What I was charged was above the legal max for the room. When I asked for an adjustment, the manager laughed at me.

BEWARE OF PRICE GOUGING!!! I booked online directly with the hotel. While I thought the prices were high, ($294.00 for one room for one night) the hotel was convenient for my needs and they advertised "pillow top" mattresses which are important to me. I am willing to pay for a good nights sleep. I didn't get one. The room was very dated and had some significant wear and repair issues. The tub surround had several large cracks in it; the cracks were easily 6 inches long or more. The door had multiple very visible spackle patches on it. And the sink/counter top in the bathroom was falling off the wall. Literally. The pillow top mattress was a joke. The comforter on the bed provided more padding than the pillow top. I have never slept on a harder mattress in my life and slept very poorly. My back ACHED by morning. If you're going to charge nearly $300 (no that's not a typo) for a room, the room better be spot on. The best part? The maximum room rate (Rack Rate) posted right on the door is $250.00. When I inquired about possibly being overcharged, the woman at the desk laughed at me and said, "I can charge whatever I want. I could charge you $400." Honey, the reason hotels are required to post rack rates for each room is to prevent price gouging. What you did was illegal. I have reported this hotel to the BBB. And I am going to seek a refund for the excess charge from my credit card company.

This hotel is covered in mold and cockroaches, I am still dealing with health issues from my stay in October. Managers and staff are rude, and treat you like a criminal. Make you feel as though they think you are a kid. Do not spend your dollars here and support other great businesses in Danbury. Don't bother asking for housekeeping, they will come banging on your door at 8 in the morning ever day. Hallways smell atrocious and like someone opened up 15 cans of air freshener Air conditioning units are soggy and have no structure, are covered in mold. Drug deals frequently happen in the parking lot, homeless people sneak in. Never felt safe here. There was a illegal dental practice going for months and somehow no one knew about it. Probably was the managers friend. Breakfast is from the day before, soggy and cold. Our room had a broken air conditioner that was hanging off the wall and we had a baby. They said that's just how it was and we couldn't switch rooms. There was exposed wires that could have very well electrocuted myself, my husband, or my baby. The health department really should investigate this deplorable building and see what is really going on here behind closed management doors.

An okay place to stay. Friendly enough personnel, moderately comfortable. I can't say you can expect a five star experience, though.

The weather is supposed to change tomorrow but for now it's 85 degrees at 10pm and that's just not working for me. I arrived at 10:30 and I was on my way at 6:30. I have no complaints and the free breakfast they had was good for proteins and low carb. I was able to get back on my keto diet after blowing it completely in Manhattan over the weekend. I would definitely choose this hotel again and maybe next visit, I'll have more time here. [Review 18390 overall - 56 in Connecticut - 1912 of 2022.]

The sheets had clearly been slept in. I've read about some hotels not changing sheets after a one night stay but this is the first time I've actually experienced it. And at a Marriott! There were little sugar ants around the bathroom area. Not many, but they just kept appearing. When I complained the staff told me it was because they are located in the woods. Bull- - - - This hotel is old and tired. To top it off, they charged for parking. While the charge is minimal, the hotel is on the outskirts of the city, no reason to charge for parking.

They're uncomfortable and make my back hurt so bad I can't walk the next day. When price line said this place had a pool and a hot tub I got excited. It was one of the mystery deals where you don't know which chain you're booking until after you pay. Ok maybe this will be Hiltons chance to turn my opinion around. Yeah... So there's an accident on the expressway slowing us down we've been the car for HOURS it's been a pretty crappy week could really use a few minute soak in the hot tub so I call the front desk to ask nicely if they could please grace us a few minutes when we arrive as it will be 9 minutes to 10 when we arrive and we'll still have to check in and change. The front desk had the opportunity to make my week better and my stay more pleasant and chose not to. It closes at 10 no exceptions. It's Hilton policy... too bad their policy isn't to provide an exceptional guest experience. My policy is to leave 1 star reviews for subpar services no exceptions. Needless to say I'll pay more moving forward to stay anywhere BUT a Hilton! #overit Just so my review is fair this Hilton did provide additional bedding for me sleep on so I don't wake up with a sore back. Here's to hoping I can walk in the morning. Room is clean. Edit: so grateful I packed my air mat. My back is only minimal sore this morning. Sleep score on Fitbit a 65. Lots of tossing and turning. Hampton Inn is just not the place to be if you need a good nights rest! ***Unless you waive your privacy rights and sign up for their marketing crap WiFi is not free and can be charged to your room****

If they will treat a Titanium member this way, what will they do to the average traveler? Filthy room, TV didn't work, mattress was rock hard and pillow was way past its useful life. A broken mirror is a very real danger to those travelling with children, please be cautious. Also note that it's not visible thru the trees, but one side faces a highway and the noise is endless. Overall the rooms need to be remodeled, the exterior desperately needs a pressure washing and the breakfast looked inedible. Email to manager when asked for a review: I'm truly glad you asked. I spend 120+ nights per year in hotels and presently hold Titanium with Marriott and Diamond with Hilton. I routinely experience one or more problems with hotels about once a month, but this is one of the 2-3 times a year I feel the need to document the issue(s) in a formal complaint.  When I arrived at your property I arrived after dark, so I couldn't see the exterior of your property. Had I seen it, I would've immediately cancelled my stay due to my core belief- if you don't maintain the exterior, you don't maintain the interior. I'm attaching photos so that you can see things from my perspective. The dirt and rust on the exterior of your property leaves it looking more like a Motel 6 than a Marriott property. Even the sidewalk was littered with trash and dog feces.  Exhausted and traveling with my wife and son, we just wanted to sleep. The TV in the bedroom to the right of room 320 was not functional. Although the light was on, neither the remote nor the power button would turn it on. Your TV's are so old and poorly installed that it doesn't surprise me it didn't work. Frankly, I don't recall seeing TV's of that model in ANY Marriott in years and even then that small old model was usually found in the lower end chains of Marriott not Residence Inn.  We let him use the living room TV and went to bed. The overall cleanliness seemed ok, but the deodorizing spray smell was very heavy. It wasn't until we'd been in the room for a few hours that we realized it was used to mask the odor of marijuana smoke- a smell that become overpowering after we'd become nose-blind to the deodorizer. It wasn't until the next morning that the true condition of the room became apparent.  You'll notice the photos I took of areas like the track for the closet door, telephone and similar areas. This room was in dire need of a deep cleaning. Everywhere throughout the room there were deep ruts of dirt and grime that a simple brush and deep cleaning would erase. The overall condition of the room was poor, including furniture that was long past its lifespan and in poor condition. The mirror in the bedroom on the left was cracked- a serious safety concern for parents with small children.  The mattresses were rock hard and stained, the pillows were also extremely poor quality.  In closing, I only had one interaction with your staff when I asked for a business card for the manager. The woman who was present upon checkout at approximately noon looked at me and motioned to the card holder on the front desk, which I hadn't noticed. In my experience, properly trained staff will ask if there is something they can assist with before handing out a card. She didn't seem to notice or care, which is a great description for the condition of your hotel and likely indicative of its causation.  You wanted my opinion, you have received it. Your property will be added to a list of properties maintain by myself and coworkers, places to be avoided at all costs. I wish you the best, you have a monumental task ahead of you.
