I moved back home to Pasadena after an ankle injury temporarily put me out of work. I had heard of hot yoga helping with injuries so I thought I'd check out Hot Yoga Pasadena's month $45 first time special, with few expectations as I was not a huge fan of yoga. The studio, classes, and owner Val ended up all being spectacular. The yoga helped with my ankle, but the best improvements I found were in my way of thinking. Each class I found myself mentally zeroed in on the posture and my breathing, letting everything else on my mind fall away. I think a combo of the heat and the discipline that each posture requires made this focus possible. After only a couple consecutive days of classes, I found myself calmer and more peaceful throughout the day and by the end of the month, much more flexible and strong in my postures. The vibe at Hot yoga Pasadena is incredibly open and welcoming of all ages and skill levels, something that made it easy for a newcomer to join in. I'm very thankful to have come tried out this new thing. read more

Cons (PLEASE READ UPDATE BELOW AS WELL!!): I am new to the studio & am loving it...except...sucks to say it, but...the smell!!! :/ The one & only studio's floor is carpeted, & the mildewy smell is terrible. I had the thought in my head today while doing the floor series & having to have my nose right next to the floor that "I am not going to be able to endure this smell if they don't use some kind of aromatherapy spray at least during the floor series." I have been to other yoga classes where they spray something during class like during shavasana, but it wasn't Bikram.. Can we make this happen or no? Maybe I will just try to clean my mat with a strong essential oil or something &/or spray my yoga towel with something before class (not too strong to bother others, of course). Something needs to be done here though. I mean, getting the floors replaced with what Hot 8 Yoga has would be ideal, but removing the carpet is definitely needed in my opinion. Idk if maybe my nose is just sensitive, but I wasn't even able to keep my face near the ground during the floor series postures today, which was so distracting from my practice :/ I also noticed that people who practice here don't respect silence in the studio before & after class, which I cannot stand. Also, one bathroom stall in the locker room & only 2 showers seems insane, so I just stay out of there as much as possible...too many people for such a small area.. ***UPDATE (1/25/17): I went to a class today &&&...I did not smell anything mildewy!!!! No bad smell distracted me from my practice this time!!! Now that I think of it, the class I went to the last time was exceptionallyyy hot & packed with people...must have accounted for the smell... Soooo relieved because I am loving this studio!!! My favorite instructor so far is Oni(: The heat wasn't too overwhelming tonight, so I was really able to go deep into my practice.. It was so great! Thank you thank you thank you!!! Pros: Teachers are great, the room is hottt like it should be, parking is convenient & free, this studio is an easier drive for me than Hot 8 Yoga, &&& there are more Bikram method classes offered here, which is my absolute favvvvv!!! read more

I have been practicing Bikram Yoga for 12 years and have had the opportunity to do so all around the world at approximately 60 studios. There is a standard for this style of yoga- 105 degrees F, 40% humidity, 90 minutes. It is not supposed to be easy, but regular practice has the ability to improve your mind, body, and spirit if you allow it. Bikram Pasadena is consistently hot, humid, and never smells. Why do I drive 30 miles to attend classes regularly at this studio???? - Bikram Pasadena is more than a studio. It's a home. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and inspiring. - The owner is wonderful, understanding, and compassionate. She genuinely, with a full-heart, cares about all of her students. 0.00 star and i mean it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was having my monthly period when i was there although i was in a very good shape not sick or anything but while performing Yoga i felt like my heart rates was irregular and all of the sudden i turned pale , my lip was purple, everything starting to spins and i was literally fainting. For that moment I feel the urge to just sit down BUT THE VERY VERY RUDE AFRICAN INSTRUCTOR NAMED "NAZI-ta " who acted just like her name "NAZI "WAS INSISTING THAT I HAD TO GET UP SO I DON 'T DISCOURAGE OTHER PEOPLE, she told me it's very rude to just sit there and not doing anything. She said it in a humiliated way with her eyes rolling she said " if you 're gonna just sit there then don 't move at all , understand ?! " well, of course when someone is yelling at you i understood that but she didn 't had to yelled like a mad women. In my understanding this is YOGA class not BOOTCAMP i felt very humiliated. But at that moment knowing i'm about to have a heatstroke or fainting from dehydration i had to grabbed my towel to wipe my face ( so i did ) and she just yelled " HEY !!!!! I SAID DON"T MOVE , DON"T MOVE !!! and there is no water break until i said so- so sit your butt down , stay still AND DON 'T MOVE !!! and she rolled her eyes at me in a hateful way ( again! ). WOW !! in my mind i was a bit frightened but surely don 't want to pass out in front of the whole entire class so i know i should take a zip of water and try to catch my breathe. Guys, That moment was real to me i can barely keep my eyes open, everything is spinnning including the Nazi instructor in front of me and i was breathing heavily so i know i had to grabbed my bottle and take a zip of water. There she goes... the minute my hand touched my bottle , she yelled loudly " I did not allow water break yet!? you are very rude to touch water bottle and towel !!! " In my mind i was like what da heck ? am i in a bootcamp ? Is that HOLOCAUST ? I can 't even move to grabbed my towel ?! and i'm about to faint in order for me to recover and continue this negative energy yoga session maybe all i need is just a zip of water... The last time i checked i signed up for a positive Yoga classes not some Yoga bootcamp with the slogan of " try or u die" So you're saying i'm not allow to faint too? Are u serious?! The room was too hot and smelly. I know i had it i decided to get up, barely made it to the door without falling, i swear on my mother 's life i was struggled trying not to fall so she will not humiliate me in front of others again. I don 't know what causes it but i was very very dizzy maybe i was over heated and having a heat stroke. she told the class that it was rude to leave the room and she even grabbed my stuff and my bottle for me basicly she is kicking me out LOL.. sad but it 's true someone told me she also made fun of it and made quite an unacceptable remarks about it, and i find it very disrespectful. It was not right and i was very humiliated in the worst way possible. That is not the real yoga... it 's not positive energy at all... Teaching something negative about others is definitely not Yoga. I think it sucks that if someone is fainting or having the heat stroke but instead of showing some love and caring they're teaching other to not give a dam?! this is not Yoga i know... Yoga is caring and peaceful and i simply won 't be going there anymore.... i won 't recommend it to anyone ever. I will tell you one word.... If that NAZI instructor is there? just RUN !!! Yoga is not about stretching or trying hard to stretch because you're frighten by the instructor. It is about meditation of mind, body and spirit . it's about encouraging mind and body therapy and also not being stress to death and harassed by a yoga instructor while you're fainting to death. Most beginners who goes there never go back or most people who go there were kind of scared of the instructor so they force their body to do what is unusual for their bodies and ended up getting injuries. You see , i 've been doing Yoga long enough to know that Yoga does not come in one day it take practice for a long period of times for body to be that flexible. For Yoga lovers who seeks relaxation for mind and body and feel peace and happy should never ever go there. If u do you will be very dissapointed.. GRrrrr speaking of it now i had been throwing up for about 2 hours my doctor friend just told me i was suffering from severe dehydration and possible low blood sugar or blood pressure. Copying over part of my Silverlake review...in my opinion, there are 3 types of people that take Bikram yoga: A) one who lives, eat and sweat Bikram yoga; B) one who takes Bikram yoga because they can appreciate it for what it is; and C) one who takes Bikram because other people does. ALL studio smell like dirty mildew, all teachers talk through the entire 90 minutes - and given how many people are in the room at once, all classes are hot. Sometimes the room smells, sometimes the room smells 10x worse than it did the day before. A good class is dependent on the teacher, those around you and how you are feeling that day. A kick ass class on Monday does not guarantee a wonderful one the next day. There are times that I want to run out screaming...and times that I want to just fall asleep after the last savasana. After being here a few times, I can appreciate the place, despite the once-in-a-while bad class. The studio has a great mix of the 3 types of people I mentioned above. Like any group exercise/fitness class, the quality of the class can vary from day to day and how you feel. The studio is standard - changing area with curtain, little cubes on the inside for storage and a unisex bathroom in the studio. I HATED my first class here and didn't mind so much the second time. I LOVED the fourth time and wanted to kill someone the fifth time. It's like a roller coaster of love and emotions. With enough space and energy, I can feel like a rock star at times. And that one time when I was surrounded by (1) a teenage boy who fidgeted and stared at me through the entire class (2) a guy that sweated so much that it sounds like he is peeing when doing the standing pose and swimming through mud on the floor and (3) the farter that just let himself go 10+ times during class [sweaty butt and air DOES NOT EQUAL silence]...it makes me want to scream and storm out. But then I thought - this must be the challenge that I must overcome. So you continue on, go home..and feel good. My advice? Stand next to the girls..boys have cooties. And if I ever stand next to any of the 3 guys again, I will gladly burp silently into the air and give my share of disgusting body odor for the class to enjoy :) just kidding... read more

I actually really, really enjoyed the heat and the challenge of Bikram but what I didn't enjoy were the instructors. This is the only place I have done Bikram so I don't have anything to compare it to and can't speak to whether this is how the instructors are trained everywhere or if it was specific to this studio. In all fairness, some of the instructors were great. They really take your personal injuries into account and help you modify poses if you don't know how to do it on your own. They pushed the class and didn't take any cr*p, but still didn't try to embarrass people. But some are really not so great and their people skills are seriously lacking. It is possible to be stern and push your students without being an ass, and it was difficult to focus on my own practice when I am watching/listening to an instructor, quite frankly, talk down to people. I would try to only go to classes being taught by instructors I gelled with, (because honestly there are several that are awesome) but there were just too many times when some nightmare would be filling in for them. They always talk about pushing yourself and you are stronger than you think, but sometimes you have to really listen to your body and know when to stop. The heat can be deceiving as on more than one occasion I felt great in the studio and then a few hours later I discovered I had over done it. BUT that was my fault as I should have been more careful. However one experienced Bikram-er sat down one day to rest for a moment, the instructor literally taunted and lectured him (not in a playful way) into getting back up and continuing the practice, and then got annoyed when he almost passed out and kind of yelled at him to sit down. (Which is what he had been doing in the first place.) The final straw for me was when I did a standing pose from another practice of yoga because the class was doing a pose that was too hard on my back that day and the instructor, who I had already had one condescending experience with in the lobby, rolled his eyes at me and then loudly said, "don't do that" in a disgusted voice. If there was another Bikram studio close enough to me I wouldn't hesitate to try it again, but for now I will stick with regular yoga and pilates. read more

What I love about this studio is that there are yogis of all ages, body types and levels of experience - there's a place for everyone, and beginners are very welcome. I've been practicing yoga for many years, including hot yoga, but am coming back to full-body practice after many months away. Recovering from major surgery has brought me back to the beginning, and the teachers at this studio are patient and encouraging, knowing just when to give a suggestion to try more and when to give a student space. I highly recommend this studio for dedicated yogis and anyone who is yoga-curious. read more

This is not a bad Bikram studio, but there are much better. There are a few instructors here I like (Erin, Y Thuan, and Brook are wonderful). It's amazing how the cultures of studios, even within a 10-15 mile radius can vary so widely. The culture here is one that I do not personally connect with as well. While other studios aim focus on the practice itself, several of the instructors here (not those mentioned above) like to TALK a lot, telling stories between the postures and sets. I find this distracting and that it takes away from the focus of the practice. There was one occasion on which these stories took up so much time that they had to cut back on the time of other postures or leave out the corpse pose in between, in order to get us out at a reasonable time. Also, while at other studios students are respectfully quiet in the room before class, at this studio talking (sometimes even loudly across the room) is very much the norm before class. The studio space itself presents some problems. It is a very busy with a lot of competition among students for space. Having three rows makes it difficult for everyone to have visual access to the front mirror. There is only one bathroom and it is INSIDE the studio itself (rather than in the lobby area). Additionally, It is very regular occurrence here for students go to the bathroom in the middle of class. Again, very distracting and another symptom of the rather unfocused environment encouraged at this studio. I've been a regular Bikram practitioner for about 16 months. I started at this studio, but soon became frustrated with the elements mentioned above. I decided to try the South Pasadena studio and have pretty much stayed there since (while only about 10 miles away, it's a world apart in terms of physical environment, teaching practice, and student culture. Personally, I think it's a far better choice for those who like to really focus and get into the practice. I do like the men's changing room at Pasadena better than the one at South Pas. It's nice that there is carpet on the floor in it to absorb the sweat. The Pasadena lobby area is also a pretty cheerful and comfortable place to relax before and after class. read more

The studio smells like ass when you walk in but give it five minutes. You can't smell it after that. I've been to the studio in Silver Lake and there is no comparison. I just prefer the instructors here. They are tough but very encouraging. My favorite instructor will have to be Jeff. His voice and dialog makes me concentrate harder and he somehow makes the class fun. read more

This was my first experience with Bikram Yoga, and to my surprise, the instructors do not appreciate it if you just lie there for the first few sessions. I was told that they wouldn't mind. You're supposed to be able to lie there for the first few sessions to acclamate your body to the heat. It's not lazyness, this is what the practice requires. But the instructors are so rude about it. I love this Bikram Yoga studio. The teachers are fab and the students are young and in such excellent shapes. I honestly feel that I'm not worthy when I'm naked with them in the changing room. I can't help but oogle their flat stomachs. I have to say, they serve as such inspiration models for me. I may not be 21 anymore, but I really think that the more I practice Bikram Yoga, the younger and healthier I will feel. I have a desk job where I'm in front of the computer all day. When I'm home, I'm yelping all night. (Heh!) My neck and shoulders really suffer, and a lot of my co-workers have neck and back problems. To me, a session of Bikram yoga erases those muscle memories so much better than a session of massage can. For that reason alone it's worth coming here to withstand the heat. Plus a session of Bikram Yoga happens to be MUCH cheaper than a session of massage as well. I don't know... seems like a win-win situation if you ask me! Bikram Yoga is not for everyone though.. call them and sign up for the new students offer ($15 unlimited visits in one week) and try it out. See if this is for you. Hot Yoga Pasadena is the hottest Yoga Studio in town! It's my home away from home... Where I can be who I am and achieve all that is waiting for me. As you walk in the front door you know this is where you should be. Luxurious locker room, free flowing filtered water fountain to refill your bottle, excellent instructors, clean and sparkling place where you can practice the original 90 minute Bikram Yoga, the way it's supposed to be. Continuing education provided so that you can gain insight and knowledge. Val knows what makes a yoga studio Rock and she does it with style. read more

Some co-workers and I took advantage of their 1 month unlimited membership for around $40. We went about 4 times a week and all of us LOVED it. The teachers are so nice and helpful and will give you gentle guidance throughout the class as well as praise if you are doing well. They made us all feel super comfortable and encouraged us to continue with our Bikram practices. The only downside of this place is that the changing rooms are literally the size of a closet and there are no showers. After 90 minutes in a room that is over 100 degrees, I kind of want at least a rinse and to not bump butts with women twice my age. Otherwise, this place is great. read more

I love this place. I began coming here last November and am addicted. The teachers here are phenomenal as well as the owner, Val. The patrons here are friendly and dedicated. Being a teacher, working full time, and mom of three makes it near to impossible for me to focus on self care. This place has the flexibility for me to come at night after the kids are asleep, and early in the morning on the weekends. I simply feel rejuvenated after a class and just love how this practice adds to my well being. I'm a better mom, wife and teacher because of this practice. This place is awesome. I have been practicing Bikram Yoga on and off for about three years now and have frequented only two studios: this one here and Funky Door Yoga in Berkeley. I started with Funky Door and thought that there was something wrong with me because I couldn't get the desired sweat I heard all about. Then I went to Bikram Yoga Pasadena and really fell in love with the studio. To respond to some of the complaints below: YES, the teachers can sometimes be like drill sargeants. But they never push you beyond what they know you are capable of. They are very observant, they ask questions, they see whats wrong and push you to a point where it might hurt but where they know you can reach. Plus, they're there to support you and will always answer any questions you might have. YES, the room is kinda funky. Bikram Yoga is designed to make you SWEAT! I hate it when the room is not hot enough to really warm up my muscles and let me get into my deepest stretch. This studio is unique in that a lot of people do come here and due to its southern california location, I think it makes the room a little bit more humid than other studios. Still, thats what makes this studio so great. It really helps you get into your stretches and really get the most from your workout. Personally, I know that I've gone farther in my stretches than I ever thought I could in this room and this room alone. YES, the studio is a little "ghetto." There is only one changing room for the girls and one for the boys. There is only one bathroom. There are only hooks and no lockets. BUT, there are also shelves in the actual yoga room where you can bring in any valuable things like keys, wallets, or phones (just make sure to keep your phone on silent). Also, they lock the doors as soon as the classes start, so no one can really come in to simply grab your stuff. Plus, everyone there students and staff alike are polite and really respectful. I don't believe there has ever been a theft there. Plus, with the lack of extra stuff - it really allows you to come into the studio, do what you came to do and get out. It's a yoga studio, people, not a spa. YES, the rooms are kind of crowded and sometimes people walk in late. But, I still must say that everyone there knows one another and are really polite and friendly. With more people there, the room is hotter and it is tougher to find space but for the most part the energy is better. In a crowded room, you don't want to be the only one sitting so you push yourself to keep working like everyone else. Sometimes people do walk in late but its never more than 15 minutes. And how sorry would you all feel if you just missed your class by 15 minutes, and couldn't enter and had to wait for another 1.5 hours. I think the teachers are simply trying to be nice and respectful to everyone and their practice. All in all, I love this studio and as long as I live relatively near by. Sorry folks, this place sucks for Bikram. The instructor, Liz, was incredibly antagonistic and I couldn't wait to get away from her negative energy. I usually love Bikram and so while I was visiting Pasadena, I decided to check this place out. I'll never go back and I come to Pasadena often. She seemed to be annoyed that new people even dared show up! She did her best to make me feel very unwelcomed. I'm a bit late in writing my review since I took i went in December 2011, however I felt I needed to regardless of how late it is. I only gave it 3 stars not because of the teacher (I loved him Jeff taught us that day and thought he was funny and witty) and I personally like dry senses of humor and would take him again and again if it weren't for the smell. Its a carpeted room and the smell is overwhelming and stifling & if you have have asthma you're going to pay dearly with poor breathing the next few days, and its all to do with the stink. I can't imagine that its not harmful as far as germs and mildew because not only are you sweating but 15 others are dripping in sweat onto the carpeting and I'm pretty sure its not cleaned daily with a shampooer. I want to go back, but can't help but think that its a haven for ringworm or some other kind of fungus or some other disgusting germ that is contagious by all the sweat, humidity and uncleanliness. Get rid of that carpeting and you will have many more fans who come back! i would even pay $10 more if $$ is the issue charge a bit more, put some wood flooring down please! An amazing workout would pay more and would go all the time if it weren't for the disgusting carpeting and the smell and the thought of me contracting some disgusting airborne illness, fungus or worse! read more

Great yoga studio. Of the few Bikram yoga studios I've checked out, this one definitely has the least-smelly carpets (which I realize is not a big deal to serious yoga practitioners but is a pretty big issue for me). I've taken classes with three different instructors thusfar, and all of them have been great - very good with giving correction in a very supportive manner. The workouts are challenging - but I have never felt better after a workout then when I do Bikram. The only reason I docked a star is because the dressing-room is wayyy too small for the size of the studio/ number of people and same thing with the bathroom (only one). That said, I understand they will be opening their new studio shortly (beginning of Feb '13), which is supposed to have really nice carpets, twice-daily cleaning service, a sophisticated heating/ ventilation system, etc. I'll probably have to up my review to 5 stars once I check it out. read more

The two great things about this studio are the teachers and the community. The people are really friendly and supportive. I greatly enjoy the camaraderie I have with my fellow students and the friendships I've developed there. The teachers are excellent and knowledgable and lead strong classes. I've asked zillions of questions after class and every instructor has been very patient and helpful. Another one of the things I like about the Pasadena studio is that there is a culture where people take their practice seriously. I've been to studios where people wander in and out of the room, drink whenever they want, talk in class... it can be distracting! I like that the teachers encourage common courtesy and discipline in the room. I attended the class on 1/3 that Nikki attended where she had such a bad experience with Nafisa. My impression was quite a bit different than hers. I think the heat got to her and maybe she started to freak out a bit and overheat which may have colored her perception. Everyone has freaked out in a Bikram class at some point! We were in a balancing pose and if you are sitting out you are not supposed to wipe or drink as it distracts the other students that are trying to balance. I mean, if you are struggling to balance on one leg, and your dying and barely holding it together, and then you see in the mirror someone else is taking a swig of water... it's hard to stay in the pose! If you are overheating or tired, wiping sweat wastes valuable energy. Besides, it's the sweat that's cooling you! Same thing with drinking water - if you are really on the verge of passing out or puking the best thing you can do is to sit as still as possible until things calm down. Nafisa is a great teacher. She is not easy and is very direct in her corrections, but I don't think she's rude or bitchy about it. read more

This place has become a second home to me. We have a love/hate relationship. The hardest part for me has been showing up, but I do, I do everyday. It has become a very important part of my day. The staff here is awesome they really make you feel welcome! Today was my 54th day in a row, and what results those 54 days have made. I'm down about 30 lbs give or take and I feel as good as I ever had if not better. All it took was some dedication and the will to make a change! read more

I yelped but never gave a review. I have been with this studio about 8 months now and I am amazed that this studio has only 55 yelps and surprised at some of the reviews. This is a serious yoga studio with the best teachers who cares more about form vs pretty. The owner Val is caring and an amazing teacher. This place has changed my life And my family's life. We come to this practice with a open mind and leave the egos at the door. We have a very endearing group of students as well. I started with extreme stress and type two diabetes. I have reversed both and dropped nearly 60 pounds. This studio teaches the balance of mind and energy. If you want to come in prancing in your fancy workout wear and have a pretentious fancy studio with no heart move on. With each hot yoga class, my pain lessens. It's great. I recommend it highly for people with knee pain, back pain, or hip pain. A chiropractor could not bring me same degree of pain relief that I get from hot yoga. The instructors and classmates are wonderful. It's a good community. read more

I have been doing Bikram on and off depending on my financial status for over 7 years. I have been to numerous studios and they are all different. The poses are all the same but the style of the studio and the atmosphere differs greatly from place to place. The studio in Pasadena is one of my faves. It's small and feels private. If you get Jeff then you will have a great workout. He is very strict and pushes you, which I like as I am lazy. Bikram requires a lot of discipline and tenacity. It is not for the whiny or the girls who like to go to the gym with a full face of make up on and try to pick up guys. Yeah it stinks, yeah you look ugly and sweat like a man but there is nothing else that fixes my lower back like Bikram does. So if you want to push your limits and challenge yourself I recommend doing Bikram. read more

I've been a member over four years and have yet to write a yelp review because frankly I don't want to encourage more people to join an already fairly crowded studio but I feel obligated by my overwhelming sense of guilt. I haven't been to many other studios but the thing that sets bikram Pasadena apart is the diversity of its members. Old, young, skinny, rotund, white, black, Asian, male, female there is a place for everyone here. Some of the best practitioners are in their 40s and 50s and they are as humble as can be with bodies that look 20-30 years younger. You have heard the expression do not judge a book by its cover? We even have Eva (see review below) who by all accounts is pretty remarkable. She has cerebral palsy has been with us a few months and has made incredible progress in her ability to control her head and body movement. Very inspiring to watch! The cost is extremely reasonable whether you purchase individual classes or a monthly membership. There are even specials a few times a year. The amenities at the studio you won't find in many places. If you can stand the heat, give bikram yoga a try. Your body will thank you. I know mine has! read more

This studio is AWESOME!!! The instructors / students / EVERYONE is so positive and so real - I absolutely loved it!! I have been a fan of Bikram for a long time now - I love the workout and I love to push myself, but the studio I was at before had a very weird vibe (too negative and too hard on their students). Pasadena Bikram is strict, but in a PERFECT way. They still like to laugh and they definitely give off a positive, friendly vibe. I learned more at the Pasadena location in 3 days than I did 5 years at the other studio - the instructors are so trained and want you to succeed! You really feel like you can work and perfect your practice. I will be going everyday! read more

Pros: Standard Bikram room, dressing area, postures, correction of form was very helpful. Cons: Told not to respect body cues to stop (pain, fatigue), lights were left on during practice (I prefer dim), instructors incessant cues left me frazzled and overwhelmed. read more

Not for me... The instructor was wonderful... but the SMELL IS OUT OF CONTROL... I mean that... The smell is so bad I wanted to throw up. I've heard other studios have a special floor the helps this, but the carpet at this studio is just not working out. Something needs to be done. read more

I really love this yoga studio. The classes at Hot Yoga Pasadena are fantastic, the teachers are very informative, and the owner, who taught the first ever class i attended was very helpful and cognizant of keeping tabs one me and offering support throughout the entire class. read more

Best Bikram Yoga Studio ever! Super clean and friendly. I highly recommend going. It is my first experience with Bikram and will not be my last. I feel mentally awesome after the class. There are an array of classes daily to choose from to fit into anyone's busy schedule. read more

Val, my experience at your studio yesterday was by far the worst I ever experience. You demonstrated a lack of professionalism and lack of humanity. The manner in the way you spoke to us what disturbing. Your studio is unsanitary. The shower is dirty. The studio smell so bad and I developed a skin rash after just spending 3 minutes in the studio. This was to be a special time for my daughter and I. She is home from college for a few days after her father passing of pancreatic cancer. read more

This was my first time doing any kind of yoga other than the stretches from an insanity workout. I'm not naturally athletic, but managed to navigate my first class with some great encouragement from the instructor. Everyone else was encouraging and helpful and friendly. My biggest fear is that everyone would be perfect and I would be the only amateur, but that was not the case at all. It doesn't matter what level you are I think you will be comfortable here. As good as it gets! The staff is really nice & the facilities are more than up to par.

I just got back from my first hot yoga class and I didn't last 5 minutes, I believe it's not for everyone, I felt the heat was too much for me and didn't go well with my claustrophobia (not of small spaces but of feeling I don't have enough air)... although they do not offer free first classes the front desk reimbursed me without me even asking. So the 5 stars is for the good karma, honest type of business they choose to be. read more

Hot Yoga Pasadena is such a gift. It is clean, they have amazing teachers and also offer some special classes. I've been going to this studio for 4 years and practicing for close to 8 years. There is no other studio like this that promotes health and wellbeing and also community. So many of my closest friends are from this studio and I am so grateful for it.
