This place lies at the back end,and off the side of the hotel we stayed at. We were in the pool all day, and wasting time taking showers and going out was not in the cards. VOILA! Our wives walked into this gem and reserved a table for our party of eight. The seating is basically outdoors with a beachy feel. There are awesome views of the marina and the menu is extensive. I requested the Arrachera Sandwich which is basically Skirt Steak. It was tender, seasoned and it came with fries. My wife had the Fish Tacos and the kids had Fish Tacos & Car e Asada Nachos respectively. As an add on, we passed around Taquitos with Guacamole. I also drank a glass of Nebbiolo, while the rest of the family had Strawberry Lemonade. The weather & the setting was perfect after a Sun-filled chlorinated day. The entire group was really impressed. Their deck area also has a few gas fire pits to enjoy in the evening with some cocktails and appetizers. Again, the service here was way above board. I stayed at this hotel on 8/17/24. I liked that they gave us a bottle of wine and some charcuterie in our hotel room when we arrived. It was a sweet surprise! The view of our room was of the marina! We only stayed for one night, so it was pleasant. There were a few umbrellas by the pool, but we didn't have time to check it out- we just walked around the property for a bit before heading out. read more

This is NOT a 4.5 star hotel--try 3 at best. I paid for a junior suite with an ocean view and found a dated bathroom with broken shower tile and floor tile "fixed" with smeared plaster. Tub was dirty and the stopper didn't work. It was spacious but felt very old and not at all representative of the price point value they advertised. Worst of all, the pillows were uncomfortable and the bed was right behind a thin wall of the high traffic hallway, so I woke up every hour to someone loudly hollering in the hallway. The next morning I nicely explained the noise level and they moved me to another room that had a renovated bathroom and best of all--the bed wasn't on the hallway side. I slept well until construction woke me up at 8:30AM, but that's understandable. I still wouldn't say it changed my mind about the hotel: the hot tub jets don't work, the customer service isn't great (I asked multiple staff members questions and they made a stumped face, left me hanging to find another member and ask them, and then come back to shrug. A "one moment please" goes a long way even if you don't know). The facilities are very dated in general and the only highlight was the tennis court. All in all, it seems like an Airbnb has better value in Ensenada. read more

The food has been very good at every meal. Getting coffee refills seemed harder than it should. The views are spectacular. My problem is with the service. For instance there was no hot water for my shower yesterday morning. They were skimpy on pillows and towels but those were easily remedied. The suite is spacious and bottled water plentiful. It has the look but not quite the feel of a five star resort. Concierge service is available and has been very helpful. See review of Villa Marina. I had scheduled massages yesterday for two of us. My husband had a woman masseuse, mine was a man. Could have been more pressure but asking twice not much changed. I had also scheduled a manicure & pedicure. When l mentioned l'd be back for that in an hour, the hostess informed me there was no one to provide the service. Good thing l asked! We are from Las Vegas so our expectations were high l admit. It just seems with a little effort this really could be a five star hotel. One more thing there is a very nice gym here but for some reason it requires a membership and is not open to hotel guest! read more

Edited: This is the newest place to eat at the Hotel Coral and Marina. It is outside on a terrace overlooking the Marina. It is much less formal and has a beautiful setting. Even though the setting is smaller, they still have a variety of choices on their menu. We have had the ceviche which comes with plenty of tortilla chips. A bit expensive though. We also had a *shrimp tostada-which is the best! It is excellent and enough for two for an appetizer or snack. *EDIT: had the tostada again yesterday and it was totally different and it good. They said different cooks may do it different! Don't they get trained the same? Burger and fries are pretty good but be sure they bring it out hot. The servers are very friendly and the place has a modern vibe with nice music playing in the background. It is a nice place to have a drink, lunch or a casual dinner. I recommend trying the Marina Bar and Grill at the Hotel Coral and Marina! Though maybe go in the afternoon- the cook may be better. Try to get Christian as a waiter-he is great!! read more

Today was our first day here. Service was good, overall. Rooms were clean. The water in the outside pool was really cold . The inside pool kinda smelled, but at least that pool water was warmer. The food being offered in the pool area was blah- kinda tasteless. Had the carne asada nachos and cheese sticks with fries- blah. Room service was fast. Ordered the Mexican pizza . I thought it was okay, but my kid loved it. Thé televisións have the worst picture quality. Looked like they were was from the year 2000 hahaha. They play music outside and it's LOUD ! I was trying to go to sleep after a long day and the music was annoying and made it very difficult to sleep. Let's see how day two goes, but as of now, never again. Day Two- The bunch buffet was delicious. They had tons of options, from typical breakfast items like pancakes and omelets to Mexican food like becerro, mariscos, and menudo . Sleeping here was a bit of a pain. The king size bed was very very comfortable, but the damn crackling noise from the vent was annoying and wouldn't let me sleep . Ugh. I had to turn on the 1999 tv to cancel out that noise. Hubby complained that the roller bed was very uncomfortable he ended up sleeping in the sectional. Sigh. My parents also stayed here. Their shower head wasn't working, but they fixed it. They also got stuck with some crappy guests next door that kept making a racket so mom didn't get a chance to sleep until 3:00am. We came on a one day one night getaway .. stay was awesome and staff are friendly and helpful . Food is delicious. We didn't see three jacuzzis but did saw one and a pool . It is a 7 min $5 Uber ride to the bars. (In which we loved ) the hotel overlooks the Marina and has a shirt sanded Cabana stretch to relax in. Sunday Brunch was delicious! I came here based on the yelp reviews and I haven't been disappointed so far. Everybody's been so nice, I came from San Diego and I really feel comfortable here. Very friendly staff time in check in far the restaurants. Just like the other yelper said the breakfast buffet is amazing and it is included with your state. They have so many options with posole, mole also fresh juice and the best coffee, delicious tortillas and salsa the list goes on and on, but I just have to say everything was amazing and I have no complaints. The pluses go to all the hotel workers; they were helpful, friendly, and service oriented. We especially appreciated our driver Filoman Alejo who picked us up at the San Diego airport and transported us to the hotel. We liked his service, personality, safe driving and flexibility and specifically asked for him to give us 3 days of tours to the Ruta de Vinos and La Buffadora, Filoman gets 5 stars plus. The rooms are spacious but the entire hotel is older and could benefit from serious remodeling. The hotel setting is beautiful, right on the marina and there is a lot of security but the oldness of the hotel brings the rating down 2 notches. I'm not sure what the people rating this a 5 are comparing this hotel to because I've traveled a lot including Mexico and I can list some 5 Stars, this is not one. The TVs are outdated, the picture is broken up, full of static and unclear in both the living room and bedroom. Also the food from the restaurant does not compare to the quality of the cuisine at other restaurants in Ensenada. They can do better! We gave up free breakfasts that came with a promotion to eat at other amazing places. Didn't want to waste calories on bad food. The only stellar item on the menu were the conchas (pan dulce/pastry) that are made daily on the property. read more

Love it here. The brunch on the weekends is amazing! The stay I had here was a last minute stay after my airbnb didn't work out. The hotel was more than accommodating. Antonio at Marea Vista called this place for us and they had a room for us in 15 minutes. The place was very clean, we were greeted by very generous staff, and the place has cheap drinks and great food! There are three pools with ample seating, secluded cabanas downstairs overlooking the marina, and three Jacuzzis. There's also a nice gym. People also have weddings here. I'm sure they're amazing! I am a new tenant to the marina but so far my experience has been incredible. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, the marina is clean, security seems very good, they have Tesla chargers in the parking lot, and all of the neighbors are very friendly. This place exceeded my expectations. The food was great! Had carne asada tacos, my husband had the fish tacos w flour tortillas. He had a michelada and I had a long island!
