    Downtown view from our room.

Stayed here in October 2013 as part of our honeymoon for 5 nights and had a fantastic experience! The service was spectacular, the elevators have the nice security feature of requiring a room key and our 5th floor room was quiet, modern, comfortable and large. The only night the club was loud was Saturday and I expect that is a problem for people on the 2nd and 3rd floor rooms, but it was completely unnoticed on our 5th floor room. Location is great- St. Laurent has a plethora of restaurants and clubs. If you're up for a run, it's quick to Old Montreal. A metro station is a 5 minute walk away that gives access to the rat of the city. Only one negative experience was my last night; my wake up call for 4:45 AM occurred at 5:22 and the night auditor tried to convince me it was 4:45 "according to his phone." Then he immediately called me back to tell me my cab arrived so when I went down, we had a chat and he admitted it wasn't 4:45 when he called and that he couldn't because he was "too busy." I loved this hotel, but this guy's excuses were lame and could have cost me making my flight, thus knocking off the 5th star.

Beautiful hotel! It just makes you happy walking in! Very artsy and beautiful rooms. Loved the outside courtyard. Loved all the details in decor! Located right on the heart of all kinds of things to do. (Bars & restaurants)

Impressed with Hotel 10 centrally located in Montreal. Beautiful, modern yet cozy interior. The lobby was spacious and had a full service bar/lounge. The two sets of elevator doors were always opened and ready for hotel guests to be taken to their floors. There was an outdoor lounge connected to the bar and during the evenings became a chill area equipped with music. Not sure if an actual dj was spinning music, but even though my room was directly above the outdoor lounge, the music was not annoying. The room muted the sound enough so that I can get a good night's sleep. The room decor mimicked the lobby, i.e., both modern and cozy. The bed was comfortable and roomy even though it was a queen. The pillows and sheets were cottony white and clean! There was complimentary buffet breakfast/brunch during my stay...not your usually Hotel hot breakfast.....but of course, there was a French flair added! I can't rave enough about this gourmet breakfast brunch. On my first time, the Chef introduced himself and gave a nice tour of the choices that were available that morning. You must try the croissant/muffin french toast! I repeat the croissant/muffin french toast! Only served twice during my four breakfasts/brunch treks. I didn't even feel like I was missing out about wandering to other nearby eateries for breakfast. The breakfast brunch dining area was so lovely, again roomy, modern, cozy and again with the French flair! I always gave a few dollars tip; always appreciated by Chef and staff. Directly across the hotel was a Tim Horten's located inside the convenience store of a gas station. Fear not! The store was not sketchy at all, nor were the folks. It was clean and food was fresh. The donuts were so yummy. I realized on my last day there that just a few short blocks away, was an area full of eateries and shops. I was informed that many ex-pats lived here. I recommend staying at Hotel 10! Free Wifi during your stay; once you check out Wifi is no more, so make sure you do your social media posting prior to checking out. Staff was courteous and friendly, amenities clean and tasty, ensuring a pleasant stay.

Last minute decision to finally drive to Montreal brought me to Hotel10 - thank you hoteltonight app. (I mean it was either that or watch Honeymooners reruns all weekend - Montreal won). The location is perfect - walking distance from old town and port, right next to St Laurent with all its restaurants and bars, and close to St Denis if you want to do some shopping. Design is modern chic, which I always loved. Complimentary bath robe, oversized rain umbrella and huuuuge shower are big plus. Keurig coffeemaker in the room is cool too. It also pretty quiet - polished concrete ceilings (darn kewl), carpeted floors, and covered walls - good soundproofing. I saw college kids with party supplies go to room next door and was prepared for much noise - did not hear a peep. Garage parking is convenient, and I am tipping my hat to most awesome valet. Free wifi - good speed. Huge gym room, clean, spotless, with fresh towels and ice cold water. Breakfast is Ok-ish, I rather prefer eating elsewhere. However, Jargo lounge at night is pretty decent to grab a drink or dinner. One word to management and my only disappointment - is how they maintain it. Carpets on ground level need cleaning, headboards need to be dusted, and hairdryer bags need to be cleaned. I don't enjoy finding other peoples hair there.

This is a great property, love the fresh style and it includes breakfast with our company agreement. Rooms are nicely appointed and modern, just needs a little more light. The staff especially in the restaurant was amazing along with the buffet which serves hot, cold and fresh fruit. It has a bar which I didn't try but looked very friendly and bright. Check in and out staff at the front desk were extremely helpful especially the door men and bell men. When I visit Montreal again I will ensure that I stay here. Taking into consideration of the strong US currency, this is a fantastic deal for any US visitor. It is not right in downtown but close walking distance to a ton of eateries especially Sumi Dojo which you can read my review. I don't think you will go wrong in visiting and staying at this nicely appointed hotel.

The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. They also had a nice outdoor area where we had a beer after a long day walking around. The location is good for walking all around the city. Unfortunately it's also close enough to a fire/police station that we heard sirens all night. Theres also a lot of party people on the streets. I live in chicago so I'm used to normal city noise and occasional cops rolling buy, but this was happening a lot. There is also a group of junkies on the corner trying to get money from washing windshields. I realize this isn't the hotels fault, but hearing people yelling CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN all night does not make for an enjoyable stay. Overall it wasn't bad, but there are probably better options.

Despite what Priceline, Travelocity etc say this is NOT a 4-STAR hotel. My bad for trying to get an online deal....Motel 10 is not for business travelers or long term guests....my review based on 4 nights in an amazing city: Positives: - The Valet will take you upon request to most places within a 5 mile radius...even to the stadium for a hockey game! You need to find your own way back. - The rooms are large with lots of workspace - Location - can walk to several lo-mid priced restaurants - next trip I will opt for old Montreal for sure, closer to better restaurants - I get the feeling the staff would be more helpful if they could - comfortable bedding - free wifi BUMMERS (in no order as they are numerous) - $30 parking - lack of housekeeping - they basically come in and change the sheets (well I think they do). They leave water for purchase but do not replenish it or even remove empty bottles. I had it finally ask for more water. See my attached pics, bathroom in rough shape with shower walls not scrubbed. Pretty sure they do not vacuum or sweep as dirt and dust on floors and corners. - Room Service - get this....you can order from a limited menu but that menu does not include beer or wine. If you want beer or wine you have to go downstairs to the bar and bring it up to your room....but don't forget your credit card like I did because you can't charge anything from the bar to your room. It gets worse...first night I ordered salmon, the food was cold by the time I got it but was so burnt out from a brutal day at work I ate it anyway. The bar is crap, zero selection, despite the fact that they display all kinds of wines. The wine I had tasted like it had been open for a week. Make sure to stay on the side of the hotel farthest away from the nightclub, although I did have some guy banging on my door one evening. Really miserable experience..... Buyer beware.

Checking in was very easy and they even said they were expecting me, which was very refreshing after the last hotel I stayed in for business, which was the Hilton in Richmond, VA at Short Pump in which the staff was very condescending and poor at checking people in, especially business travelers. This place definitely took great care at check in to make sure I felt welcomed, including asking me if I had any questions. She went over everything I needed to know about the property. When I got to the room I was impressed with the size of it - it was pretty large, with lots of open space, a decent desk, plenty of seating, and a very nice, clean, and comfortable bed which was fitted with ironed sheets! The TV in the room was disproportionately small and their streaming channel options were limited, but I made the best of it, as it's mostly background noise while I'm working anyway. The location is decent, only a couple of blocks from the Rue Sainte-Catherine shopping and dining area, which also has the Complexe Desjardins (a mall). There's a Metro station a block away as well. They have a decent size gym with all the normal stuff and a pretty nice, two-level lounge for those with access via their loyalty level. Overall, I'm enjoying the stay here and would return!

One standout was the gym, which is much better than what you typically find in hotels, with multiple treadmills, a stair stepper, ellipticals, and a solid selection of weights. They also have a two lane indoor pool and an indoor hot tub, which were nice added amenities. I especially appreciated that my room had a patio, it was great being able to get some fresh air. The only downside was the noise. There were very loud neighbours in the hallway with screaming and music playing until around 11:30 pm. I contacted the front desk and was told security would be sent up, but no one came and the noise continued past midnight. Overall, a solid hotel with great amenities, but the lack of follow through on the noise issue was disappointing.

You can take the 747 bus directly from the airport to this hotel, but it's t will take around 40 ish mins or so. If you decide to rent a car, parking is at this hotel $30 CAD a day to keep your car parked. When purchasing your metro tickets from the airport, there is a machine that you will purchase it from. Just get the non-rechargeable ticket for 24 hours for $11 CAD. It will NOT take American Credit Cards or American money. It has to be a Canadian Credit Card or HAVE Canadian cash. I can say that this hotel is conveniently located on the edge of Quartier Des Spectacles, just a couple of blocks from The Gay Village & about 3 blocks from Chinatown. It's a walking distance between both and areas. It's only two or three blocks from the Orange Line, Yellow Line, and Green Line of the metro. The rooms are kind of small, but great if all you're doing is just sleeping there. There is so to do in the area. Downfalls are: there is no coin laundry. However, there is a plastic bag in your closet that you can put your dirty laundry in. Take it downstairs to the front desk and pay them $20 CAD for them to do your laundry. Your cloths will be ready the next day in the afternoon and folded for you. You will have to pick a your laundry from the front desk. Your bedroom will ONLY be cleaned EVERY OTHER DAY. So, don't expect them to clean your room everyday. If you need extra towels, you will have to call down to the front desk or just pick them up from the front desk. Breakfast is NOT included as part of your stay like it is in the United States or America, unless you choose that options or pay extra when booking. Another downfall is that, at the time I was here, they only had two fans. One was broken and the other, someone else had. We stayed here for 6 nights and every night we kept asking for a fan, which of course they did NOT have. They kept trying to fix the A/C, but what we really needed was air circulation. Most hotels have or keep extra fans for their guests. Just note that if you need a fan for air circulation and comfort, you may not get one. So just take cold showers. There is no microwave or coffee maker in your room. There is however a small refrigerator there. They have a good coffee maker downstairs, tea, water foundation, microwave, and dinning area you can eat at. The front desk will have plastic utensils if you ask them for some. There is a gym, extra restrooms, vending machines, and ice on the "M" floor. The staff are ALL really nice! They had great customer service and had no problems with them. Their customer service alone was a five star. And again, this hotel is very conveniently located.

Let's start with cleanliness. The room is outdated, beat up, and was bordering on filthy. See the attached pics featuring the desk chair. I happened to be in a street facing room so there is the occasional bit of noise, but that wasn't a problem. Then there's the temperature. In one of the hottest weeks Montréal has seen so far this summer, my air conditioning unit was practically non-functional. The temperature in my room regularly topped out at 26 degrees. The young man at the front desk was happy to come reset the unit (I want to add here that the lobby air conditioning also seemed to be non-functional, horrible for the staff) and it briefly cooled down to a to a tolerable 22. Same song and dance the next day, where I had to go buy a fan from Best Buy in an attempt to get more than a few hours of decent sleep. No one ever followed up with me to see if things were improved, so I had to approach the front desk again. The same nice young gentleman came to my room, fiddled with the display for the AC for a few minutes, and I had a blissful night at 21.5 degrees. One night. I'm currently on night 6 (thank god, the last one) of my stay and it's 26 degrees. Never was I offered a different room, I had to ask (and none were available), never did they try to get a repairman into the room, nothing. It's made my stay here horrible. The hotel is located in a dodgy part of Rue Saint-Catherine. Red lights district with a visible unhoused population, and as a solo female traveler I experienced some harassment coming to and leaving from the hotel. I wouldn't feel safe being out after dark here. During the day it's relatively convenient to metro lines and a reasonable walk from local attractions. For a chain, I expect better. The staff was nice enough but there are no standards. Guests bang around at all hours of the night and you can feel vibrations through the walls. The AC panel blazes a bright blue light into the room all night, making it impossible to sleep unless you're knocked out or wear an eye mask. The hotel itself is worn and dingy. I didn't even try the breakfast for fear of wasting a vacation day on the toilet. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
