I have been a loyal client for several years, utilizing your facility at least three times annually for our two dogs, with stays ranging from three to sixteen days. Our recent two-week stay cost up to $3,400, which we paid in full, including additional fees for exit baths. Unfortunately, upon returning home, both dogs were dirty and ill, requiring immediate veterinary attention for vomiting and diarrhea with blood. It was determined that they had infections contracted at your facility. I communicated this situation to your team and requested assistance with the veterinary bills, which totaled $745--a reasonable amount compared to typical veterinary care. However, I was informed that only $200 per dog would be covered due to your insurance policy's limitations. This response is unacceptable; it shifts blame onto your insurance rather than addressing the underlying issue. I declined the financial offer due to its degrading and insulting nature, as it demonstrated a lack of empathy towards the client and their pet. The amount of the bill, whether $200 or $2,000, should not dictate the level of care and accountability expected from your facility. Given our substantial investment, totaling thousands of dollars, we anticipated a higher standard of service and concern for our pets. The lack of empathy and accountability in this situation is disappointing and does not reflect the loyalty we have shown as clients. read more

That's insane. Your dog is there, the other dogs are there, let them play - that's why we're paying over $100 for the dog to stay there. This, plus the other bad reviews, shows that these people are putting business profits way too highly over dogs enjoyment. I could never run a business where I won't allow your dog to be with other dogs just cause you didn't add on an extra $18. You're either a dog person or you're not. We have been boarding our dogs here for around a year or so and have always been happy. From what I have seen the staff is very caring and always stops to tell me about my dogs when I pick them up. They are very upfront with all their packages and add ons. The bill is presented at the start for my review. If you are interested you can pay a small fee for webcam access or even have a GoPro video from your pets point of view. So far they haven't gotten sick staying here and they are very thorough about vaccination records. We expect kennel cough and other illnesses to happen from time to time when boarding but so far they have come home happy, healthy and very tired from all the fun they had. read more

I have been using dogs on the farm for years now and have recommended them to many family and friends. My dogs love it there. They don't even look back to say goodbye! I'm sorry to read the negative reviews because I have NEVER had a bad experience. They are very caring and call about any changes with your pet. Because the dogs are allowed to play in a group (and all people bringing their dogs know this as it is a big part of the stay) it's not surprising for the dogs to occasionally have little scratches from rough housing. My dogs have never been injured and never required a vet visit after a stay. Also, Dogs on the Farm have webcams that you can check into, as well as daily videos and pictures that they post to their Facebook page. So you can check on your pet regularly. In my opinion, dogs on the farm is a safe and fun environment for your pet while you're away. I trust them completely and my dogs love being there. I will never go anywhere else. read more

Both of our dogs were rushed to the emergency room from them being poisoned by chemicals in the kennel - where the owners husband openly admitted it happened to one other dog a few days prior when I called to find out what was going on. We were contacted by the Vet at red bank animal hospital and NEVER informed by dogs on the farm until we called them. Upon further investigation, MANY dogs were transported to the same vet for the very same reason the week of 1/18. We had to fly home from Europe after landing only 24 hours prior to get our dogs. Absolutely disgusting treatment of our dogs and an incredible amount of negligence on their part. read more

Another GREAT stay for WillieP. Willie continues to enjoy his stay at DOTF. He's been many many times now over the past year and half. The staff continues to be responsive and caring. He comes home bathed and happy. I live in NYC and drive an hour and half to bring him here. We love Dogs on the Farm. My dog loves going for doggy daycare and for boarding. The staff is very nice and always willing to answer any questions. You can watch the dogs on camera from their website that is in real time. My dog always comes home happy from Dogs on the Farm. I used to take my dog to another doggy daycare that is much closer to my house but they weren't as attentive to the dogs. My dog never came home happy from the other place. this place is super cute and I felt comfortable leaving my puppy Astra there. They were very accommodating to my needs because my puppy was recently spayed. I was sad she couldn't play or interact with the other dogs there but she got cuddles and private play. The place is huge and has a lot of space. I paid extra for the webcam service and it was nice being able to check in on her. Only thing is I wish the private play area was accessible for viewing. Astra looked happy and good when we picked her up. The place was very nice and the staff are very kind and welcoming. The cats in the check in office were so cute. I would def recommend this place and they have a lot of crate, room options for your dogs needs. Location was close to my AC hotel about an 1hr 30 min drive. They offer late check outs and it was great to get a booking because a lot of places were fully booked. read more

Love this place! Just boarded our very active pit mix for the Holiday week and he came home SO tired and happy! We were able to watch him play on the doggy cam every time we missed him. I was filled with anxiety before setting off for my 8 day vacation, where was I going to leave my Hunny-Love? He had never been boarded before - he is only 15 months - I did not want to be worried while on vacation - but let me tell you I was HAPPY when I found Dogs on the farm - the webcam, photos, videos all helped me to relax. As noted by a previous post, you pay for what you get and I paid to be anxiety-free, just like I would for my children. If Cooper could talk I'm sure he would tell me how much fun he had on the farm. My Cooper-Baby is a big ole bowl full of mush so he loves to receive "love" and the staff readily gave him all the love he needed, which is very important to me. My dog, Angus, spent 3 nights/4 days at Dogs On The Farm last weekend(6/2-6/5/2023). He came home exhausted, but extremely happy! He had an exit bath and smelled amazing! Angus is a 2 year old Labrador who needs a lot of attention and exercise, both of which he received from the staff there. It was our second visit, and Angus was so excited when we arrived! I used to board my wonderful dog Layla here when we traveled and I would take her here for daily play as well. Now that she has passed on, I board my cat Augusta when we travel and she is taken care of by wonderful staff. I completely trust in them, and I am able to get photos texted or emailed to me daily, I can have lots of amenities added to Augusta's stay, and all of this is at a reasonable price. We have been taking our dogs to DOTF for years and have always had a very good experience. We were recently out of the country and could only communicate via email and received a response back in I think under an hour. We just wanted to know how she was doing and if she was eating. It relieved some stress worrying about that but it was all good. DOTF also provides a report card and it was noted that she enjoyed playtime. She came home exhausted and slept most of the day. Within one hour of placing my magnificent, 2 year old, 105 lb., full bred German Shorthaired Pointer, who thinks he is a gentle lap dog, in the care of this place, my dog was severely bitten by another dog. Now you would expect with so many cameras and personal watchmen they would have known which dog did it, but there was a major cover up. While they did cover the vet bills, My dog was subject to anestesia, 4 internal stitches, and 4 external stitches, and an eight day course of antibiotics. My wife and I were a 150 miles away by the time they called us, and he had to stay for two days, but he could not be socialized. They charged us full price for the stay! be careful! They assure you the dog will be safe, but you are rolling the dice with a family member. read more
