Our penny baby has been going here since she was about 6 months old and is now 3. She loves it. We even have a command that she recognizes for this spot and she becomes soo excited whenever it is said. She runs in !!! The staff is sooo patient and kind and sweet and amazing. They love each and every dog. I drop penny off at 6:30 am most days !! Wow!!! I can't even drop my kids off that early in before care!! I love that early start option !! Penny has been overnight boarded as well and we have never had a single issue !! Highly recommend ! Penny stays allllll day !! 6:30 am till almost 8 pm. Wouldn't have it any other way. The next day she is exhausted and rightfully so !! Our 70 lb "baby" has a ton of energy and walks 4 miles a day most days. This gives me a break now and then from those walks. Disgraceful!!! I've been taking my 15 yr old Cocker Spaniel to Hotel For Dogs for 4 1/2 years TO PLAY. I was just informed by 2 employees that my dog has never been allowed in the general population- the entire time he has been going there. I'm heartsick and outraged about this. I'm now told, to my horror, for the 4 1/2 years I thought he was playing and socializing he was being placed strait into a cage. As I expressed my shock, an employee said "well we never lied to you" In fact they LIED repeatedly, not only by omission but directly about 100+ times when I picked him up and asked "How was he today? Did he have fun? Did he play a lot? Did he make new friends? and got different lovely stories about him playing each time. My dog spends 2-3 days a week at parks or with friends dogs. Im well aware of his interactions with others, which have never been problematic. He's never been in one fight. He's docile and sweet. Yet yesterday I was given some bogus excuses why unbeknownst to me they deemed my dog unfit to be around other dogs which are not only unacceptable but completely IRRELEVANT!!! I simply would NEVER have taken my dog there if I'd known they were just taking my money and tossing him in a cage. It's utterly deceitful and CRUEL. Shame on them. You don't know what's going on in there. Go to a place with cameras! They should refund my money. And the generous tips I gave to be sure my boy was well looked after.. Not good people. read more

I have a very shy, fearful mini labradoodle who I was reluctant to bring to day care. We tried Hotel for Dogs and she really started becoming happier. She rarely wagged her tail, but now she wags it upon entering. Everyone is so nice and all the people know the dogs. I just boarded her for 2 days and was able to view her having fun on their Facebook page. This was her first time away and I will definitely bring her back to stay there again. Everyone there went out of their way to make sure that she and I were ok! I am so happy I have found this place. I highly recommend it. read more

I am so glad we found Hotel for Dogs! We got a puppy and wanted somewhere for daycare and boarding closer to home than we had with our last pup. We used to drive to Tinton Falls, this is so much closer and just all around wonderful. They LOVE the dogs here, but most importantly they know the dogs (and owners) here. We had only been maybe once or twice and they knew my name and my dog's name without effort. They post pictures all the time of the pups playing, you can tell how much fun they are having. They also have bailed me out when we had to bored last minute (literally that morning). My dog gets more excited to come here than anything else. The other day he got out of the car before I got the leash fully secured, he ran right to the door. To all the staff, I am sorry he jumps on you with such zeal when he arrived. I think the pricing is beyond reasonable for day care and boarding. Probably what I love the most is when you board you don't have to pick up by 9am or 12pm the next day, just before they close, and with no extra fee. You can also book online which is pretty sweet and simple too. You will not be disappointed in bringing your baby here, in fact, they may not want to leave. read more

My dog has been attending daycare here for about six months and I can't stop telling all of my friends and family. Each day when I drop her off, I'm greeted by friendly staff who know my dog by name and take her in with open arms. I've been using Jackie and her staff here since I got my rescue 6 years ago. I have nothing but praise to say I'm very protective of him and get nervous about going anywhere else. They got a new facility and even though it's a little more of a drive for me I only go there. So much care and you can really tell how much they love these dogs. My dog who's very nervous has a great time and has a little pack that he has been friends with for years that seem to always be there when we visit. There are some other facilities closer to me in Red Bank but I always travel there to A Hotel for Dogs. read more

Ohhhh Miss Jackie. How wonderful you are! Hotel for Dogs provides your dog with the care, love and attention as if it was their own! We own two rescued APBT/Staffordshire terrier mixes that have become the bestest of friends and were concerned to leave them in the care of others for so long. We were pleasantly surprised And due to this experience will no longer feel confined to our home, we will def start vacationing more! We brought moose and patron here over the thanksgiving holiday week. I was so sad and anxious to leave them for such a long time. I must have called HforD like 5 times to ask questions and never felt as though i was a nuisance. The week came to drop them and ensured they were UTD on shots, filled out the questionnaire and packed their blankie, tuggy and food. Cue sad music..... I was worried that noone could care for them like me, what if they got hurt or played too long, or get stressed being away, what if what if what if.... Of course I called to check in. And was told everything was great! I was surprised, kinda iffy but it turned out everything really went great. When we went pick them up just the way they acted showed they had a good time! Since the boys have been home they actually seem more well behaved. They also came home more muscular, I guess they got a bit more exercise! :) I am so pleased with how they were treated at H4D that I would recommend it to anyone! I take one of my dogs nugget to HFG a few times a month. All staff are pleasant and I am confident they truly love the dogs they tend to. Our dogs Mel and TeeJay love Jackie and Hotel for Dogs. They are kind and so accommodating. It is a clean and safe place to board. It doesn't feel like a business, it feels like a "home". We love Hotel For Dogs & have been using them for the past 3 years. We drive 30 minutes to board our dog here even though there are places closer to our house that we could take him. The Hotel for Dogs lost our yorkie fifteen minutes after I dropped her off!!! She was taken off leash in the office by the owner. A customer entered and our little dog ran out. After two hours of searching a kind and observant police officer found her on a busy road two miles away. The owner never called to see how she was and when I called the facility , rather than apologizing , the owner made excuses for the incident and was rather curt. We are so lucky our dog was found and is now safe at home. read more

Our family dog was on his first stay with them. Our dog, Pepper stayed with them for a week. We were very happy to see photos of Pepper on social media so we could see what he was up to. When we were leaving Pepper, a lady behind us said, "Isn't it so sad when you leave them?" and the lady at the front desk said "It's so sad when the leave us". Our family felt very comfortable living him there after that. When we picked Pepper up we were about 45 minutes later than we said we would pick him up. There were no complaints about how late we were. 2 days later and Pepper is super tired and fell asleep on my lap when I was playing tug a war with him. Our dog Bella began going to Hotel for Dogs Daycare for socialization with other dogs and exercise, when she was just a pup. Well at 4 yrs old, she still loves it so much we keep sending her there.
