefore, when I came here, I have purchased a T-Shirt of Rick and Morty. So far, I really enjoy it. The lines, at the time, were long. However, they were moving quite fast. So definitely, if anyone is in High Desert, and need some good T-Shirts, I would recommend to stop by this store! One star because the cashier inside and outside were super nice and amazing I come here almost every other day with my husband and daughter love checking out the MHA area go DEKUUUU, everyone is always nice all the managers expect the one with blue hair every time I come in she has a bad attitude I tried giving her the benefit of the doubt but every time I come in she looks mad or is having an attitude with people and with her employees, I'm not sure why hot topic wants a manager that has a huge ego and a horrible power trip the last 3 weeks I've came in she's probably told 10 different people "oh well I'm a manager" . I never leave bad reviews but It's just really starting to get a little annoying to the point I'm going down to the Ontario mills hot topic now I also emailed corporate , the only reason I did that is because you can tell other people are bothered by her and it's not the first time people have had an issue with her I understand mask mandates as well we always wear our mask but it's getting out of hand with her, I'm not sure what manager position she's in but you can right away tell how bad of an attitude she has, if she doesn't like her job then she should quit. read more

We were in the store yesterday and my young daughter wanted to pay for her purchase herself, but she still gets nervous during the checkout process. I went into Hot Topic yesterday afternoon with my boyfriend. He picked out two shirts that he wanted and we went to checkout. He went to pay with his visa gift cards that had money on them and we were told he could not use them due to the fact that the system was declining them. We asked the lady working behind the counter to hold them for us so we can run back home and get 2 other gift cards that would work, she told us no that they were doing inventory tonight. Okay we get that you're doing inventory we are going to be back in 10 minutes to purchase the shirts. Why would you turn down a sale when you're not closing for another 6 hours? We get back to Hot Topic and the cashier did not greet us or even make eye contact. She stood behind the counter writing on receipts and 5 minutes later she finally got to us. That is NOT ok to do. We get home with the shirts my boyfriend pulls them out and the one shirt isn't even the one we picked out and brought to the counter. So here we go again driving back to exchange the shirt. The manager that comes over to do the exchange is VERY rude she didn't ask what the problem was or even say hello. To me that is not ok and I will not give that Hot Topic my money ever again. read more
