We stayed at the Hyatt Centric while touring around Montreal, and the location was perfect. It's in a great spot for tourists--easy to walk to nearby attractions or hop on public transportation. The hotel has a modern, industrial vibe with its concrete walls in the bathrooms and hallways. We had a king room, which wasn't very large, so it felt a bit tight if you're planning to spend a lot of time in the room instead of sightseeing. That said, the shower had plenty of water pressure, which was a big plus. One of the highlights is the rooftop pool, which offers fantastic views of the city. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again

Chic, Central, and So Montreal I loved my stay at the Hyatt Centric Montreal. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this hotel is something special--modern, beautifully designed, and full of sleek, thoughtful details that make it feel more boutique than chain. The decor blends contemporary comfort with a nod to Montreal's artistic flair. It's the kind of place that feels both stylish and welcoming at the same time. The location is absolutely perfect--you're right in the heart of Old Montreal, within easy walking distance to everything: cobblestone streets, the waterfront, galleries, restaurants, and even local markets. It's ideal whether you're in town for sightseeing, food adventures, or just soaking in the European charm of the city. The rooms? Gorgeous. Big windows, tons of natural light, comfy beds, and smart layouts that make it feel spacious and luxurious. I also appreciated the little details: high-end toiletries, cozy robes, and lightning-fast Wi-Fi. Everything was spotless and fresh. The staff were genuinely kind and helpful, offering great suggestions for nearby food and things to do. There's also a fantastic rooftop terrace and bar that gives you a great view of the city--perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The view from our room was beautiful Whether it's your first time in Montreal or your tenth, Hyatt Centric is perfect, central, beautiful, and full of good energy. Highly recommend for travelers who appreciate aesthetics and location.

Beautiful hotel and room overlooking the courtyard of a historic building. Location was excellent, in easy walking distance to Old Montreal restaurants and shopping. The staff were very nice, accommodating our desire for a very late checkout for a nominal fee and quickly addressing an issue we had with the internet service.

Great spot walking distance from most attractions in port area. Located in a quiet area of town, convenient to all parkways and walking distance from the old port this is a great spot to base yourself on a visit to Montreal. Rooms are spacious and clean, lobby bar and restaurant accommodating, perfectly safe, very nice room views

Very good location. Close to old Montreal and walking distance to almost everything. Beautiful modern hotel. Workers are very friendly. Good food and a lot of selection inside restaurant. Bed is comfy, pillows and quiet and nice view from our room. We'll be back again and I recommend this hotel to everyone.

Beautiful new Hyatt hotel in the Old Port area of Montreal next to first railway station in Canada. Our room was spacious and clean. The comfortable eclectic lobby and Cartier Arms restaurant were an unexpected bonus. Every staff member we met was customer focused and exceptional. Enjoy your stay.

First time at a Hyatt Centric Ville Marie Montreal and we loved it! Preferred this one instead of Hyatt Place, even though Hyatt Place came with breakfast. They do have a restaurant on site but we were so close to some really good eating places. Entrance is on an overpass which gives a feel of being in your own castle of sorts. Prime location - 20 min walk to the Basilica, archeology museum, dozens of very good restaurants and coffee shops. If you are coming from the cruise port, take Uber, it's far to walk with luggage. Front desk was very accommodating and took care of us from when we arrived early. If you are touring here for the first time, like us, stay here.

I live in Montreal, so I didn't try any of the rooms in there. I was attending a small event on the rooftop & absolutely loved the views & the food I ordered! Also, this hotel's design is aesthetically pleasing...

Checking in was very easy and they even said they were expecting me, which was very refreshing after the last hotel I stayed in for business, which was the Hilton in Richmond, VA at Short Pump in which the staff was very condescending and poor at checking people in, especially business travelers. This place definitely took great care at check in to make sure I felt welcomed, including asking me if I had any questions. She went over everything I needed to know about the property. When I got to the room I was impressed with the size of it - it was pretty large, with lots of open space, a decent desk, plenty of seating, and a very nice, clean, and comfortable bed which was fitted with ironed sheets! The TV in the room was disproportionately small and their streaming channel options were limited, but I made the best of it, as it's mostly background noise while I'm working anyway. The location is decent, only a couple of blocks from the Rue Sainte-Catherine shopping and dining area, which also has the Complexe Desjardins (a mall). There's a Metro station a block away as well. They have a decent size gym with all the normal stuff and a pretty nice, two-level lounge for those with access via their loyalty level. Overall, I'm enjoying the stay here and would return!

One standout was the gym, which is much better than what you typically find in hotels, with multiple treadmills, a stair stepper, ellipticals, and a solid selection of weights. They also have a two lane indoor pool and an indoor hot tub, which were nice added amenities. I especially appreciated that my room had a patio, it was great being able to get some fresh air. The only downside was the noise. There were very loud neighbours in the hallway with screaming and music playing until around 11:30 pm. I contacted the front desk and was told security would be sent up, but no one came and the noise continued past midnight. Overall, a solid hotel with great amenities, but the lack of follow through on the noise issue was disappointing.

You can take the 747 bus directly from the airport to this hotel, but it's t will take around 40 ish mins or so. If you decide to rent a car, parking is at this hotel $30 CAD a day to keep your car parked. When purchasing your metro tickets from the airport, there is a machine that you will purchase it from. Just get the non-rechargeable ticket for 24 hours for $11 CAD. It will NOT take American Credit Cards or American money. It has to be a Canadian Credit Card or HAVE Canadian cash. I can say that this hotel is conveniently located on the edge of Quartier Des Spectacles, just a couple of blocks from The Gay Village & about 3 blocks from Chinatown. It's a walking distance between both and areas. It's only two or three blocks from the Orange Line, Yellow Line, and Green Line of the metro. The rooms are kind of small, but great if all you're doing is just sleeping there. There is so to do in the area. Downfalls are: there is no coin laundry. However, there is a plastic bag in your closet that you can put your dirty laundry in. Take it downstairs to the front desk and pay them $20 CAD for them to do your laundry. Your cloths will be ready the next day in the afternoon and folded for you. You will have to pick a your laundry from the front desk. Your bedroom will ONLY be cleaned EVERY OTHER DAY. So, don't expect them to clean your room everyday. If you need extra towels, you will have to call down to the front desk or just pick them up from the front desk. Breakfast is NOT included as part of your stay like it is in the United States or America, unless you choose that options or pay extra when booking. Another downfall is that, at the time I was here, they only had two fans. One was broken and the other, someone else had. We stayed here for 6 nights and every night we kept asking for a fan, which of course they did NOT have. They kept trying to fix the A/C, but what we really needed was air circulation. Most hotels have or keep extra fans for their guests. Just note that if you need a fan for air circulation and comfort, you may not get one. So just take cold showers. There is no microwave or coffee maker in your room. There is however a small refrigerator there. They have a good coffee maker downstairs, tea, water foundation, microwave, and dinning area you can eat at. The front desk will have plastic utensils if you ask them for some. There is a gym, extra restrooms, vending machines, and ice on the "M" floor. The staff are ALL really nice! They had great customer service and had no problems with them. Their customer service alone was a five star. And again, this hotel is very conveniently located.

Let's start with cleanliness. The room is outdated, beat up, and was bordering on filthy. See the attached pics featuring the desk chair. I happened to be in a street facing room so there is the occasional bit of noise, but that wasn't a problem. Then there's the temperature. In one of the hottest weeks Montréal has seen so far this summer, my air conditioning unit was practically non-functional. The temperature in my room regularly topped out at 26 degrees. The young man at the front desk was happy to come reset the unit (I want to add here that the lobby air conditioning also seemed to be non-functional, horrible for the staff) and it briefly cooled down to a to a tolerable 22. Same song and dance the next day, where I had to go buy a fan from Best Buy in an attempt to get more than a few hours of decent sleep. No one ever followed up with me to see if things were improved, so I had to approach the front desk again. The same nice young gentleman came to my room, fiddled with the display for the AC for a few minutes, and I had a blissful night at 21.5 degrees. One night. I'm currently on night 6 (thank god, the last one) of my stay and it's 26 degrees. Never was I offered a different room, I had to ask (and none were available), never did they try to get a repairman into the room, nothing. It's made my stay here horrible. The hotel is located in a dodgy part of Rue Saint-Catherine. Red lights district with a visible unhoused population, and as a solo female traveler I experienced some harassment coming to and leaving from the hotel. I wouldn't feel safe being out after dark here. During the day it's relatively convenient to metro lines and a reasonable walk from local attractions. For a chain, I expect better. The staff was nice enough but there are no standards. Guests bang around at all hours of the night and you can feel vibrations through the walls. The AC panel blazes a bright blue light into the room all night, making it impossible to sleep unless you're knocked out or wear an eye mask. The hotel itself is worn and dingy. I didn't even try the breakfast for fear of wasting a vacation day on the toilet. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

There were plenty of options including oatmeal, cereals, fresh bagels, assorted meats and cheeses, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, a variety of fruit, juices, milk, coffee and tea. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with a full kitchen and cozy dining area, VERY comfortable bed(s), a big bath tub, and good views. I slept very well every night and was never disrupted by hotel sounds. There is also a rooftop gym and while small, has enough equipment to get the job done.
