The owners should know the staff had given up and was having their own party at the bar our entire service which may be why the service and wait was so bad. Or may that is the owner and you just done care. Unable to answer basic menu questions. Never brought a persons drink. Brought me the wrong drink. Then charged 20 bucks for a double Tito's. When my friend offered to keep the other double incorrect drink to be nice they charged two specialty drinks plus 4.60 for extra shot. Essentially - 28 bucks for a drink. Wtf Burnt ends were over done for appetizer. I got 2 meat combo and received two thin slices of overcooked brisket with more than half fat content and one slice turkey breast that was dry. The Texas toast was just, in fact, toasted white bread. Other issues but honestly said nothing, paid bill, and considered this a lesson. Two stars for sub par bbq. Do better for the prices yall. This was a complete fail.

The restaurant is in an older building so it has a really rustic authentic feeling that sets it apart from other places. Our server Chandler was quick and personable. He was really great with interacting with the table and made the experience even better. Now for the food.... this is definitely in my top 3 BBQ places. The portions were huge and I felt like the prices were reasonable. I tried all of their sauces and they were all delectable and diverse so everyone can find something that they like. You definitely want to come here with an appetite because everything is just so good and comforting. You will leave satisfied.

Husband and I got the half pork platter with one side. He got beans, which he said were delicious. I got a fresh garden salad with honey mustard. Our friend got brisket (looked moist) with side salad and coleslaw (not creamy). We all got cornbread and liked it. All of us enjoyed our meals, and savored them. Salads were fresh. Pork was just right. It was quiet and peaceful so we were able to catch up in normal speaking voices. Didn't have to shout to be heard. Our waitress was attentive and kept checking up on us. We appreciated that kind of service. We only had to get one to go box for our friend. Husband and I got clean plate awards! Friend paid her bill with a credit card. We used Apple Pay after scanning the QR code. I don't remember paying a surcharge for not using cash, which was refreshing. When we left an hour later, more people were in booths, and the bar area was no longer empty. This is a really nice place, with good food and service. It should be full all the time!

The restaurant has plenty of space-both the dining room and parking lot are large, making it easy to accommodate bigger groups. When you walk in, there is a medium-sized bar towards the back, and spacious dining area to the left with both booths and tables. Our group of eight chose to sit outside on the patio, which was comfortable even though it faces the parking lot. The atmosphere overall felt warm and welcoming. Our server, Emily, was wonderful- friendly, upbeat, and incredibly attentive. Even though she was new, she handled our table like a pro. The menu offers a solid selection at reasonable prices. We started with Fried Pickles and Chicken Wings, which the whole table enjoyed. For entrees, we ordered a variety of dishes; the Brisket Sandwich, Pulled Pork, Smokehouse Wrap, Smoked Chicken Plate, and the Baked Potato Bowl. Each meal came with a side dish, including Mac & Cheese, Fries, Collard Greens, Hushpuppies, and Cornbread. Everyone was happy with their food. Portions were generous, and the meats were smoked beautifully-tender, juicy, and full of flavor! We lingered at the table, enjoying both the food and the company. Low and Slow Smokehouse delivered a great experience with excellent food and friendly service. We'll definitely be back!

We may not be in Texas, but this is my favorite American bbq spot!…read more Soooooo good. Love that they have lobster here too. Service is friendly and prompt, space is open and you have easy access to everything. If you get sliced brisket, you can ask for the fatty cuts. All the bbq sauces are great.... the lobster grilled cheese is now an off menu item, but it's something that's a must. Just a warning though.... the coleslaw is at about a dessert level amount of sweet. It's popular, but not for everybody. Wish there were more places like Gaskins! It's worth the drive if you're not from the area.

Only two ounces of lobster meat. I got it with the lobster bisque, which was really tasty. My brother Jonathan got the fish & chips with a side of barbecue beans. He thought the fish was made from an inferior fish and it was a bit dry. His barbecue beans were tasty, but quite oniony. Pro tip; We sit in the cushioned seating with the pillows. There are some uncomfortable seats with no padding or pillows. There are TVs with no volume and closed captioning. Overall, it is a good place to go, but keep in mind it is on the pricey side. I'm not sure the value is always there.
