Beautiful and very relaxing hot tubs!
    Brian H.

Hotel Canoe and Suites is an amazing property and very well equipped. Located in the heart of Banff this hotel truly is a wonderful place to stay while staying in the area. Their hot tubs should not be missed as it is truly a spectacular amenity and very relaxing. Breakfast at the restaurant was wonderful and the rooms and beds were great for our family. 5 stars easily and thank you to the staff for a truly remarkable stay!

AMAZING spot to stay in Banff!! The staff was lovely, the room and amenities were perfect, and just our favorite home away from home on our vacation!

We loved this hotel! The rooms are huge and they actually have AC that works! That sounds weird but the hotel that we stayed at beforehand was really small and had no AC, it was closer to downtown but we were so uncomfortable. This hotel is really far from town, but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel and they give you tickets to ride the bus for free so that you can take it closer to downtown if you do not have a car. But if you take your car downtown, you will have to pay for parking so you might as well just leave your car there. The staff was really great checking us in. The restaurant staff was always a little slow for breakfast and we went there once for dinner, but I believe that is separate. I'm not sure. So slow. The pool and hot tub area while it looks really big from the photos, it's actually smaller in person and it was always packed at the end of the day, which was annoying. And there were kids around. I didn't wanna hang around screaming kids at the end of the day. They do have laundry, which we used at one point, but there was always a line for it. After we washed ours, there was a line of three people after us. And the washer leaked all over the floor. So they really need more washers and dryers in this hotel....

I booked this place from Expedia probably based upon good pricing for a family of four. This was one of the best hotels I have stayed at in quite a while. It is clean and modern and located perfectly for our trip. It is a bit away from the real hustle of the Town, but a short bus ride into Town for whatever activities you are doing in Banff. This means you wake up each day to the peace of the mountains and fabulous views. I thought it was perfectly located because they give you free passes for Roam Transit which takes you on the main local routes( 1, 2, 4, 6). The bus stops in both directions right in front of the hotel. Because it is the first stop into town, you will always have a seat on the bus. You will find that the bus gets packed as you get further into town and we felt like royalty to always have seats going to whichever activity in Banff we were headed. This made transportation a breeze for our stay in Banff. The staff was so friendly and courteous. They helped us with whatever we needed and answered all our questions on how to navigate our time in Banff. I loved the cute personal touch of picking your coffee or tea to brew in your hotel room each morning. I think this works great for people who are leaving on their adventures at the crack of dawn. They only have one restaurant in the hotel which serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. We didn't eat there at all mainly because the menu didn't attract us and we were usually out and about in Town for meals. The room was spacious. Our balcony had a beautiful Mountain View. The beds were firm but so comfortable and the pillows were amazing. Housekeeping was meticulous and kept the room so spic/span. Parking was free. WiFi was excellent and included in the cost. You should know they are undergoing some construction as of June 2024, but it didn't spoil our stay. They are putting in a hot tub and laundry, but I'm not sure when that will open. We thoroughly loved our time at Hotel Canoe and would definitely come back again if we are ever in the area.

Hi-ya! Moose suites…read morewas a great hotel. It's super clean, good staff and next to the Roam transit and shopping areas. When you first walk in the lobby check in area is next to the large sitting area with a big fireplace that is hot enough to warm you but not make the place uncomfortable. The rooms are very well maintained and so are the walkways, fitness center, sauna, jacuzzis (2 large ones) and pool. The restaurant that is nothing the hotel we didn't eat at, but I ordered and old fashioned and it was good and strong, but no black cherry, but that was fine. The sauna was so clean and it felt great to warm up more in the mornings and relax in the jacuzzis after a hike in the evenings. The jets were powerful and the views from that area overlook the the mountains and the gondola an Norquay. This hotel was great, only one thing really, the laundry room at 2 washers and 2 dryers which were of good quality, but one was down. We stayed here for 6 days and i thought that was a good amount of time without it becoming too day to day feeling. 5 stars because we had a great time there AND they provided loaner bear sprays for all of us. I don't know if they can do it for everyone, but that saves you at lease 35 bucks for each spray that you can't take back in the flight if you do t use (and don't check bags). That was an amazing food convenience.

I guess I'm not Canadian, and I got used to it, but having a bit more wind protection on the exterior walkways would have been nice - or warmer robes.... Not an issue in summer and not a huge deal in winter but worth knowing. 2) Restaurant isn't great. Mid level chain place. Much better options in town. Staff great loved the spacious rooms and ski lockers.

So he drove us into Banff NP. We stopped at Lake Louise, Johnston Canyon, Vermillion Lakes, the cascade falls, and then we began driving to the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. What an absolutely beautiful hotel in one of Nature's most breathtaking masterpieces. The beautiful earth-toned cream colored hotel climbs from the lower mountain side and stands beautifully amongst the tall pines surrounding it. We made our way to the Vermillion Bar, where are post worked back in his college days, and were greeted by a super sweet server, Ayala, who lit up whenever she laughed and smiled with you. We enjoyed cocktails, beef, tartare, veggie Credit, charred, avocado, and a unique presentation of hot wings I've never had before - the actual wing that has two bones in it was pre-cut down the middle so you were served the 2 halves as their own individual wing. Great flavors and it was very unique and enjoyable. All of it was delicious and undeniably yummy, and fairly priced for such an elegant location. We were expecting a much higher price point and were delightfully surprised to see that even though it is a luxury location, it was not price gouging or ridiculously inflated that one often finds in so many other locations that are "elegant or nice". If you have the opportunity to treat yourself to a very beautiful sunset under the majestic Mount Rundle, and want to enjoy a modern setting in a historic landmark, this is absolutely a visit you must make while in Banff National Park. Thank you Ayala for treating us so well, and sharing your sweet Australian journey with us. Chris, David, Trisha, and Keith

Lots of seating outside and I really enjoyed sitting outside and reading. They also offer board games to play and have a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, so many options of where you can be. They have a full bar with a nice selection. Delicious happy hour wine deals! I love their red wines. The food is really good here too. They have a really nice breakfast buffet and it's included with your room. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, yogurt, juices, pastries, and more. The bar serves snacks and other food throughout the day and evening. I really enjoyed their charcuterie board. So fresh and delicious. Our room/suite was very spacious. Two queen beds and a living room area with a sofa and fire place. The beds were pretty comfortable but not amazing. We had a microwave and refrigerator, and I loved the espresso machine. We also had a dining table. The bathroom had lovely shampoo, conditioner, and body wash from a local company. My only suggestion is that I wish we had more storage options to unpack our clothes. There were some hangers to hang a few items and there was 1 drawer in the nightstand. I wish we had a dresser. Excellent and friendly staff. I really enjoyed the vibe of this place. I would definitely stay here again.
