This is not what I expected from a Hilton Hotel. It looks OLD, as in not updated in a long time. The room was very basic, colors decor was old, dark and dated. Carpeting looked old and beat down. Bathroom was cramped and in need of repair (shower curtain rod was loose and dropping down, curtain was old) and the new towel rack was in the shower! you had to take all the towels off to keep them dry!. TV was difficult to use, closet sliding door didn't slide... Bed was not that comfortable. nothing bad, but not the quality you would expect. We stayed at a Hampton the night before that was twice as nice and cost less. read more

Where to start? Dirty rooms, dis-engaged staff, awful bathroom layout, or a pool out of order with no refunds or ability to cancel? We will never stay here again and instead look to options in White Plains--run, don't walk from Hotel MTK. I am typically a Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, etc type guest - I don't have luxury needs or expectations, but at this price tag and their marketing, I was really disappointed -- especially as we had come from staying at a Hampton Inn on LI the night before. When we arrived it was difficult to see where to go - we thought we had entered in the back half and walked forward, before the check in staff yelled at us and then we had to explain that we were guests looking for check in. Not a great start, but it only went downward from here. The room was dirty. There was visible dust collected in the edges of the room on old carpet, light switches obviously hadn't been wiped down, missing tiles in our bathroom, spatter (blood?), no door (where one had been) on the fridge cabinet (could have used a paint job and sanding), mascara stained towels, and a smell so musky I immediately was ready to leave, but sucked it up since we had checked in and it was late. The bathroom layout was terrible. To close the door you needed to either straddle the toilet or angle your body between the toilet and sink or the toilet and tub - depending on which way you were going. This was surprisingly not the shittiest (lol) part of the stay. The cherry on top is that the pool was closed from August 6-10! I had specifically selected this property for the outdoor pool in the summer, knowing it's a great family activity, but it was not working. I was told that the manager would contact me to discuss, but it's been days and I don't expect to hear back. Some rooms include breakfast as an option - if you don't book these (more $$) room types it's $18 a person and doesn't appear to be anything more than the standard free buffet you would get at a lower budget/star Hilton property. Also, the fact that they are advertised as a Hilton property, but are independent is misleading. If you don't trust this review, take a look at the others. I stayed here for two nights. It's a fine, basic hotel. The Pros: The staff was nice. There is a hotel in the lobby that serves completely fine (not amazing, not bad) food with a helpful bartender/waiter. The rooms were simple but clean. There is ample parking. While I didn't go in the pool, I did see kids having fun in it, and it looked nice The Cons: I wasn't expecting a luxury room, but the rooms are not well-appointed. Some of the electric outlets don't work, there is no body soap for the shower provided (all that is provided hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hand lotion), and the cups are not real cups but tiny plastic ones. This hotel looks adorable from the outside. Every receptionist was friendly and helpful. The lobby and restaurant are quite nice. The rooms are OK, but nothing special. The bathrooms are a disaster. I thought the toilet was broken because you have to hold the handle for a count of twenty and even then the flush is feeble. The shower is pitiable with a light jet spray. Disappointing! read more

Stayed here for only one night (2 double beds which was considered the cheaper option than a king bed) and it was over $200 I would say this hotel is overpriced for how the hotel looks and the condition of the rooms/bathrooms.. it was decent as far as cleanliness but it is very outdated and the carpets in the room and hallway were a bit dirty... they offer food downstairs but it wasn't my favorite meal..also the hallway had a bad odor to it... read more

We got to experience their conference room which we thought was pretty good size for any event. Even on a rainy day people went to this location. It all depends on how the event is promoted too. We figured next time we could try and stay here if we want to come back to the same event. Parking is easy, enough for everybody. I stayed at the hotel last weekend. I had bed bug bites all over my arm. I wasn't sure what kind of bites they were but took photos and sent to the doctor. I have tried calling the hotel to tell them what room I was in and to make sure they cleaned it for the next customer. I have not been able to reach anyone . We made the rez thru holiday inn.com on Monday but he said we didn't book through them so there was nothing he could do. He hung up on my wife after being curt and unprofessional. I called him back and he just was backpedaling but still managing to come across as a huge @$$h0le while doing so. As if there's ever a reason to hang up on someone when you're talking to a customer. Anyways, he was cutting me off tons trying to justify his attitude. He was saying to me "I couldn't access the reservation....the buyout has been in the works for years"...um ok...still does not justify your behavior. Also thanks for hanging up on us when we're trying to get a refund or credit for future visit bc we have a sick kid this morning. this call happened at 6:45am on a Saturday. Fun stuff. My was wife just approached me while I'm writing this saying "I'm blown away by that! How do people talk like that? He could have just said 'I'm sorry for the confusion. We're a Hilton now and on a different computer system but let's figure this out. And I'm sorry about your daughter. I hope she's ok.'" Don't worry, Ryan, I'll be sure to repost this again once a new Yelp listing goes up for this as a Hilton. The lobby in this hotel is very nice but the rooms are very disappointing. We stayed in room 229 which was a motel quality room at Holiday Inn prices which I feel are grossly overpriced for what you get. The carpet in the room was sticky/moist under foot so my kids and I wore flip flops the entire time. The shower head is damaged and sprays water all of the ceiling, floor and toilet. We had to use our towels to soak up the water because it was a lot. Then there are the devilish details like the moldy ceiling tiles directly above the damaged shower head, the bathroom door that needs to be painted and the office chair whose pleather is cracked and peeling. I would not voluntarily stay here again. I did so for a wedding but was disappointed with what I got. I expected more from Holiday Inn and felt that we got a motel quality experience which is really too bad. read more

I was here for a charity poker tournament event a couple of months ago. The Holiday Inn Mt. Kisco did a great job with banquet space and catering. The event space had plenty of room with awesome HVAC. It was clean and well kept.Plenty of on site parking. The food was good and tasty. Mostly sandwiches and cold salads. If I was running a function in the area; I would certainly entertain this facility for my event. The hotel has an all meal period restaurant by the front entrance. While I did not eat at the restaurant. I had a couple of adult beverages by the bar. What stands out with my experience was the bartender. He provided outstanding service. He ran 3 or 4 tables with busing, food running and everything else. He certainly was busy. I wish I remembered his name. He was working on a Saturday night and while the place was not packed. He did the work of several employees and did not miss a beat. WELL DONE.... I would certainly recommend The Holiday Inn Mt. Kisco for event space and catering needs. They seem to have the pulse of what the community needs for this type of service. While I do not know their fees for services. I can say that what they provided was certainly at quality standards. I would not hesitate to hold event here or have a meal at their in house restaurant. read more

Bathroom: very small, shower has good pressure, Bath & Body Works toiletteries. Location: nothing really within walking distance but everything is Mount Kisco is within 5-10 minutes by car. Restaurant: only ate there for breakfast. Buffet is decent: scrambled aggs, bacon, sausage, corned beef has, potatoes, biscuit, fresh fruits, yogurt, and waffles. Overall a good stay experience, I wouldn't mind staying here again. Note to dog owners: I asked the front desk and they accept Fido here. Spent 2 days here while my daughter was giving birth at a nearby hospital. I definitely would stay here again as a weekend getaway or a base to explore the area. Very close to town and highway but still quiet. Greeted warmly and efficiently at the front desk and was asked if I wanted first or second floor I like that and more hotels should offer that choice. Room had 2 double beds and was by no means could be considered large but was clean and looked to have been redone recently. Very comfortable beds and pillows that you sink right in to. Breakfast was included and you were given the choice of the entire menu including omelets served by a friendly waitress. Bar in the lobby but I didn't get a chance to have a drink. I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Mount Kisco for two nights this past weekend to attend a family Bar Mitzvah, and I am happy to give it five stars! The hotel is clean and well-maintained. My room, although decorated in typical Holiday Inn style, was quite pleasant and up-to-date. It had all the amenities I needed, including a Keurig coffee maker which made my tea piping hot with no residual coffee flavor! There was also a mini fridge which I found very useful. The bed was truly comfortable. The front desk staff was welcoming, friendly, and efficient, and check-in was a breeze. (I was impressed that I was asked if I preferred the first or second floor; that is probably something that only happens, I imagine, if you check in early!) I had arranged a smallish family dinner on Saturday evening in one of the conference/meeting rooms. The room was set up beautifully, and the staff could not have been better or more gracious. Although the menu was fairly simple, the food was delicious, which, frankly, I had not expected. For example, I had worried that the salmon might be dry and over-cooked, but it wasn't! It was flavorful and moist, even though it was served on the buffet table from one of those large hot trays. I had arranged for two gluten-free entrees, and I was told by the folks who ate them that they were delicious! The desserts were great: chocolate cake (fabulous!) and carrot cake (scrumptious!). The event was exactly what I had hoped it would be: informal, relaxed, delicious and the perfect venue for my large family to enjoy being together for the "after-party" following the Bar Mitzvah. I would be remiss not to mention by name three particular staff members. Ryan, the supervisor, was extraordinary! I had made reservations for some of my family, and some of them had made their own over-lapping reservations. A week before the event I was completely confused about how many rooms we had and for whom (to say nothing of the unexpected cancellations)! I talked with Ryan and tried to explain it all. With incredible efficiency, good humor, and kindness, he sorted everything out, which was a great relief to me, and it all worked out perfectly. I worked with Dawn, the catering sales manager, in arranging the small family dinner on Saturday evening, and it was a pleasure to do so. We had numerous phone conversations, and she was unfailingly responsive, friendly, and efficient. She helped me decide on all the details and she really understood the kind of event -- the ambience, as it were -- that I wanted. The event was perfect and turned out to be exactly what I had hoped it would be, thanks in large part to Dawn! Although I did not personally meet Kim, the chef, I had the pleasure of enjoying her food. To be perfectly honest, I had not expected to love the food, and I was very pleasantly surprised! The food was expertly prepared and delicious, and everyone enjoyed it very much. Clearly Kim is a gifted chef who is a real asset to the Holiday Inn! read more

My husband & I stayed here at the Holiday Inn in Mount Kisco for the last two weeks of May of this year. As we had personal business in near by Chappaqua. Our stay was very good & enjoyable. The room was very clean, the parking for our rental car was plentiful. The front Desk clerk that checked us in was polite, well mannered & friendly. The restaurant "The Hub" was also very good. Both our waitress Linda & the Hostess Jill were very polite & well mannered. Linda took our order every morning we had breakfast & the food was at our table very quickly & done the way that we had asked. The hostess Jill, was very polite & on top of everything & helping every customer that was in the restaurant. We had a bottomless mug of coffee in your mugs & orange juice in our glasses. I attended a banquet/dinner here so this is for the special occasion/event space not for the room. I know a lot of this has to do with the menu that was ordered and set in place but the food was absolutely horrendous. My husband barely ate a thing but I was starving so I had no choice!! The server who brought the salads out, stacked the plates on top of each other so when he brought me my plate the bottom of it had carrots and dressing stuck to the bottom of it. The carrot clump fell off and landed on my pants and took me by surprise. When I let out an Oh! he shrugged and walked away. THANKS FOR GETTING ME A NAPKIN! APPRECIATE IT. My dinner choices were "salmon or chicken" when I asked how the chicken was prepared the server (it was not the same person) said she didn't know but asked me again if I wanted salmon or chicken. I was forced to search for a motel/hotel last minute due to a long story. This just happened tonight . March 11, 2019 at 9PM. I walked in highly exasperated to the nearest property I could google and HI Mt. Kisco came up. I was very surprised at how clean and welcoming the lobby area was as I approached the front desk, expecting the staff to tell me the usual "no rooms", "last minute high prices" etc. I was wrong. A spiffy young man named Jamie stood behind the check-in with a huge smile that honestly lessened my horrible mood. As I began my spiel about my hideous evening, he instantly put me at ease and began typing at the screen in front of him. Not only did they have a room available, but I was asked if I was hungry, and if I wanted a drink! Alerting me to the soon to be closing food options, the amenities of the hotel and assurances that my terrible evening would be amended once I checked in...I became relaxed and at home. I have not stayed at many Holiday Inns but that has now changed. If ANY of the properties employ hospitality staff even half as welcoming and informative as Jamie...this chain has my business for life. To add to my wonderful check-in experience, I had an issue logging onto the WiFi with my iphone once in my quite lovely room. I phoned the front desk and Jamie offered to come to my room and fix the issue! AND HE DID! Mind you, I am not some young, beautiful lady- but a middle aged, craggy old coot. Jamie treated me as if I were royalty. THANK YOU kind sir for completely turning my evening around. 2.5 but closer to 3. So, a friend reserved rooms in a block here for his wedding. The block was full when I attempted to book and so were ALL the guestrooms, so I waited a few weeks and called back. My friend said another block had JUST opened, so I called the same day and was told no rooms again. However, there were general rooms available so I just reserved one immediately. Over the phone, I was quoted a lower price ($152 instead of $165) to pay the same day for the reservation. I booked that to get it over with since I didn't want to pay extra and didn't need breakfast. Fast forward to our arrival. Clerk says the price changed because I was "quoted the wrong price over the phone." I decided to deal with it at check out. At checkout, the clerk was not impressed with my "claim" that I had been quoted a lower price and she didn't care that I didn't want to pay extra. More money was charged to my card, even after I protested. More on that later. I was really disappointed that the bar in the hotel claimed to stay open until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, which was totally untrue. Our flight to NY was delayed a million times because of that stupid FAA fire in Aurora, IL, so we arrived at the hotel at 1:15 a.m. We figured we'd have time for a few beers or whatever and our friends were still hanging out on the bar's outdoor patio, but the bartenders just didn't feel like working anymore so they were closing early. Even though they had at least 7-10 customers willing to pay for more drinks right outside. What a rip off, especially after a long and horrendous day of travel for my husband and me. Yuck. The rooms were OK but ours smelled awfully of smoke. It was really horrible. This is a non-smoking hotel, but obviously the previous occupants of the room did not abide by that rule, so our room smelled disgusting. Nothing would cure it and the windows seemed to be glued shut, so we couldn't even air out the space. I called the desk to make sure they knew it wasn't us smoking, which they noted, but they didn't even have any rooms to move us to since the entire place was booked. Gross. Rooms could use an update, bed linens were OK, but the mattresses were pretty hard. Bathroom served its purpose and was big enough. Housekeeping service was prompt, especially when the in-room hair dryer broke and I needed a new one immediately since we were getting ready for a wedding. They came right away with a new one so I could continue getting ready. The lobby is nice, clearly redone recently, and intended to lure guests in to the hotel. The rest of the place isn't nearly as nice as the lobby or the restaurant/bar, so maybe they could have saved some money by doing some less lavish updates and putting those savings into further updating the rooms. Just a suggestion. At the end of all this, I filled out a Holiday Inn survey via their website about the hotel and gave it a pretty bad review and noted all of my concerns with the smoke and the price of the room. I was very happy to receive a personal email from the manager of this hotel apologizing for the room smell and the unfriendly service regarding the price. I was refunded the difference in the room price and given a "discount" refund for the inconvenience of the smoke. I really appreciated the manager reaching out and assisting me with my issue, it really made my overall impression of the hotel higher. Since this is the only hotel in this area, you basically have no choice but to stay here, but it's not the worst place in the world. I'd go back if I ever found myself in the area again. read more

This place looks pretty nice from the outside but it's anything but nice on the inside. I can't even think to put my rant in order so it's gonna be all over the place. I'll start with how when my father called to make the reservations and asked why the price was higher than the price through their website he was snapped at "that's the price, the one I told you." Oh you mean the one that was $40 higher per night? So we had to call the 800 number to get that taken care of. When you pull up it looks pretty, if you can shake off that it's wedged between 3 car dealerships. As you watch what's going on in the lobby it more gives the impression that it is the type of place a man would take his mistress or a woman he just met in the downstairs lounge. The feel of the rest of the hotel does not match the appearance of the front so get that part out of your head as you retreat to rooms all the way down since you have to walk from the front. Once inside your room understand that you have all the power it takes to operate a tv and a lightbulb. That's right, and if you plug anything else in you're gonna lose power to something else. Need to charge two iPhones you say? Ha! Oh an iPad too? Ok they're all going to take forever and try to find an outlet there's one in the bathroom where we keep the coffee maker right next to the toilet. Need to blow dry your hair? The lights are gonna get dim and your hair won't get dry. Want to take a shower? Ignore the black mold and grab one of those handy coffee stirrers in the bathroom and prop open the tub stop since it's always closed and the tub and shower run full blast creating tub flood levels in 5 minutes. Now while you're enjoying your toilet coffee (yes it's gross I agree) just practice your flexibility because should you need toilet paper it's near the coffee maker - behind your back on the wall. The only good thing I have to say is that the vending machines accept credit cards and they haven't gotten the memo apparently along with the decor that it's 2013 and drinks are over $2 now. This is a pretty standard and mediocre hotel. The walls are thin, the shower does not heat up, and the breakfast coupon doesn't allow for a side of bacon. That food isn't even particularly good. Generally speaking the bed was comfortable and the location is nice but in all this is a pretty mediocre hotel, at best. Despite other reviews I actually had no problems with the staff they were friendly and helpful for their part. In hotel wifi is painfully slow for work purposes.the absurdly long hallway is kind of ridiculous. To be totally fare to this hotel, first, let me say, I really dislike the Hudson Valley, I mean hate the area. It's absolutely horrible. With that out of the way, this hotel is smack dab right in the middle of nowhere. There are a few restaurants close, nothing much to speak of. Over in Yorktown Heights, about ten minutes away, nothing goes on there. The hotel has nice, comfortable rooms, a little high priced for where the area is, and being so close to the city, I see why they command the nightly fare they charge. West Point is close so they do have a lot of military families staying there. I'd recommend this hotel for anyone who needs to be in this Hell hole. read more

For $129/night (Friday and Saturday), the Holiday Inn at Mount Kisco can't be beat. Stayed for two nights for a wedding at the Holiday Inn in Mount Kisco. I hadn't stayed in a Holiday Inn for well over a decade and I was very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were modern and clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. In fact the bedding was updated and much better than seen in the pics on Yelp.com. The comforters were down and duvet and sheets were very comfortable and clean. I also enjoyed lunch at the hotel restaurant and it was delicious. Very limited menu (only four lunch options other than salads) but the cheeseburger and sweet potato fries were great. The hotel had no problem providing an early check in (11am) and a late check out (2pm). The bar (Teddy's) at the Holiday Inn was large with a big dance floor and made for a great after-wedding party. The only downside was a bit of a hassle with my room rate. I booked my room in January for a late May wedding at the group rate of $129/night. The week before I was to arrive I confirmed my room and my rate had increased to $159/night. It took a few phone calls and forwarding a confirmation email... but eventually they applied the lower rate. read more

We enjoyed our stay at the Mt Kisco Holiday Inn. The rooms on the 2nd floor facing the back of the property have a beautiful view of the trees. We requested a quiet room and were very pleased with how peaceful it was despite a large high school reunion taking place in the main part of the hotel. Would definitely stay here again. read more

My cousin works for the chain and as a nice gesture, got my husband I a one night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I got there first and checked us in and DAN the receptionist (supposedly manager) was so rude and condescending. He asked if my cousin was coming to check us in because apparently thats the rule. He told me that the employee discount is for the employees, not for friends and family. I explained to him that she would not be coming and that she's gotten us rooms in the past and has never had to check us in. He proceeded to tell me that he would be working till 11pm and that if my cousin didn't come by then, then he was going to charge us the full rate amount. I called my cousin so he could speak to her and he repeated the same thing to her that he said to me about charging full price. Call ended and proceeded to tell me the most assinine thing. He said that had the hotel not been completely booked, that he would be more lenient and give us the employee. I asked him that what did one thing have to do with the other and he just kept repeating the same thing. I said ok, I understand that you're just doing what you're told to do. He asked me if there was an issue and I said obviously there's an issue and the fact that you're asking me if there's an issue when clearly there is, is so unprofessional. He claimed that I was yelling at him. He obviously doesn't know what yelling is. I told him I wasn't yelling. He handed me my key, told me which direction to go. He didn't even give me any hotel info whatsoever, pool times, bar/restaurant hours etc...., I was appalled and I just said "you have yourself a great night" The hotel isn't even all that, considering that it's in a "high end" area. No microwave in the room, trial size shampoo, conditioner and body soap. The other Holiday Inn's that we've stayed at have full size bottles and they have microwaves. It's a good thing that I didn't let his condescending and rude behavior ruin my night. The one thing that I'm confused about is: How can they have such a rude person work as a manager. WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN NOR WILL I RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY THERE. DAN, YOU'RE MEAN!!! There is way too much bad in this world for you to be spreading all that negativity and nastiness. This review, as of Dec. 14, 2015, the hotel is being renovated. Aside from no real front entrance and one of the ballrooms is being used as the restaurant, there are a few things that are keeping this from being a higher rated hotel. The TV's are nice LG monitors BUT they only have regular cable wire plugged into them. It would be nice if they actually had HD cause the station menu list had HD listed on the channels. I bought some food and soda and put it in the fridge. Everything was frozen the next day even though it was just in the regular part of the fridge. It made for kinda a mess when I opened a soda bottle and it sprayed cause it was partially frozen. The design person who made the decision on the showers should have gone with something more traditional. They put in some floor tiles that are all level with the whole bathroom (only a very small lip between shower and floor). Quite a bit of water flows out into the shower area which is kinda annoying when you step out of the shower. Luckily the bathrooms are on the larger size. Bed was comfy. Pillows were nice. This place sucks. Its ok for a meeting but don't stay in the hotel. Rooms are dirty, musty smelly. There is no elevator so if you get a room on the 2nd floor you have to hump your stuff up a very narrow stairway. Also its very LONG. So if you get a room at the end of the hall it's really long walk. The soap they give you is like oil. Gross. Sleep in the car if you don't have another choice. read more

I'm giving this place 2 stars solely on the woman at the front desk. I checked in and she was complaining about a wedding party having fun st night AT THE BAR! You don't complain to a guest about other guests. The next day, she lost an envelope someone left at the front desk for us and seemed like she didn't care along with she gave us the WRONG information on the shuttle saying it won't come back and take us to the train... which if DID come back. She then denied to us she ever said it wouldn't come back, which was even more odd. Someone needs to teach her good customer service. Otherwise, the hotel was great! The other workers were lovely and the accommodations were clean and just what's needed in a hotel. read more

Reason for stars: It was a very average hotel. There was a small bar/club in the lobby that attracted odd people. The music was loud and the patrons were rowdy but we couldn't hear them from our room. We checked in late at night and were out first thing in the morning. Rooms: Clean, nothing special. A regular Holiday Inn cleanliness. Location: I can't even remember because we were passing through. Value: Same as any other Holiday Inn. read more

A small little mid-price range hotel. Not really convenient too much, but it's cheap. The rooms and bathrooms are a bit small and the corridors smell a bit funny. Not something I would pay for, but a bed is a bed when it's free! read more

Wonderful front desk staff, very friendly and accommodating. So much so they walked out to check which bus was mine for me, instead of just letting me know there were signs on each bus. Clean room, nice accommodations. Why one star? Bar staff are trained to assault guests for even trying to walk through the bar with anything not explicitly purchased at the bar. Trying to meet a friend with your remaining drink from dinner out? Prepare to be surrounded by three people and intimidated. Mind you no signs are posted for this, it's not a crime. Allowing this wouldn't really cost you money, either. There was no money your bar could make off me, except had you maybe offered my your own chilled glass for $1. Nope, instead your hotel promised the wedding party they could BYO, something you don't serve, and then assaulted each guest who attempted to enjoy their evening. I dunno why I bothered with such a long post, it's obvious Stephen Patton doesn't care since the hotel only has a 2 star rating. read more
