    Wow the BBQ was amazing

If you want good portions definitely go here. Delicious BBQ. I really wanted there Tomahawk Chop but I knew I would not finish it lol. Clearly they are known for it because every other table had one. The service was a 20 out 20 so professional and sweet. We went for my birthday and had so much fun, they also do a buffet. A hidden gem in Lakeland.

Low and Slow Smokehouse 1853 E Memorial Blvd, Lakeland, FL 33801 @lowandslowsmokehouse Looking for a good BBQ place to eat in Lakeland? I have an option for you. Low and Slow BBQ Smokehouse. Bringing you the best meat cuts, pulled pork and chicken BBQ, this place calls for finger lickin goodness. I ordered the Texas Sampler which is is probably the go to if you have company and want to share. They also gave their Chicken Tender Basket which my son loved. The hushpuppies were also good appetizers. If you happen to be in Lakeland, make sure to come visit them. Good for groups, bringing friends and family, sports events, or even a BBQ buffet. They even have a cool aquarium inside the restaurant.

Stopped in here today after passing it for years. We ordered the burnt pork belly ends. The portion was 75% fat and the actual meat was very dry. I don't normally send food back but these were bad. We also ordered collards, Mac and cheese and fried okra. The fried okra was the best part. After returning the burnt pork belly ends we ordered the smoked beef brisket half order. The pit-master was kind enough to send us a full order after the problem with the first order. The brisket gad a nice smoke ring and the rub was good. The server also brought us two dipping sauces a white mayonnaise based sauce and a black pepper flavored vinegar based sauce . We both liked the vinegar based sauce and didn't like the white sauce. The sides that we ordered were a little on the small side and all came out lukewarm warm at best. The server was helpful and quickly got our replacement order out and as I said the pit master gave us double our regular portion. We left full . The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating and really looked like a nice venue for a Birthday Party or some other celebration. I forgot to mention that they also offered a buffet with the basic staples. Overall I feel there are better BBQ places in the area and Im not sure that we will be back.

Great food, great service. Lots of free parking. Outdoor seating. Got the Texas Size sampler, huge servings. Enough for two and enough left for the wife's lunch next day. Best smoked chicken ever

THE MOST SLEPT ON BBQ SPOT IN LAKELAND!!! YALL NEEDS TO TRY THIS!! I mean it's my second time here, brought the rest of the family and truthfully... my dad said this was the BEST BBQ he's ever had... and we love our bbq. Brisket... cooked to perfection. Ribs.... OOOOOOOOOOOF ‍ SEASONED TO PERFECT YALLL I CAB PASS OUT JUST THINKING ABOUT THESE RIBS... wings... BUSSIN! Service QUICK and great! Food came out QUICK! I mean just walking up to the building makes you start drooling because of the smoked smell from the smoker outside! 100000/10 recommend this spot, we got some coupons to share with our church to GET THE WORD OUT... BECAUSE MANNN THIS SPOT IS OUR NEW AFTER CHURCH SPOT!! Yum yum yum!

Not Ready for Prime Time! We visited this new outlet recently and had mixed reactions. When ordering, our first complication came with the Caesar salad. One of our guests wanted the salad and some pulled (shredded) chicken as a protein. The server said this could not be done since the chicken was all leg quarters. She recommended that we order the smoked chicken platter with the side salad and then could take the chicken and eat it with the salad. I suggested that he just order the Smokehouse Salad with the chicken and the Caesar dressing as an option. That salad is served with shredded chicken. I ordered the $11 House Salad with blue cheese dressing, and the Brisket Sandwich. The blue cheese dressing is great. There are large chunks of cheese and it has a very balanced flavor (not too acidic). The salad was fresh and very good. However, it is served in a bowl that resembles a dog bowl, and it is not worth $11. The salad is a lunch item on the menu, but is served as a side item. The brisket sandwich was very good. The brisket was flavorful and moist, but the presentation screamed 'pot roast.' Sampling the meat alone, there was not a hint of smoke flavor on the meat. I am sure it is slow cooked, but the lack of smokiness was suspect. In a town where every other restaurant is a barbeque joint, Low and Slow is an ambitious endeavor, but needs some work on streamlining processes and products. At one point I counted 8 employees gathered at the end of the bar all socializing. Nothing wrong with that, but it is always a bad look for customers and a brand new restaurant.

So... What's for dinner? The nightly question was answered tonight with a visit to Low and Slow Smokehouse. My wife and I were quickly welcomed by both the hostess and the bartender and sat in a booth. We both ordered the smoked brisket sandwich with a side of cornbread and our plates came out a few minutes later. The buns were piled high with meaty, flavorful brisket and, unlike some other BBQ places, the meat wasn't dry or overly fatty. The cornbread was a generous 5" square service and had just the right amount of sweetness to it. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. While we dined inside the outside dining area and bar looked plenty large to enjoy watching a game on the TVs. There's flags for the Gators, Seminoles, Univ of Miami and Notre Dame (?) but the only thing we found missing was a flag for FSC which is just a few miles away -- Go Mocs! We'll definitely be back and if you haven't tried Low and Slow you're really missing out.

Delicious ribeye and homemade fries. Much better than the chain steak restaurants. Queso appetizer was very good too.

It occupies a beautiful spot just a few blocks outside the main square in downtown Lakeland. The interiors of this donut cafe are tastefully decorated, and they have ample seating should you choose to enjoy your specialty donuts there soon after being served up. While it was hard narrowing down my selection since everything sounded great, I went with their cookies and cream donut (5/5) based on the recommendation of one of the staff members. It was quite possibly one of the best donuts I've had in years, with perfect donut texture as you bit into it, with all the delectable flavors of the indulgent cookies and cream on top. Not only was the donut excellent, but they are served up in tastefully retro boxes which just added to an already amazing experience. While I am generally underwhelmed with donut places, my experience with Parlor Doughnuts recalibrated my scale to what a delicious and ideal donut experience should be, and look forward to trying out their other locations in my future travels. A special thanks to Parlor Doughnuts for raising the bar in the donut game.
