While visiting in the area, we happened to see this barbecue truck on the side of the road and at first I was a little skeptical, but after going up and talking to the guys working, I just knew this was going to be a hit. First of all the seafood rice alone was almost $20, the guy working explained that it was well worth it and once I got home to try it I definitely understood why. There was some type of celery, olives, carrots in the seafood rice something that I had never experienced before, but it just gave it so much a flavor. The ribs are some of the best I've had in the area. The smokiness, mixed with the sweetness of the BBQ sauce was an amazing combination. The pulled pork wasn't really "pulled," and it was salty and dry (adding sauce made it just super salty). The ribs were very meaty, but they were too salty even before the sauce, and the meat was not as tender as I'd like. The sausage was pale but tasty. The green beans were passable. The mac and cheese (topped with ranch, green onions and candied bacon) was too sweet, and the kids wouldn't eat it. There are better options for BBQ in the area. I won't be returning.

Holy smokes, was I in for a treat. The Etoufee was delicious. Lots of seafood and flavor. Then on to the Beignets. I have had some insanely delicious desserts in my day but this was the best sweet treat I have ever had. The beignets were so light and crispy on the outside and doughy goodness on the inside. They were paired with a divine and light as air lemon creme, fresh whipped creme, strawberries and some vanilla ice cream on the side. Seriously if anything, find this foodie truck for the beignets no matter what.
