My friend and I enjoyed a lovely lunch and drinks here this past Sunday. I had never been to the area and she highly recommended meeting at the bar inside the Hotel Leger. The food here is excellent and so is the service. The bartender, Bailey was welcoming and friendly and treated us to a number of personalized, unique and flavorful craft cocktails. She was incredibly knowledgeable and even made the raspberry rose syrup herself! We were very impressed. She went above and beyond to make our experience here enjoyable. We enjoyed a delicious appetizer and both had lunch as well. Everything tasted very good, but the fries were incredible. Some of the best I've had! I would definitely recommend a stop here to anyone in the area. The hotel has a lot of history and we were hoping to get a tour and learn about the prohibition basement and see the pool, but unfortunately we ran out of time on this visit. I look forward to returning and seeing more of this hotel and hopefully seeing more of our amazing server as well!

    Beautiful renovated guest bathroom

The food here at Hotel Leger was delicious! We had smoked brisket nachos, salmon bacon tacos and smoked tri tip tacos. The service was excellent, very friendly! We sat outside on the patio enjoying our meal and it was peaceful and relaxing. We highly recommend Hotel Leger and we will be back.

Originally saw it on Ghost Adventures and decided to come eat here. The food was good, we got balsamic chicken as an appetizer and I got the Léger burger as a main course. I would have ordered dessert but was full. The atmosphere was so charming, overall it was a good experience

This place is AMAZING!!! I have stayed here several times over the past decade. Its decor and furniture are mostly historic, even has creaky floors!!! I really like that there are no tv or phones in the rooms. Some rooms have access to the balcony where you can sit and read a book or enjoy an amazing sunset. The courtyard is beautiful and has a lovely pool that is never crowded. Each room here is unique so you can stay in a different room each time you visit!!! I love this historical hotel; I loved it soooo much I had my wedding reception here in 2007. The staff at the Leger were wonderful and made my special day PERFECT!!!! The food was EXCELLENT. My guests had a really great time!!! This location is perfect, there are many things to do in the area and its only 15 minutes from Jackson. I highly recommend visiting Moaning Caverns where I had my wedding ceremony (Yes, I did rappel, no I wasn't wearing a wedding gown in the cave). The hotel has had some renovations, you can check them out on Hotel Impossible. For those who can't live without, yes they do have WiFi and yes, your cell phone (Verizon) will work here. The hotel is under new ownership. The new owners have been here for 7 months. They are super friendly and are committed to making sure you have a great stay!! Prices are reasonable. I HIGHLY recommend staying here!

We had dinner here for the first time since Covid and it was FABULOUS! Great service and amazing food. WE WILL BE BACK OFTEN!

As long as you know what to expect of this hotel, you will have a fine experience. We saw it on Ghost Adventures so decided to travel from Sacramento and check it out. The hotel is unfortunately dilapidated. It's too bad it's not better cared for because the bones and the history are awesome! It was clean enough - no bugs, nothing disgusting, had hot water. It's just very old, the bed was horribly uncomfortable and it was very noisy until late at night. No TV, no coffee maker. If you're ok with these things, then don't hesitate to stay here. We went for the experience, and now we won't have to do it again. :)

We found this place to be so charming. Its over 150 yrs old, so yes it has creaky floors and drafty windows and doors. It also has water stains from past leaks on the ceiling and peeling paint due to the lack of a vent fan in the bathroom, but that's what you deal with in order to keep the charm of such an old building. We were pleased with the staff, cleanliness, and the pet friendly policy. We stayed in Room 1 with a working fireplace, patio access (through the window, how cool) and a private full bath. It was lovely. There was a continental breakfast served in the morning as well. So check this out, there were 2 other people staying there the same night doing a paranormal investigation. Um, what? Apparently the Ghost Hunters (the TV show) was there last week. So yea, I guess it's a haunted hotel. Boo!

Understaffed, poor service, food mediocre at best, left half of my meal, WAY overpriced. Won't eat there again.

The pours here are heavy handed which is a plus and the bartenders are super friendly. The layout is great, a few different seating areas with spacious couches and chairs that allow you to sip and watch the game comfortably. The music is ok if you're a lover of Sublime, Nickleback, and the occasional live rap battle. Seriously, this happened and it was awful. I've watched this place change from a more traditional bar with pool tables in the back to what it is now, which is sort of a combination of hipster haunt (with preserves decorating the front wall and a great craft beer selection) and weekend club. Seriously, the DJ and the rap battle were not what I was expecting. I'll also give them props for being the only place that serves food past 10 pm in Sutter Creek, even if it is three different fried offerings of a combination of them together. For the most part, the layout is great, the bartenders cheerful, the patrons an interesting mix of regulars and out-of-towners. Even the random DJ'd mix and unintelligible rap freestyle were good conversation pieces.

Wouldn't come here, I'm wondering if they are rude to people from out of town on purpose. Next time I would just put a sign up that visitors will not be welcomed and treated poorly. The girls working were so unbelievably rude. After the snarky "what do you want" at the start of the night, that should have been our sign to leave. The service was very slow, they were busy but met with attitude every time we got another round. At the end of the night we got our bill and luckily someone in our group caught that we were charged $25 for a trucker hat which none of us requested to purchase. We brought this to the girl's attention and her response was "well that's why I told you to check the bill." In a sarcastic and rude voice. I strongly believe based on this interaction that they charge unsuspecting out of town visitors for their merch and hope that people won't notice and then they just pocket the money? We then asked for a receipt which we never received.... Shady. I really cannot get over how rude the staff was and can't wait to try other places in Murphy's and never return to this establishment. Pretzel was yummy though. So they get two stars just for the pretzel.
