I woke up this morning and said you know that I want a really good cup of coffee The kind of cup of coffee that's made by somebody with a bunch of these ingredients that I don't know what they are but it tastes amazing and this is what was recommended. I almost didn't go in cuz I wasn't sure if they actually served coffee but I'm glad I did the places quaint it's a boutique hotel with a small coffee bar. They only have four different types of coffee but they're all made with love I had to wait about 20 minutes cuz it was crowded but I didn't mind as I sat in my rocking chair and told myself I'm going to have an amazing day

Amazing, charming hotel! Love the design. 5 minutes walk to the beach, close to bars and restaurants. Love that place!

Luckily I know someone who found out about Hotel Palms Show Pigeon Coffee and I quickly became a fan. If you're brave enough to try the wildcard coffee of the day, you'll end up with a sensational treat topped with surprises like dandelion buttons. The barista is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about finding the perfect drink. This might just be the best coffee in Jacksonville!

I came here after a friend invited me to the Food Party Pop Up. It was a 5 course Vegan Culinary Experience that Food Party puts on once a month. Not well versed in the vegan / vegetarian food options but everything was amazing! The Chefs David Smith and Chason Spenser had full creative liberty for this menu. Simple vegetables dressed up like the sweet potato and sun-choke risotto. simple yet delicious for a five course meal! My favorite course was the Smoked Pineapple and Coconut dessert paired with home made moonshine pineapple cockFood Party has done a events this before in Jan it was a 4 course Brunch paired with craft coffee and tea infusions from Show Pigeon coffee. I love how they partner with other small businesses to get their name out! The venue was the perfect spot for this event! I did't know Hotel Palms was here tucked away in Atlantic Beach I must have driven by it tons of times. Next time I have family in town I will recommend them to stay here. Cute modern style affordable hotel with an open court yard and outdoor showers. Looking for something to pencil in on fi a week night check out the next Food Party Pop Up at Hotel Palms.

Best hotel experience by far! I just moved to Jacksonville and have been staying at a variety of places to get a feel for the different areas. Hotel Palms has been my best experience, not just in Florida.. but I can honestly say in all of my travels (and I travel for work!!). I actually extended my stay because I didn't want to leave! The room is trendy and clean. The whole vibe of the hotel is laid back, welcoming, and friendly. It's obvious that the owners and the staff really care about what they're doing, because it's palpable in the service. I highly recommend walking or riding a bike (they even provide bikes!) over to the beach to Southern Grounds and many of the other restaurants and shops nearby. This hotel is such a hidden gem, and I look forward to returning (even as a local)!!

This hotel has been completely renovated into a 50's themed hotel. I loved all the decor and the manager and owners are wonderful. It's just a short walk to the beach and to all the great places to eat. They do offer a continental breakfast, but due to food laws, only have fresh fruit and prepackaged breakfast items like muffins, bagels, and yogurt along with coffee and juice, which are still a nice option. There is also a great little private courtyard with seating, a fountain and a fire pit. This is a great place to explore the area from.

So comfortable it's hard to get out of bed:)

This is my 4th stay at hotel palms this year. By far the best option. Only one block from the beach... closet to all restaurants, stores, coffee, etc.

Stayed here on a whim with my wonderful husband of 26 years and it was amazing.

Salt Air Inn and Suites was one of a few hotels suggested by our local friends (Jacksonville Beach)…read moreto stay at for their wedding on Ponte Vedra Beach. This was the site of their post-wedding Sunday pool brunch. They had reserved the hotel's entire fenced-in pool area for the brunch, which is one big reason I think they chose this place. We had a great time. According to Salt Air's website (https://www.visitsaltair.com/about.html), this hotel was originally built in 1946 as the Salt Air Motel. It definitely has that older motel feel, which I can actually find to be appealing. Also according to the site, the hotel was rebuilt in 2022, which makes sense. The whole property felt updated and refreshed to me. It's not a big place, sandwiched in between a McDonald's and the Hotel Palms. Parking is somewhat limited. When we first arrived, I accidentally parked at the Hotel Palms thinking it was Salt Air. They both have similar old-school motel vibes, but modernized to be more chic (Hotel Palms especially so). Hotel Palms was built only a year after Salt Air, in 1947. However, unlike Salt Air, Hotel Palms does not have a pool. They do have a cool little coffee shop though, which we visited. It's called Show Pigeon Coffee. If you're staying at Salt Air, it's definitely worth walking next door to check it out. The Sunday pool brunch ended promptly at 1pm so the hotel could clean the rooms and common areas in preparation for the next batch of guests. I liked the low-key, retro atmosphere of Salt Air. From/to Jacksonville International Airport, I would plan for about a 45-minute drive each way due to traffic. Salt Air is only a few blocks away from the beach.

Apparently this property changed hands soon after we made online reservations. No advertised…read moreamenities were available: the breakfast we paid for did not exist, nor did coffee, tea, bottled water or coffeemakers in the room. The bath towels were barely bigger than a hand towel, and there was no housekeeping service available, not even for more towels. There were no washcloths, no Kleenex, one plastic cup. The first night, a busy Saturday night, I was kept awake by the sounds of trucks and motorcycles roaring by. The only positives were that the room was clean, and the location was a quick walk to the charming Atlantic Beach downtown. The bed and pillows were terrible - lumpy, uncomfortable and old. Making it worse was that the office was only open from 10-5, and we had prearranged tours booked that precluded us from being at the hotel during those hours. We paid for 3 nights at the wildly exorbitant rate of $300/night, but checked out after 2 sleepless nights. My written complaints to the manager (we checked out before 10:00) went unanswered.

The location is perfect as well, right on the beach with amazing views. Lily was our server and she was great. I came with friends and their kids and our kids were being a little rowdy but Lily and the rest of the staff were patient with them and even entertained them. Amazing service! The food was decent, not the best but good bar type food. I got the Caribbean salad with grilled shrimp because I got it with the chicken last time and didn't like that it was cold. The dressing was a little too sweet and amount too much on the salad so will get dressing on the side next time.

The hotel was clean and the people who work there were very nice. The only thing I found a little unusual was they did not have anyone to help carry your luggage. They had carts available but you had to load the cart and take the luggage to your room for yourself. I am aware that not all hotels offer this service but I have stayed at the Margaritaville in Hollywood where they do assist with this. Other than that, it was a great time staying there. The room was very pretty and the restaurants in the hotel were nice as well.

What I liked: There was a free pre-packaged breakfast for you to grab and go. Location- this hotel is basically on top of the beach for a nice beach stroll Free parking Free Wifi Location- it was in an area close to other amenities you might need. Room- I like the shower pressure The room itself was cleaned thoroughly and I didn't really see anything wrong with it. My chief complaint here is that weird yellow lighting some of these hotels still use and that makes the room feel dingy and dirty even when it's not. I truly hate that lighting and it really does kill the overall experience when I'm there, Other than that misstep in the room itself. I had a great stay. OH, cleaning did try to come in at like 8am which I didn't love, but I'm glad they have cleaning on their mind. Overall this place would have had five stars if they didn't have such bad lightening!

We had a pleasant stay even though the décor was a bit dated. It was fresh and tidy and had plenty of Amenities for short trip.
