The typical Best Western breakfast is offered which includes instant eggs, bacon, toast, & oatmeal. There is also free coffee in the lobby. Staff was very friendly. Downside for our stay was the fitness center opens later in the morning. This is a very high transient location for travelers that go in between San Diego & Mexico. Be careful at night. There were many sketchy people loitering around the gas station. SUGGESTION: Try to get a room on the backside of the complex. The front is busier, with many of the 18-wheeler tractor-trailor trucks parking in reverse, creating that loud beeping sound. Overall, if you're comfortable with this arrangement, for the price and convenience, I recommend staying here.

As it turned out, they have nothing to do with the shuttle service other than the fact it does show up at the hotel. Bottom line is, it cost us an additional $200. cash the next day to use the shuttle service. Had I been advised of that, I would have gone a different route to get to our doctor. Very deceiving. Not happy.

When we went to check the room, it smelled horrible, and the pillows were visibly dirty and stained. Between the safety concerns and the lack of basic hygiene, we immediately returned to the front desk, stated we could not stay there, and requested to cancel. The receptionist assured us she had checked us out. However, this was not done correctly. When I later disputed the charges, a staff member named Orlando (who refused to provide his last name or the name of the hotel manager) informed me that there was no record of our immediate checkout. He claimed the cleaning staff's log showed the room was serviced, despite the fact that we never even used it. Furthermore, the hotel manager denied my reimbursement claim, falsely alleging that I never brought the issue to his attention--even though he was not even on the premises at the time of our visit. This establishment is running a highly dishonest, unhygienic operation. Save your money, prioritize your safety, and book elsewhere.

I looked for something local and inexpensive, just a spot to crash for a couple of days. Motel 6 in San Ysidro had the best rate I could find online at $51.29 a night (plus the crazy hotel taxes). Since we needed two nights, I called to check if the walk-in rate was any cheaper. Nope! They quoted me $113 a night. So I booked two rooms online. For the price, I wasn't expecting much, and the room delivered exactly that. It had two metal-framed full-size beds, a TV, air conditioning, and a basic stand-up shower. The beds were incredibly squeaky, the room was dusty, and you could tell the floors had been mopped with a DIRTY mop. My feet turned black just walking around, so I had to wipe the floor down with a towel before we could comfortably walk on it. The cats collected an impressive amount of dust bunnies, it was pretty gross. The room we had smelled like smoke (there's no smoking in rooms in Cali), the shower was outdated, the sinks were stained and missing their drain plugs, and there was no TV remote. I went to the office to get one, but the first one they gave me didn't work. After calling the office, someone brought a working remote to the room. The walls were thin, so we could hear the guests upstairs squeaking in their metal beds, and people talking loudly outside at odd hours. At least the air conditioning worked really good. You really do get what you pay for. I wasn't expecting much, and they definitely met my low expectations. Thank God it was only for two nights lol

I'll say that again: THERE WAS BLACK MOLD IN THE BATHROOM. The shower would not turn off making the bathroom floor constantly wet. I should also note that the water pressure was not the best but with all the grime around I did not want to linger anyways... There was rust, grime and dirt in the shower fixtures and sliding door. We arrived to find hair and debris in the shower grate. The room itself was moist the whole time. Pulled back the covers to get in bed and the covers were moist. We stayed one night here and when we left all of our things were moist and damp. We let the administration know and ultimately maintenance said they couldn't do anything about the issues. Also the walls are thin you can hear the television from a neighboring room quite clearly. Let the pictures speak for themselves. Don't waste your money or time here.

My room was a bit small but cozy clean and with the most beautiful view of the street !! Service was A1. Bed and pillows were super super comfy. They do have a private bar ( it is a little pricey ) but it's nice and comfortable and I loved the music they were playing. Decent price for 2 nights. Room has water and a coffee machine with coffee pods. I'm pretty picky when it comes to hotels and the beds. Drinks were good but a bit expensive.   If you are a couple who want to be in the downtown TJ area to experience nightlife, this might be the place for you.  However, the hotel doesn't have its own parking, as it is off-site, not oriented for families or those who have difficulties moving around or in need of ramps.

But hey it's a brothel hotel so we should already be expecting that. Compared to other brothel hotels I've been to around the world this one is very nice lol They have been trying to improve it though. They built newer rooms with nicer decorations and refrigerators, updated the restaurant Azul that's attached to it, and have comment cards for you to write comments and suggestions which I don't think anyone reads lol They make you give a $30 deposit if you get one of the newer rooms for the drinks that are in the refrigerator in case you drink any. Also a separate $10 deposit for the remote of the tv. The older rooms are shitty so sucks if you get stuck with one of those cause they have been being fully booked a lot recently. Another thing to note is that when you walk up without a reservation they almost always tell you they are sold out. It's always noisy too so don't think you're gonna get good night sleep here. Sound of high heels walking down the hallways at all hours of the night, drunk fuckers being loud and making noise while walking in the hallways as well. So it's hard to relax unless you're really far away but still then always someone making noises or moans from fucking. The walls are thin lol There are 2 entrances. One on the red light side where the street girls are and the one in the front main entrance for hk. You can exit hk on either side and go up with a girl so it's still convenient. If you wanna go up low key with a girl and not let the whole club see you then go out the back entrance. Less eyes and you won't be seen doing the walk of shame back into the club haha enjoy! P.S. I forgot to add that one day I was walking out and there was a mouse outside one of the rooms. ABSOLUTELY VILE!
