I have been coming here for 30 years now. First with my family and now with my husband! The pool and the view are amazing. The food was delicious and we love to sit at the bar and hang out with the bartender Maggie. She's our favorite. We also love Gustavo at the front desk he's very helpful. We had a great time as usual and can't wait to come back. Yes there is noise from the highway but honestly we sleep with the balcony doors open and the sound of the waves is so peaceful you can't hear the traffic anymore

Let's start off with how amazing, and magical this Place really is to me and my family, and now with the recent death of one of my nephews whom introduced this amazing getaway to our family; where we already have spent countless times/dinners/events here it's a home away from home when we want to be seaside. We just recently lost a fellow family member to gun violence and even more this resort has been become a jewel for our family the memories/ the times splashing around in the pool. Using the baggage carts to "surf" will forever be the memories I hold dear to my heart. I'm blessed now to make new memories here with my partner thank you Las Rosas Resort for your amazing customer service, friendly staff; and overall the ability to be inclusive to ALL! Thank you from the Castillo-Robles family!

Definitely a place I would come back again for a quick 4-day getaway weekend. The views are beautiful and I absolutely loved the infinity pool and delicious food. I was a bit disappointed in the room itself as they could use an update, but the ocean views helped in making it worthy. The servers for breakfast and dinner were amazing and felt the food was delicious and authentic. *infinity pool* is not heated for that choose to visit during the cooler months, which is fine as this would only be a place I would come to enjoy during warmer temperatures.

Did not sleep at all. There was some machinary making noise for much of the early evening and then the traffic noise was so much worse than I could have imagined Curtains were broken and did not close properly which resulted in the room being well lit at 6am (so if I had managed to get some sleep....) Pillows overstuffed and made my head in an uncomfortable position. Had to roll up a towel to use that My wife stayed here years ago and we went from another hotel in the Valle for this....!! The negative so far outweighs the nice views. No idea if the other rooms are any better, but it is a dated hotel and I doubt if the windows were changed to block the increase in traffic noise And got this I paid 3000MEX

The review is NOT for the hotel but for the restaurant great service, great views, good selection of menu The 2 stars are for outrageous prices. like $18 for "Caesars Salad" that includes a giant uncut piece of lettuce sprinkled with Caesar Dressing. Really? Food is good but unimpressive and prices are insulting by American Standards. There are gazillion restaurants with 3 times better food and selection and 2-3 times cheaper.

Such a great hotel with beautiful views, great friendly staff (my personal favorite, the bartender), and the food was delicious. The only reason a star was taken off was because our room's lamp didn't work, the bathroom was mediocre with an old fashioned folding door, and our lamp's table drawer kept magically opening out of nowhere. (Maybe it was haunted. Lol Yikes!) In overall, I had a great time. Exactly the relaxation time and views I imagined. Oh by the way, I read another yelp review about this hotel's loudness of the street and yes, that person is correct. Nonetheless, I was able to tune the sound of the road/traffic/vehicles out by keeping the balcony open and the sound of the waves overcoming the loudness and blocking it. I think after a few glasses of wine and my speaker playing relaxation music , well, it also helped too. lol.... I would stay here again.

We went to Ensenada from LA and decided to stay the night and looked in yelp for a nice hotel and found this one. We called and they had rooms available. Everyone is very nice and professional, we had dinner and drinks that evening and the food was pretty delicious. The drinks are fairly priced. We had breakfast the next morning and it was delicious! We'll definitely be back. The hotel is very well kept and the pool and jacuzzi are very clean. They have a door man :) Hope this helps.

Stopped in on a Sunday for their $15 champagne brunch. They serve all the basics, chilaquiles, beans, potatoes, omelette station, hand made tortilla station, dessert bar and meat in a red sauce a green sauce and etc.. This is not all you can drink champagne it's one glass. Service was ok, I didn't see any smiling faces. I have stayed at the hotel, the rooms are clean and the linen is always fresh and clean but over all very antiquated and I feel over priced unless you book way ahead.

    Enjoying the infinity pool.

I come here practically every time I come to Ensañada. It's location is perfect and could not get any closer to the water. Every room has a water view. The rooms are outdated but you can't beat that view. They have an infinity pool and a jacuzzi that is right next to the water. The staff are wonderful and parking is plentiful.

Our stay included these two, beautiful margaritas.

Las Rosas is beautiful and our stay there was wonderful. The staff is kind and the comped margaritas were extremely tasty. My kids loved swimming in the pool overlooking the ocean for hours. What really sells Las Rosas is the view. It is unbeatable. This would be a great place for a romantic weekend getaway .

Amazing views... Such a beautiful place. A very intimate hotel. The hotel is about 5 minutes before the main Ensenada tourists area. It's right off the freeway with every room having an Ocean view. There is an infinity pool that over looks the ocean and a jacuzzi as well. Take a look at my pictures. All of the staff are very accomodating and offer assistance every time you pass by. There is a spa (I didn't have time to use any spa services, bummer), a resturant and a bar with live music. In the morning there is a very nice breakfast buffet (it's about $12) with desserts, fruits, omelette station, chilequiles, pancakes, Birria, beans, tortilla making station and so much more. As soon as you sit down they bring you a glass of wine, coffee and orange juice with your breakfast. The rooms were clean and well taken care of. The only downfall of the place was the WiFi didn't work well from the room. it worked best if you were in the bar and used the bar's wifi but the hotels wifi just didn't have a strong enough signal in our room. It would go in and out on our phone. You could go outside the pool area and down the walkway to the ocean. This hotel is very nice for some alone time with your loved one or a family getaway without having to worry about it being too crowded. Because it's not a huge resort but has resort amenities it's a win win. The pool is plenty big for the kids or adults to hangout in without it being packed. I don't think we would want to stay anywhere else after our experience here. Thank you very much. ** Adding a little tip to my review since I was asked recently, The website is outdated with only 2015 and 2016 reservations. I had to call the hotel directly to book a room over the phone, they answer in spanish but they do speak English just fine and are very friendly when booking**

Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, with plenty of room to spread out after long days of eating our way through Ensenada and wine tasting in the valley. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and the pool is amazing. Service throughout the property was warm and welcoming. Everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to want guests to enjoy their stay. One thing I appreciate about Coral & Marina is that it offers a different vibe than the large resort-style properties further south. It feels quieter, more relaxed, and more authentically Ensenada. It's the kind of place where you can spend the morning at the spa, the afternoon exploring fish taco stands and wineries, and the evening watching the sunset over the marina with a glass of Baja wine. We had an amazing stay!

*1 STAR - And only because 0 is not an option. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE*…read more I stayed this Saturday at City Express Plus Ensenada and it was a total disappointment. The hotel looks like it's under construction, everything looks run-down and neglected, but the staff says it's been open for 7 years. The rooms are just okay, 2 out of 5 at best. The worst part was the breakfast. The stay supposedly includes breakfast. I've stayed at other City Express hotels, for example in Tijuana, and the included breakfast has coffee, juice, bread, sweet bread, fruit with yogurt, eggs with ham, chilaquiles, etc. Here in Ensenada, the "included breakfast" was: plain scrambled eggs, black beans, fruit, juice, coffee and bread. That's it. If you wanted scrambled eggs with ham and chilaquiles - which weren't even real chilaquiles, they looked like bagged tortilla chips with sauce - they wanted to charge you an extra *$300 pesos*. This is completely inappropriate. Charging extra for something that is included at every other City Express. And as you can see in the photo, where they have the buffet is disgusting. The wall is full of rust, dirty, stained. Zero hygiene for a food area. They have a sign that says "FULL HOT BREAKFAST BUFFET" and it's a joke. I do not recommend it at all. For the same price there are much better options in Ensenada.

Room was pretty bare, ants in the bathroom and the kind of hotel where it just smelled musty and no upgrades have been done in years. A short walk to the ocean and steps below to the rocky beach. All have satellite tv and ceiling fans. The shower is typically good for Mexico compared to lots of places I've stayed but sometimes you have to let it run for a minute or two to get hot water. Our last visit was a little disappointing as our rooms weren't cleaned at all while we were there (8 days) and we had to say something to get our towels swapped out. Three of the rooms also ran out of toilet paper and we went and bought our own. The amenities are slim... but the people are great (And "Machaca" the dog) and the view is FANTASTIC from the rear patio area! Before I get to the review of the hotel , I will tell you about an incident that occurred before we arrived to the hotel. On our way to the hotel we decided to stop at a grocery store before checking in so that we wouldn't have to go back out once it got later in the night . Unfortunately our car got broken into while we were in the store and we had to file a report with the police so we called the front desk to let them know we would he checking in late due to what had just happened , the lady at the front desk was really nice and understanding. She told us to take our time and take care of the issue we were having . My family and I were pretty shook up by what happened to us and we were contemplating just driving back home . But once we arrived at Quintas Papagayo and checked into our room we felt a little better . The premises felt safe and quiet , there is a gated and monitored entrance . The room was clean and the ocean view was so relaxing . It looked like they had updated the rooms and the pool area since we had last been there. The overnight security noticed our car window was shattered and he stopped by to check on us to make sure we were okay . We told him what had happened at the grocery store and he let us know that he was very concerned when he saw the broken window . It really goes to show that the security team is monitoring the premises and noting anything out of the ordinary. The front desk , maintenance and housekeeping staff were also very friendly and helpful . We asked someone at the front desk if we could have some leftover cardboard so that we could cover our broken window for the drive back to the states and they were able to find some for us . Everyone was always happy to help us out . My kids really enjoyed the pool and just hanging out on the patio in the evening. Although our getaway started off on a bad note , we were able to make the best of it ! I'm glad my kids got to experience this place just like I did when I was a kid .

Fortunately, you'll have that incredible view to look at, because you won't be able to be online much with the atrocious, sketchy Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, that's where the positive aspects end. I suspect due to the number of large interior villas, the property is packed with kids. While it's clearly a great spot to entertain children, getting anywhere near the hot tub for a relaxing soak simply isn't happening. I even tried waking up early to get in a quiet morning soak, only to learn the pool area doesn't open until 9:00 AM. and there's just something that seems so wrong about a 65-year-old man joining children in a hot tub. Once finally seeing children free, I discovered it was water that I wouldn't choose to get into and the actual jets were not working. In the room, you're provided with an antiquated coffee maker but no actual coffee, leaving your only on-site option an 85-peso price tag for a basic black cup. To top it off, you actually have to leave your physical ID just to borrow a pool towel, which feels a bit extreme compared to standard check-out sign-ins. After all, you do leave a 500 peso deposit upon check in. I will say I was impressed with the delivery of a large drink of water upon check up check-in and I certainly didn't mind pouring it into glasses however no jug is provided and I could imagine some folks having difficulty maneuvering it. All in all, the staff is amazing and the location is perfection. It just seems that any of the inadequacies stem entirely from the way the hotel is being managed.
