My husband and I stayed here for a night out way back home from Valle De Guadalupe and I wish we would have stayed longer! Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, with plenty of room to spread out after long days of eating our way through Ensenada and wine tasting in the valley. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the pool is amazing. Service throughout the property was warm and welcoming. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to want guests to enjoy their stay. One thing I appreciate about Coral & Marina is that it offers a different vibe than the large resort-style properties further south. It feels quieter, more relaxed, and more authentically Ensenada. It's the kind of place where you can spend the morning at the spa, the afternoon exploring fish taco stands and wineries, and the evening watching the sunset over the marina with a glass of Baja wine. The place was pretty decent. Nice area, pool marina etc. Here are the negatives We got dinner at the restaurant. Food was really good, however we noticed there were weevils in the bread. That killed the appetite pretty quick. We also ordered wine but we did not ask for the price and they ended up pouring a very expensive bottle. It was good but make sure you ask because the bill was pretty high We also booked this place because paddle boarding was offered. When we went to rent the boards they said they were not renting them out. I was only here for one night and I enjoyed its proximity to the oceanfront in Ensenada. I hop in an Uber, and I am downtown in no time at all. The hotel faces the marina full of boats. This place is very popular, people are always coming and going. My room was actually quite large with a nice balcony facing the ocean. I had the fortune of occupying a newly renovated room. My only complaint is the amount of noise that makes its way into the room from the exterior hallway. As soon as you enter on my left by the doorway was the bedroom which had a wall and windows facing the hallway. I guess, I was fortunate because most of my neighbors were quiet and respectful. The hotel can easily solve this problem by utilizing more sound absorbing materials. The hotel's restaurant has an outstanding breakfast buffet which was the most memorable experience of my stay. It's worth staying here just for the delicious breakfast. Would I stay here again? Most definitely, the hotel's proximity and food made all of the difference. Wow!!!!!! This place is GORGEOUS!! Security so not just anyone can come in which is nice for tourist safety. This place is SOOOOOO clean. The rooms are immaculate and the customer service is great! The Jr. Suite was phenomenal and I felt like a queen. All of the amenities were so great and I wish I were able to stay longer to enjoy everything the resort had to offer. We got breakfast both mornings and I was in heaven. My two favorite things...pozole and crème brule for breakfast!!! Wow! Amazing! We had the ceviche and frankly it was the best I have EVER had!!! They are scammers. They 'promote' a stay of 3 nights without even telling you you have to attend a 2 hour presentation. We were booking our reservation when they told us that we had to attend a 2 hour presentation when they had not explained to us anything about it at the sell. We believed it was just a hotel package. When asked for a refund they started to claim it was not refundable and that it was a period of 6 months where it would expire the refund date. However, it says the voucher is available for 1 full year. Make it make sense. They will not refund you and also if you dont show up to the presentation they charge you as well! Absolutely loved our weekend here. Jesus at the front desk knew our names and said he was expecting us. The view of the marina and water was breathtaking. The pools are clean and inviting, the indoor pool was heated and well suited for lap swims. The breakfasts are amazing offering an omelette bar, grilled meats, tasty sweets and fresh squeezed Orange juice. We also ate dinner there - the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Servers were happy and attentive. We were there to celebrate the adoption of our friends' little girl. Hotel Coral & Marina was definitely one of the best hotels in Baja. The hotel was beautiful and EXTREMELY clean! There was always someone spraying and cleaning furniture and doors! The MAJORITY of the staff was extremely friendly! The front desk and hospitality team members were always smiling and willing to help. One gentleman looked to be on his way home but stopped to ask if I needed help with luggage. I was waiting for the hubby. The rooms were extremely comfortable and beautiful. Ambience and view were beautiful. The reason for the 4 stars and not the 5 Stars was truly due to the restaurant team members and their food. The first and only dinner we had there consisted of surf and turf. We ordered steak, seafood soup, pastas and enchiladas. Each dish with clams had several unopened (dead or no good clams), they kept forgetting the salsa, the soup broth was extremely salty and the enchiladas were dry. We had to as for extra enchilada sauce and they only did it for one of the plates. We spoke to the waiter, but he didn't even offer to replace the clams. In fact, he brought out the pasta dish with bad clams as well. The Sunday breakfast buffet was theeee best! They had an outdoor rotisserie of lamb, beef, oysters and array of fresh choices. Please note THE BUFFET BREAKFAST IS ONLY ON THE WEEKENDS! The regular breakfast buffet was mediocre. Nothing to brag about and choices were scarced. Not worth the $25. DO NOT CONSIDER THEIR TIME SHARE!!!! WARNING!!!! The hotel is not in great shape but the "newly" renovated rooms were passable. We purchased mostly because of the proximity to San Diego. Happy to talk to you about our experience (630) 890-9228. They completely lied about manpoints in the contract. Considering legal action. Save yourself the trouble. We paid nearly 20k three years ago. Depending on the time of year, the indoor pool cannot be enjoyed due to over crowding. It is supposed to be part of the gym, but it is invariably full of children. The water is cloudy and the adjacent hot tub is also crowded and dirty. The beach area under the pergolas by the play area is dirty and the furniture is in disrepair. No cushions, broken furniture, no place to relax. The outdoor restaurant is permanently closed. NOT a good experience. NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!!! read more

I like Ensenada for a quick easy get away and I love this hotel for its front desk staff, it's incredible daily room staff and above all when you book directly.... You get the fast pass to get back in the US with no waiting. Close to my favorite restaurants and wine tasting at Valle de Guadalupe, but you could just relax at this beautiful spot on the marina and rest. An inexpensive getaway I do about 3 times a year. Nice rooms and many come with a balcony and fabulous water view. It was the restaurant that won my heart during our most recent visit. Known for their breakfast buffet, we weren't that hungry so we ordered from the menu. 5 days later, we were still waking up with the excitement of breakfast and ordering off the menu! Professional and welcoming staff wherever you wander. Beautiful outside pool area. (Also inside pool and large gym.) Safe, mostly covered, parking. Over time, this hotel's north Ensenada location has become a plus. There was always a beautiful marina, but now the city's excitement has expanded to this area. More amenities and fun stuff to do within walking distance or a short drive of the hotel, in particular tasting rooms and craft breweries that also serve food. read more

Booked this hotel for the weekend because the hotel I usually stay was booked. The room I got 611 was horrible outdated broken chair, ac unit control broken carpet old dirty and lifting told front desk and totally didn't cared. I pay half cash and on the receipt the girl Leslie was putting a less amount than what I had given her until I told her. Bar area chairs is horrible rip outdated really makes the hotel look old and very outdated. Spa was horrible on the massage services I usually go to get massages in tijuana which is way better all they did here was rub your back with oil no pressure didn't feel relax at all with that service. I recently stayed at the Hotel Coral and Marina and was truly impressed by their exceptional customer service. From the moment I arrived, the Valet Mario went above and beyond to ensure a delightful experience. The gals at the front desk were very friendly and prompt in getting us our rooms. But by far the best service has to be during Brunch (which is really good) by our waiter, Arian. He greeted us warmly, accommodated our requests promptly, and his genuine willingness to assist was probably the best service I have ever had... at any restaurant. Really enjoyed our stay here. Pricing was very reasonable ($156US per night) for our stay. The junior suites were huge and well air conditioned. Love the large walk in shower as well. The bed and the sofa were very comfortable. Although it would have been better to have a balcony, the patio just outside our room was a nice place to sit and people watch over a cup of coffee or a cocktail. Didn't get a chance to try the food at the hotel, but after seeing them roast a whole pig over a spit in the outdoor patio to the restaurant, we're looking forward to return visit for a full experience here. Only negative is that since the hallways are mainly made of concrete and ceramic tiles, sounds could reverberate, especially from drunk, festive hotel guests slowly heading back to their rooms late at night (and you're trying to sleep). read more

Was in town for a wedding and this is where the hotel block was. I booked a one bedroom junior suite and I was very impressed with the room. The view was great, comfortable bed, and the room was spacious and clean. The bathroom has a separate door for added privacy. Wi-fi speed is good, but I didn't stream any videos so it's hard to say how good it was. The staff was also very nice. Only complaint is that we had breakfast at the buffet, and both my mom and husband started having digestive issues soon after. Since I only had an egg omelet and fruit (I did not have what they had and both had similar food), and had no problems, we are guessing something was up with the other food choices. We stayed her for two nights while we were in town to get our residency visas. The hotel was really nice, clean, and had great food. The room was clean, comfy and had a nice view. As expected the process at immigration didn't go very smoothly and we ended up needing to make copies and print documents. Cristian at the concierge desk was very helpful and saved the day. When we were stuck at immigration on our last morning the front desk gave us late checkout without any problem. We'll definitely be back!! read more

I purchased a timeshare and was very happy with it until they made changes. We were guaranteed that we would have the presidential suite or the master suite available to us. Well, it turns out if they booked the master no one can book the presidential suite because they will not have anything to show potential clients so if the presidential is booked you cant book the master because they need to show potential clients one of 2 rooms. We bought a membership which is a black membership that is their top membership and now the presidential is being booked as a single unit not a presidential suite. So don't trust their agents they'll tell you anything I went to the Director and asked why we were told that the presidential suite was not available when it was clearly not being used. She got so upset and said she was gonna call security to get me out of of her office. Turns out they need to show the master or the presidential in order to continue showing potential timeshares customers. We didn't get what we were promised. Be very cautious before buying. They act like this is a five star resort maybe at best a 3 star. Staff is excellent from valet to front desk and Christian at hotel services Is very cordial and will do whatever he can to make your stay a 5 star. read more

It has been several years visiting Ensenada, used to come down here often before violent activities picked up in Some areas of Baja. Major positive changes up and down the coast. Decided on get away drove down and chose Hotel Coral Marina for our stay. I'm Marriott Platinum member and very impressed with accommodation and their impeccable service. Service requests are answered timely, matter of minutes! Strong emphasis on security all access to property staff with guards and your arrivals are announced to front desk staff. In fact I feel safer than certain areas of LA and law enforcements and military guards visible. No homeless camp sites non existent!! read more

Drove down to Ensenada from Southern California for an extended weekend and had a great time. The hotel was clean and has everything you need. A restaurant, spa, pool, marina with water activities, playground, etc. The room we booked was a one bedroom with 1.5 baths and a kitchen. Glad we got the kitchen to save a little money on food. We drove across the street to get groceries at Soriana. We did try the breakfast buffet at the hotel and it was decent, but since we don't eat much we didn't think it was worth it. We ate downtown twice, once at an overpriced place on first Street and once at a taco place on the Malecon. Honestly, we'd rather cook our own food which is disappointing because we have been told Ensenada has good food. Maybe we just went to the wrong restaurants. We went paddleboarding one morning which was fun, even though you have to stay in the small marina area. The younger guy who helped us was great and even took pictures for us. The hotel could improve on some minor details. First of all, the buffet was served by staff due to covid, and you had to ask what was inside everything. It would have been better if there were little signed stating what was in each serving platter. During our chat with a concierge staff, he mentioned we could walk to the Malecon along the beach path and it should take 20 something minutes - we are active people and it took us an hour. Take an uber or drive. We also noticed some of the staff using the opposite language when that's not what we were hoping for. In one situation, my Mexican husband approached reception to figure out an important situation. He was speaking his native language, Spanish, but reception continued to speak in English even though there was some confusion happening. This may have been fine in certain situations, but there was clearly a communication barrier and when trying to deal with something important it would have been better if both spoke their native language in order to avoid confusion. Overall I think this place was the best option in Ensenada and if we return we will book it again. read more

we had a super fabulous stay here at Hotel Coral. my family and I visit Baja frequently...my #1 requirement is cleanliness...yup other things definitely add to a hotel stay, but clean is the most important. This place was super clean! zero complaints there... pools...all fab indoor pool with 2 jacuzzi's outdoor pool/outdoor kiddie pool/outdoor jacuzzi... no beach access...a little bummer but i can live with that food... restaurant...we enjoyed breakfast buffet both days...reasonably priced and pretty good food...no complaints. pool bar/food... drinks were nice...and about $5 a pop... food..eh...that wasn't very good...wouldn't do it again marina bar... just a few steps away from the pool and it felt like we were "going out" great drinks/ pretty good food (the french fries rocked)...and you could charge to your room mini mart... at the marina there was a mini mart...nothing fancy...single soda's/single beers/ice cream bars...all at good prices... rooms/view rooms were comfortable and beds were plush. good amount of space the family room was dark...wish it had better lighting patio was fabulous!!!!! love it looking forward to a return trip here read more

I would of never had a chance to stay at this incredible hotel if it wasn't for a mini vacation with my amigas, since I usually stay with my family in Ensenada. First of all they are on top of this Covid-19. From the time we checked in, till the the we checked out, everyone was so hospitable. The pool area was open with social distancing of couse.The dinner & breakfast buffet where awesome. We stayed in a jr suite with a great view of the Marina. The hotel rooms are large, well appointed with comfy bed & furniture and a huge bathtub. Our room had a view of the Marina and ocean. The reastaurants have excellent food with a view of the water. The town has many shops and restaurants. We lived in the Marina for 6 months and have gone to the best New Year's Eve celebrations there for two years at the hotel. What a great find in a prime location. Marina views with indoor/outdoor pools & hot tubs. Two on site restaurants, with gated valet parking and FANTASTIC service. They even have indoor/outdoor bars, a spa and a gym. SWEET! The rooms were excellent offering a private bedroom, A spacious bathroom and a living area. There is also an exterior patio via a sliding door to enjoy morning coffee or afternoon/evening wine. The entire staff showed incredible professionalism with a willingness to go out of their way. This might be the best group of hotel workers I have ever experienced. Mario, a bellhop and Francisco the tour driver particularly stood out as we dealt with them daily. This review is based on the value we paid. We went during peak season for a friend's wedding (each night was $250). The pros: - huge rooms (all of them come with a separate living room and bedroom; we upgraded to a deluxe suite which also came with a full kitchen and additional half bathroom) - free parking if you are driving down from San Diego - free Internet - food was fresh, tasty, and reasonable priced at their restaurant and outdoor bar area (most appetizers and entrees were under $10 US dollars, weekday buffet was $13 and weekend brunch was $20) - a few miles away from the city where the night life and restaurants are - provide fast pass upon check out to help expedite your entry back to the US - staff is friendly and everyone speaks English - they do provide shuttle service from San Diego to the hotel ($27.50 each way) and it was on time The cons: - rooms need to be updated and renovated; had an odd, mildew smell - only one small outdoor pool for the whole resort (there is another indoor lap pool next door) and not enough lounge chairs or umbrellas - come prepared to see and hear a lot of kids running around and screaming; not a relaxing, adult destination if that's what you're looking for - no beach access; just to the harbor - very thin walls; you can hear the elevator bell, people at the pool, and people walking up and down the hallway throughout the night - food service at the bar and pool is very slow (there was only one waiter each time we went) - spa services were quite expensive ($100 for a massage) - no surprise but most of the cable channels were in Spanish - not much to do around the hotel other than go to the pool It would be a good value if you come during off peak season when the rates are closer to $99 per night. But compared to Cabo or Cancun, I didn't see the value of staying in Ensenada. read more

This is one of the best places I've stayed in Ensenada! I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area. I have stayed here a few times, and have always had an wonderful experience. The service is the first thing you will notice when you arrive; everyone is SO happy, polite and extremely helpful in every way possible. Alejandro, who is a manager of the hotel, has done an amazing job creating the perfect place for guests to relax and feel like kings and queens on vacation. Everyone who works at Hotel Coral and Marina are extremely kind and felt that this made my experience 10x better than any other. Our chauffeur from the hotel, Gerardo, was probably the most helpful person I encountered and learned so much from him about Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe on our wine tour. Miguel and Tony, both concierges that I worked with, were a huge help in organizing my stay and itinerary. The food is also really good! I was so impressed by their weekend brunch, and highly recommend eating there on the weekend. Make sure you make a reservation because it gets super busy! The hotel rooms are a nice size, and have different floor plans to accommodate different parties. The pool is perfect to lay out by, and you always have a nice view of the Marina anywhere you are at the hotel. Amazing location. Amazing views. Amazing staff. I cannot stress how much this hotel exceeded my expectations. We were greeted upon arrival by the bell staff, who walked us over to the check in area and personally introduced us to the staff at the desk. Check in was quick and easy. We were escorted to our room and given a tour of it. The room was spacious, immaculately clean and had a large balcony that overlooked the pool area and the marina. We spent our mornings drinking coffee and watching the sun rise and spent evenings sipping drinks watching the sunset. The hotel has multiple bars and restaurants and they are all worth spending some time in. The concierge staff at the hotel was friendly and helped us book whale watching excursions and winery tours. The location is right along the main highway leading into the center of town. Shops and grocery stores are located within walking distance. There is an amazing craft brewery next door that, up until a couple months ago, was led by a former brewer from Surly here in Minneapolis. This is, by far, the finest hotel in Ensenada, outside of the boutique lodgings you will find in the wine valley. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again someday. read more

This hotel probably deserves 3 stars, but the staff and doormen were so great that I upped it a star. Big rooms, nice and clean. Decent lobby. Beautiful view and gorgeous patio dining. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars? Awful food! I tried the dinner buffet, I couldn't eat a single thing there. I thought it was just us, but I noticed that only one other family got the buffet and everyone else was just ordering drinks. Mexico and especially Ensenada is known for its amazing food yet the hotel food was stuff you would find at a 7-11. I tried room service two times. The pizzas were frozen and just warmed up. The second time the burgers were just ok, and the chocolate cake was just ok. If you're going to stay here, try the local taquerias and restaurants around the hotel. There are some great places. Other then that, this is a nice hotel to stay at. read more

So 2 stars because of the following so wrong- First night over the course of about 4 hours- room heater broken we call front desk they send a guy. He set pilot light all good. Happens again no biggie we call front desk they send guy he resets pilot light all good. Happens again front desk says is this the 3rd time? Yes you're the same girl I talk to each time. We go downstairs and get a drink. When we return heat is on then quits again. We call front desk and request a room with working heater. They needed to suggest another room before I requested and they needed to apologize for the hassle. Nope. They send a guy to show us a room we say thanks and pack up our stuff. This hotel isn't kept up at all and wish we stayed at the Torre Lucerna down the road! read more
