This is the 3rd year in i've came to mexico for work and stayed at this hotel. It is a very nice hotel! The rooms are always clean and the staff are so friendly! They let us check in at 9:30am which was really unexpected and kind! The restaurant is AMAZING! The server Juan Carlos is awesome! I arrived at the hotel bar and spent some time there consuming beverages. Later, an employee informed me that I needed to leave because the space was reserved for a private event. There were no signs or clear indications posted beforehand. I was asked if I was a guest of the hotel, which I confirmed. Despite this, I was still asked to leave, which caused me significant embarrassment in front of other guests I had been interacting with. read more

I have been coming here for 30 years now. First with my family and now with my husband! The pool and the view are amazing. The food was delicious and we love to sit at the bar and hang out with the bartender Maggie. She's our favorite. We also love Gustavo at the front desk he's very helpful. This hotel does not have a family atmosphere, it is not suitable for children, anyone can get into the pool and not to mention the jacuzzi! Being in my stay I had to be in the jacuzzi and see how people came in with glasses/tumblers with alcoholic beverages and with radios putting obscene music and when I went to complain about the people drinking and with music with many bad words and they threatened us that Ivan was going to take off their clothes and that they were even peeing the manager at that moment did nothing!! The level of people who enter there is very low!!! And if you don't smoke, don't go because the manager told me that cigarettes are acceptable in the jacuzzi and it was unbearable 5 people smoking with children inside. read more

Let's start off with how amazing, and magical this Place really is to me and my family, and now with the recent death of one of my nephews whom introduced this amazing getaway to our family; where we already have spent countless times/dinners/events here it's a home away from home when we want to be seaside. Definitely a place I would come back again for a quick 4-day getaway weekend. The views are beautiful and I absolutely loved the infinity pool and delicious food. I was a bit disappointed in the room itself as they could use an update, but the ocean views helped in making it worthy. The servers for breakfast and dinner were amazing and felt the food was delicious and authentic. *infinity pool* is not heated for that choose to visit during the cooler months, which is fine as this would only be a place I would come to enjoy during warmer temperatures. read more

I lived in Ensenada for twelve years, in my opinion this is the best place to stay. The restaurant is excellent.

Did not sleep at all. There was some machinary making noise for much of the early evening and then the traffic noise was so much worse than I could have imagined Curtains were broken and did not close properly which resulted in the room being well lit at 6am (so if I had managed to get some sleep....) Pillows overstuffed and made my head in an uncomfortable position. Had to roll up a towel to use that My wife stayed here years ago and we went from another hotel in the Valle for this....!! The negative so far outweighs the nice views. No idea if the other rooms are any better, but it is a dated hotel and I doubt if the windows were changed to block the increase in traffic noise And got this I paid 3000MEX read more

Alas, we did not stay in the Hotel, but we came for the brunch buffet and it proved to worth visiting. There's parking available, but seemed to be limited. Plus, we arrived a bit early, so I am sure the parking would be tough later when the rush storms in! We were lucky to get one of the last spots. When you walk into the hotel, continue forward down a set of steps and that's the entrance to the restaurant. For about $13 USD, you have a whole selection of food to choose from, with cranberry mimosas included. I couldn't believe the spread available. There is a section for hot food that comes out regularly that includes rice, beans, corn, mole chicken, eggs, menudo, etc. (That's what was being served that particular day. Right in the middle a table full of fruit and dessert caught my eyes, especially the chocolate covered strawberries! There was a woman making fresh tortillas for the build-your-taco line, while on the other side of the room you can have a freshly made-to-order omelette! You have the option to sit inside or outside.. Without a doubt, on a sunny day, choose outdoor seating. You're right at the ocean and the view is amazing. Such a great hotel with beautiful views, great friendly staff (my personal favorite, the bartender), and the food was delicious. The only reason a star was taken off was because our room's lamp didn't work, the bathroom was mediocre with an old fashioned folding door, and our lamp's table drawer kept magically opening out of nowhere. (Maybe it was haunted. Lol Yikes!) In overall, I had a great time. Exactly the relaxation time and views I imagined. Oh by the way, I read another yelp review about this hotel's loudness of the street and yes, that person is correct. Nonetheless, I was able to tune the sound of the road/traffic/vehicles out by keeping the balcony open and the sound of the waves overcoming the loudness and blocking it. We went to Ensenada from LA and decided to stay the night and looked in yelp for a nice hotel and found this one. We called and they had rooms available. Everyone is very nice and professional, we had dinner and drinks that evening and the food was pretty delicious. The drinks are fairly priced. We had breakfast the next morning and it was delicious! We'll definitely be back. The hotel is very well kept and the pool and jacuzzi are very clean. They have a door man :) Hope this helps. read more

Great room , pool and services however the food after almost 1hr wait with really low guest count we got the food. The enchildas are garbage Dry tortillas and dry chicken. The beans felt like someone half cooked them some beans were hard. The rice was also soft and hard. Not to sure how you can go wrong in Mexico with Mexican food but this tasted worst than Taco Bell. This was really disappointing especially since the have great service and servers. I would highly recommend replacing your chef or cook ASAP and bring a modern / authentic Mexican food chef. read more

Stopped in on a Sunday for their $15 champagne brunch. They serve all the basics, chilaquiles, beans, potatoes, omelette station, hand made tortilla station, dessert bar and meat in a red sauce a green sauce and etc.. This is not all you can drink champagne it's one glass. Service was ok, I didn't see any smiling faces. I have stayed at the hotel, the rooms are clean and the linen is always fresh and clean but over all very antiquated and I feel over priced unless you book way ahead. read more

This is just for the restaurant. AMAZING. First of all the view and service is the best around. Everyone is so nice and accommodating to English speakers. Now...you have to order the fire roasted corn. It's essentially a deconstructed elote, but its gonna blow your mind. I come here practically every time I come to Ensañada. It's location is perfect and could not get any closer to the water. Every room has a water view. Amazing views... Such a beautiful place. A very intimate hotel. The hotel is about 5 minutes before the main Ensenada tourists area. It's right off the freeway with every room having an Ocean view. There is an infinity pool that over looks the ocean and a jacuzzi as well. Take a look at my pictures. All of the staff are very accomodating and offer assistance every time you pass by. There is a spa (I didn't have time to use any spa services, bummer), a resturant and a bar with live music. In the morning there is a very nice breakfast buffet (it's about $12) with desserts, fruits, omelette station, chilequiles, pancakes, Birria, beans, tortilla making station and so much more. As soon as you sit down they bring you a glass of wine, coffee and orange juice with your breakfast. The rooms were clean and well taken care of. The only downfall of the place was the WiFi didn't work well from the room. it worked best if you were in the bar and used the bar's wifi but the hotels wifi just didn't have a strong enough signal in our room. It would go in and out on our phone. You could go outside the pool area and down the walkway to the ocean. This hotel is very nice for some alone time with your loved one or a family getaway without having to worry about it being too crowded. Because it's not a huge resort but has resort amenities it's a win win. The pool is plenty big for the kids or adults to hangout in without it being packed. I don't think we would want to stay anywhere else after our experience here. One word: Magic!! If you are looking for a well-kept, smaller, relaxing, quiet, boutique vibe for your time in Ensenada this is definitely the place to be!! Diego gives amazing service and all of my guests were raving about him! I had my wedding of about 60 people at Las Rosas in September this year. Hands down the best experience possible! Paulina was the EASIEST coordinator to work with, she made anything we could have possibly wanted possible! We drove down to visit her from San Diego a couple times, and communicated mostly through WhatsApp which was soooo convenient to exchange photos and ideas, etc. The girls got ready in the Penthouse and the guys down at the Casita, which was perfect. Both our ceremony and reception were at the garden along the cliff- EPIC! My guests were all amazed at the beauty and hospitality at Las Rosas. Most drove down from San Diego for the occasion, a very easy and beautiful drive. My guests all want to return! Even the ones who were a bit weary at first. The wedding cost couldn't be beat! After browsing through many hotels, I finally decided on this one for a weekend getaway from SD and let me tell you, it was the best decision ever! As soon as we got there, we felt welcomed by the staff. They made us feel at home and we got to explore the hotel freely. The bar has strong drinks at great prices, while you enjoy the views. Like everybody else, we were overwhelmed by the beautiful ocean front view, We were told it's the same from every room in the whole hotel. As you can see in the photo, When you have your front door open and the curtains open to the balcony, nothing but ocean baby! This hotel gets a 2 star for service, 3 star for room/ food and 4 star for view/location. Service is lacking, we had food at the restaurant, employees noticed us but didn't approach we had to go look for someone. Food was just SOSO and expensive compared to other places in Ensenada. Room was a solid 3 star, bathroom and single sink were on the smaller size and toilet bowl was perfect for my 4yr old, tiny. There was also mold in shower area(some don't care). The view was amazing, the rocky beach was a perfect scenery and the water looked beautiful and sounded dreamy as waves hit the rocks. Hotel isn't fancy at all, YOU PAY FOR THE VIEW. After 1 night we didn't extend and moved to Torre Lucerne hotel couple minutes away. First, the pluses: Gorgeous. Gorgeous location! Right on the rocky side of The Pacific Ocean! No sandy beach, but the infinity pool overlooking the sunset is not to be missed! The restaurant is spectacular, great views and less than USA prices. Mango shrimp was wonderful and even got room service breakfast. They had a live singer doing 80's and 90's covers in the lounge Friday night which was a fun touch. One star lost because fan and one light and the Wi-Fi in the room didn't work. This hotel is a scam . I booked a 2 bedroom penthouse with jacuzzi when I got here I only received a 1 bedroom room and no penthouse. They lied to get me to book a room. Theirs holes in the wall in the restroom. When I asked for towels 3 times they said they didn't have any and to come back in 50 minutes . The whole floor is wet in the lobby . The restaurant workers give bad attitude. I talked to the female manager about them scamming me saying I would get 2 rooms in the penthouse and she made no accomadations. She said their was nothing she could do. The jacuzzi in the room doesn't work . And their a scam I would not come here again. The only good thing about this hotel is the view. Also another hotel guest told me they did the same thing to her , they promised her a 2 bedroom suite and she only got 1 bedroom they had to sleep on a mattress on the floor. And also the people on the floor on top of us were making noise all night we couldn't sleep and I kept hearing a mouse in the wall all night terrible hotel they need new management!!! read more

First the good, room overlooks the ocean and the corner suite is quite large, however the hotel shows its age. The shower is run down, there's a light pulled out in the bathroom, dishes were left on our front porch when we arrived the first night, the room safe is broken, there's just too much to list. We booked the penthouse through Airbnb for our first time stay in Ensenada, and we were not disappointed! Our penthouse was located on the fourth floor isolated from the rest of the rooms. We had windows surrounding the entire place so that you can see the ocean from every direction. The space was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the hotels utilities such as the jacuzzi and the sauna after buying well made drinks at the bar. The bar, restaurant, and pool close at 10pm. In the mornings, we enjoyed the breakfast at their restaurant which was delicious and authentic. Before our food arrived, they provided us with complimentary champagne and Mexican sweet bread! The staff at the front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping were extremely helpful and accommodating. Only thing to consider is that the hotel is a few miles from downtown Ensenada, about a 10 minute drive. We did have some trouble when using Uber as the drivers cancelled a few times considering that the hotel is out of the way from downtown Ensenada, but eventually someone picked us up. Otherwise we have no complaints about this beautiful hotel. read more

Proved to be an amazing one-day stop in Ensenada during our cruise. Total cost for the day trip came to about $65. If you are looking for good drinks, edible food, and, of course, the secluded oceanfront views of your little gringo dreams, check out this gem of a hotel. Drinks: Enjoyed three tasty top-shelf drinks for $15 ($5 a drink) in the pictured cocktail lounge. Grub: Convenient locale as we didn't have a car, but the food was just OK for $34. The wait staff had great anticipation and genuine service. Ocean Views: venue was beautiful even on a foggy February morning, with access to an infinity pool, hot tub, and plenty of deck chairs to sun bathe. Pro-tip: an Uber ride from downtown Ensenada is only $2.50. Don't waste $10 each way on a taxi doing 80 mph in a van without seatbelts while you pray that today isn't the day you meet the windshield gods. Very hidden gem on the outskirts of Ensenada. Well worth your time for food and lodging. The venue has amazing beachfront views. Right on the water (hard to find in Ensenada) and an infinity pool to die for. A super secluded hot tub was a total bonus. I can not stress how amazingly wonderful our 5 day stay was. After reviewing some of the negative reviews here, I am absolutely baffled - I'm assuming Americans that do not travel much or extremely picky. The restaurant prices were very decent (I live in San Francisco, CA - my idea of "decent" may be different) - our typical breakfast bill for 3 was $25-$30, including complimentary mimosas. No matter the time of day, the food was absolutely delicious and the restaurant staff were so nice and welcoming. We booked the junior suite and the lower level jacuzzi room - both were very clean, SPACIOUS, comfortable, decorated appropriately and inviting. Both rooms had a great ocean view (I believe each room has an ocean view) and were very comfortable. **TIP - if the sounds of traffic are loud at night (the hotel is right off the freeway), open your balcony door and the sound of the crashing waves totally cancels out this noise. All the hotel staff from the security to front desk were extremely professional, helpful and kind. They assisted us with taxi and day drivers, local places to visit and hidden gems to explore in Ensenada. Although the hotel itself has a very magical and romantic feel to it, there is a family element, as well. During our 5 night stay, there were not any rowdy guests or partying, which adds to the relaxing vibe. The highlight for our stay here was the jacuzzi out on the water - absolutely joyful! read more

Stayed in Las Rosas resort this past weekend for my cousins wedding ceremony and I couldn't have spent it at a better location. Great view of the ocean from my room, wedding ceremony was outdoors and the reception in a tent which was a short walk from the patio. The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to accommodate any requests we had. The bartender made a michelada that brought me back from the worst hangover in the history of hangovers. I don't know what he put in it, but I was back in party mode after feeling like holy hell the entire day. Dude was a lifesaver, seriously! The only negative thing was the lack of irons in each room, the front desk was out when I called and requested one also. Breakfast on Sunday consisted of a buffet style setup, which I went to town on. It Included chilaquiles, menudo, quesadillas and made to order omelettes and many more dishes that I didn't get to try. Overall, I loved the location of the resort and the view is breathtaking from any room. I recommend it highly and look forward to coming back to Baja in the near future. Mexico kicks ass! read more

We started out without expectation and pulled into the parking lot of Las Rosas a few hours before check in on a Thursday afternoon. While our room wasn't available, we were still able to take advantage of the facilities and we parked ourselves on plush lounge chairs in front of an infinity pool that overlooks the ocean. It took all of three seconds to realize that we wanted to spend as much time here as possible. We were immediately waited on by very attentive staff and management, who took care of our every wish/desire while there. The hospitality just exceed all expectations. We checked in shortly after check in time and were very surprised that EVERY room as an Ocean view. Now, while we had a basic room, it did not disappoint, it was exactly as described- King bed, Ocean View. No frills necessary as we already decided we would be poolside all weekend. After our first meal at the hotel (dinner), we decided that we didn't want to go anywhere else to eat as the food was PHENOMENAL. The ambience, the service (MARIO- you were amazing), the food, the music from the lounge, the ocean views from the dining room- all made for a wonderful experience. Definitely check out the Sunday brunch, it is worth the few extra dollars- they put on quite a spread. Lastly, the grounds are gorgeous- from the walk along the wall bordering the ocean, to the multiple stairs that lead to the ocean, to the jacuzzi- we just found that no matter where we explored in Ensenada, we always wanted to race back to the hotel and relax.
