Love this restaurant because I LOOOOVE Jimmy Buffet! I love all the decor around the restaurant with phrases from his music. The location is perfect as well, right on the beach with amazing views. Lily was our server and she was great. I came with friends and their kids and our kids were being a little rowdy but Lily and the rest of the staff were patient with them and even entertained them. Amazing service! The food was decent, not the best but good bar type food. I got the Caribbean salad with grilled shrimp because I got it with the chicken last time and didn't like that it was cold. The dressing was a little too sweet and amount too much on the salad so will get dressing on the side next time. read more

Margaritaville is an adorable hotel right on the water in Jacksonville Beach. It is very on theme with its own margarita glass chandelier and large flip-flop sculptures in the lobby. The hotel was clean and the people who work there were very nice. The only thing I found a little unusual was they did not have anyone to help carry your luggage. They had carts available but you had to load the cart and take the luggage to your room for yourself. I am aware that not all hotels offer this service but I have stayed at the Margaritaville in Hollywood where they do assist with this. Other than that, it was a great time staying there. So, this is a first for my husband and I as world travelers and paid $500 a night for this dump. We noticed immediately that there was NO AIR CONDITIONING in many parts of the hotel including the hallways, bar and restaurants. It was the 4th of July and we live in the area but wanted a place to see fireworks and chill. It was absolute chaos and everything about this hotel is CHEAP. When I talked to the front desk men about the issues they laughed it off saying they were waiting on parts to fix the AC. When I asked to speak to the manager this morning, and her name is BRITTANY, she had the nerve to say to me, "LET ME ASK YOU A QUESTION, ARE YOU RENTING A ROOM OR THE HALLWAY"? I have NEVER been spoken to that way by anyone in a hotel, much less a manager. I WOULD RECOMMEND NEVER STAYING HERE. RUDE STAFF, NO A/C, CHEAP BEDS, TERRIBLE SHOWERS. Had Margaritas in the special cups to celebrate- good flavor and pretty strong. Food: 3 had burgers with a bacon jam, super good flavor and large. 1 had the fish tacos, they were ok, but the fish was chunked and pretty dry. 1 had the spicy chicken wrap and enjoyed the flavor. I stayed at the Margaritaville hotel for a wedding for one night. The lobby is really nice and has seating areas overlooking the beach. There is a grab and go market and the land shark bar and grill. The rooms were nice, spacious, clean, and felt relatively new. There is a decent sized pool and outdoor area with fire pits, a fitness center, and laundry room. The hotel is right on the beach as well. They only offer valet parking. Front desk staff were pleasant. I would stay here again if visiting Jacksonville beach. read more

I finally made it to the beach after being here for 6 months. We decided to pop in here for a quick drink. I haven't had a margarita in a long time. I'm a wine girlie. It was nice and refreshing, the pineapple was perfect. I usually don't eat the fruit in drinks, I usually have them to keep them out. Service was good. Omg the worst experience ever. We arrived to Margaritaville on Thursday only to find out that they do not have a room for us that was already paid for as we had paid for Thursday- Sunday. So Margaritaville said they would put us up at the Sheraton a few blocks south of Margaritaville and it would be on them and that we would nor be changed for the Thursday night stay and would get a refund. OK we reloaded the car and drove down to the Sheraton. We where given a nice room. The kicker is Sheraton charges us over $400. For the night and we have not seen a refund of any kind for the Thursday night nor for the change for Sheraton even though Margaritaville manager said it would be refunded. We arrived back at Margaritaville Friday at 11am to get our room which we had been told that as soon as it we ready we would get priority cleaning services. We went to the pool and waited at 2pm I went back to the front desk and asked when would the room be ready they told me they didn't have us on priority and would put us o. It again. But gave my 1 sisters and myself a free drink as well as wrist bands so we could order lunch at the pool. At 4: 30 the room we had been told was ready. Check in is 4:00pm. After we got to the room house keeping walked i. To the room without us opening the door to clean the room. I live in Jaxs and recommend this hotel for my sister's. After finally using my wife telephoneto can, I finally enter Daville just before the rain came. I had the spicy margarita. I coughed everytime I took a drink. It has alot of pizazz. Wifey had the pineapple magarita. After the parking fiasco we finally ordered. She had the crispy shrimp in a basket. I had the steak taco. Margaritaville has a very limited drink and food menu. Many missed opportunities to get a 5 star. I felt they were better than 3 but not really quite a 4 but I rounded up. We asked for service a few times and it was as if they just forgot to communicate to the staff to change sheets or bring extra towels. We had to switch rooms right away as the hot water wasn't working in the first room so we ended up getting a room with a small little balcony. We noticed the in room Keurig machine doesn't appear to ever have been cleaned as it was corroding inside and we asked for them to switch to a clean one and/or clean it and they never even addressed it. The one time they forgot; I said it's too late now so just send them tomorrow but they sent them anyway and we has just laid down to rest as we had been up since 5 am and at the mayo clinic all day. The visit was just a medical trip not for fun so we needed the room serviced for us but that doesn't appear to be a priority. The staff seemed nice enough but I felt their dress code must be lackadaisical as the guests were not as professional dressed as you would expect in a nicer more upscale hotel making seem keeping the business and needs of customers a priority didn't seem to be their thing. read more

Quiet Beach Resort. This is a newly built resort right on the water with easy access to the beach with on resort restaurant called Landshark. We stayed in a city facing room which I now regret not getting the ocean facing as it would have been nice to sit out on the patio and look at the beach. Tip: free parking on the city streets Mon-Fri, otherwise your paying for mandatory valet up to $37 for an "oversized" vehicle, $32 truck/suv, $27 cars and EV charging spot $32. Room was clean, staff was friendly and food was excellent at the restaurant. Pool is a little small but with the beach right there you're probably not there anyways. There's a long boardwalk that goes along Jax Beach which goes to the pier; pure oddly charges a fee to get in. My one complaint are the rooms sink has really cute handles themselves as fins but are very awkward and hard to turn requiring a lot of ""hands on manipulation" read more

I have never stayed at a Margaritaville Hotel and Resort until this vacation. I highly recommend this place. I really can't say enough good things about it. The hotel interior is beautiful and very Jimmy Buffett inspired. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating. Everything was clean and the hotel smelled great, giving you that beach vibe. There is a Landshark bar and grill in the hotel with Landshark and other beers on tap. They also have a nice selection of drinks. The food was good and the service was fast. There's a coffee and breakfast shop inside as well and the coffee was very good. The breakfast sandwiches were very good and they even have made to order food. Now for the room. Blown away is all I can say. I absolutely loved the room. My ocean view was amazing. The shower is the room was probably one of the best showers I've ever had. I pressure was excellent and the Margaritaville soaps smell amazing. Everything about this hotel scream Jimmy Buffett and the Parrothead lifestyle. However, this time the air filters were disgustingly, filthy, and unhealthy. The sheet were stained and dirty, but Most importantly maintenance and the maid service left our door ajar on 3 occasions. On the 3rd occasion we called the police to get it on record. For security purposes, closing the door behind you should not be an issue. Hey there I am currently staying your hotel and I need some help.... I booked one night to get some rest and relaxation. I specifically needed a balcony. When I got here, it was a room with two queens instead of one king bed. Ok no problem. Then I look and see the black mold all over the air vent. No luggage help was available I finally managed to get a rack and push it myself about broke my back doing so. They gave me another room on the other side of the hotel not moldy...but it had the Juliet balcony which is the entire reason I came here I couldn't even sit there. It's nonsmoking but everyone was smoking my asthma is so set off that I can't sleep. Not to mention it's on the side with all the parties and bars everyone's been screaming all night long it's extremely loud. I can't sleep with all the noise so I just want to sit on the balcony and chill but I can't because it's so tiny. And then my neighbors start smoking weed. The elevators broke and they had to call rescue to come get people out. I would like to know if even a partial refund for the worst night is possible. I spent almost $500 to be pretty miserable I was wondering if any kind of partial refund is possible or If not then I would appreciate another night in a different room if you have one available. If not okay but it's worth asking because I come here to landshark all the Time and I had planned to stay here on a more regular staycation basis and I'm really let down tonight read more

This was the first time we've eaten there, and I will have to say it was very good. It did not disappoint! The service was great, the food was hot and fresh. I live with a shrimp burst in your mouth when you bite into it. The fries were excellent. If you haven't noticed by now, I am a fry girl when you remember reviews. Lol I don't have anything to say wrong about this place. The only recommendation I would say is they need to expand their dessert menu, because none of us found anything that we wanted to have for dessert I believe they only had three options which was Keylime pie. I believe ice cream and I can't recall what the third one was. So overall, I give them. 8/10. And that's only due to the lack of options for dessert. read more

Margaritaville Jacksonville Beach is going under. I paid over $400 per night to stay at Margaritaville. I could have gotten a better product at a Holiday inn & free breakfast. They are cutting corners that matter. When you pay $400+ a night for a hotel room, you pay attention to detail. Unfortunately, the Housekeeping department does not pay attention to detail and does not even do the bare minimum with pride. I'm reviewing from an unfortunate and expensive experience. The shampoo, body wash and hand soap were all the same product but in different dispensers labeled shampoo, body wash and hand soap. The conditioner dispenser was filled with body lotion. There was no body lotion in the room at all. Oh yes, it was in the conditioner dispenser. The shower had red mold and random hairs on the floor. Remote control batteries were dead. Not that big of a deal, but since I'm giving a review.... The gym was out of towels, no cups for water dispenser and the floor was slippery with some type of film and random hairs on it. The cable machine was broken. Most may not even use these amenities, however, when you pay $400+ a night, having these options correctly in place and functional helps you feel like you are getting most bang for your buck. Especially in today's economy. I feel like I paid for the name, "Margaritaville". Seen as how this is a chain Resort Hotel, I will never pick another Margaritaville to waste my money on. Who knows what kind of attention to detail they apply when cleaning the bedding, towels and restaurant kitchens. If they are cutting corners with the soaps, what else are they cutting corners with?????? Very unsatisfied customer! First & last time! I have had better experiences at Hyatts, Hilton's and Holiday Inn & Suites. Customers, check your soaps before using them. read more

Came up to Jax Beach for a night and stayed here. It was a great stay! The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The bed was super comfortable as well. If you like the beach vibe and Jimmy Buffet this hotel is for you! There were robes in the room to use. Although we didn't take advantage, the pool was heated and there was a fire pit out back. There were two bars to enjoy which included a restaurant. The bar tenders were so friendly. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! read more

Pretty good place, decent, not awesome. 1. Parking. You must do valet, you must pay $32 per day (SUV). Otherwise, scout for rare spots within two blocks of the hotel. Seriously, they also say that $32 does not include taxes or tips. So, you're already pissed off, now add on more. We scouted for street parking. 2. Elevators. You must use your room key, standard security, no problem. However, you have to stand there and hold your room key on the sensor, extremely still for like 5 seconds until it reads. Stupid and annoying. 3. Pool. Microscopic. Add rambunctious kids and it's no longer a relaxing venue, but a zoo in the simian exhibit with lots of caffeine. 4. Service. Desk staff is nice, bar staff ranges between enthusiastic and dead-eyed. Full range. One of the bartenders needs a really large shot of caffeine. Really enjoyed his Walking Dead extra imitation. Kind of funny really. Not offended. Weakest ass Bloody Mary I've ever experienced and in a tiny plastic cup. Jimmy Buffett would cry. I mean I get it, it's not BloodyMaryville, but come on, man! 5. Room. Really nice, except the doors - closet, bathroom, balcony, were all made to survive a nuclear detonation. Why would I complain about heavy doors? Because the tracks on the closet doors are so slick, you can perform your own self-amputation. Really a great feature if you're pre-med and trying to learn. But, truly the room was bright and clean. Something needed for your psychological health if locked in by the heavy doors. 6. Venue. It's on the beach. A nice beach. This makes up for the shortcomings of the hotel. The area is lively and full of great eating spots. I got fat. By the end of the week I had to keep my shirt on to avoid scaring small children. Eat at the restaurants around the hotel because we had two meals in it and they were truly hit-or-miss. The small businesses around it put in much more care and pride in their food and we're outstanding. Enjoyed our stay except for a few of the notables above. Given the choice, I'd search a different hotel or B&B. Not bad, but there's better value for the money. read more

Stopped here for a night before jumping on a cruise. Valet parking is $32/day and you can come and go as often as you want. Great location being right on the beach. This place is more of a party hotel. Think Spring break for adults. The hotel restaurant is the place to be. Two floors with outdoor seating and, of course, great margaritas. The bar is crowded day to night. Food was solid at best. My room was cool. The balcony is super tiny and my bathroom toilet was broken but I dealt with other. The hotel was actually very nice but the one thing every normal person will hate is how thin the walls are. I could hear normal level conversations from the rooms on both sides of me. I had to turn my tv up to drown them up which I'm guessing they didn't like. Would I come back here? Only if it was a 1 day visit. I just can't deal with the thin walls for more than a night. read more

I presently live in Margaritaville Daytona Beach. I like it there. However, this hotel pales in comparison to even a red roof inn First off, it cost me $27 to valet my car. Second, there are no microwaves in the room, I got back so late that everything was closed and I saved part of my lunch to eat when I got back and it needed to be microwaved, and there was no microwave . They have no vending machines. There is a Keurig in the room but I didn't really like the coffee. So I went downstairs, anticipating coffee and maybe a small breakfast buffet. I had to pay for my coffee and there was no freaking breakfast buffet. For what I paid for that room, it is literally a sin to not have the simple little amenities. I am extremely disappointed. My recommendation would be find another hotel. read more

Last week, John and I took vacation and ended up at the BEAUTIFUL Margaritaville in Jacksonville Beach! Located right on the Atlantic Ocean, the late Jimmy Buffett really brought, "changed in attitudes, changes in latitudes" to life! From the moment you walk in you are greeted with beachy colors and vibes and a margarita glass chandelier! Taking the elevator up to the lobby, it reminds me of the tropics! Breezy seating areas, Adirondack chairs facing the large windows that overlook the ocean, palm trees, and a large flip flop! It is all so tropical. Relaxing. Up in our room, we had a great partial view with small patio where we could open the balcony door and hear the waves! When entering, you're greeted with the green tiles in the immaculate bathroom and a large colorful Florida post card on the wall. In the main area, baskets hang from the ceiling, tropical images throughout, and a comfy king bed with a pillow that says "changes in latitudes." The staff was amazing and super helpful the entire trip. read more

Great location, we stayed here for a Christmas party and long parents getaway. The room was clean, they had valet parking but also could park on the street if needed. Check in was nice. They had a restaurant and bar overlooking the ocean. Overall very pretty. One thing was the room key, I could not figure out the elevator and the room key. Not sure how I feel about this place right now. At a wedding, although it is Dec in Florida, it's cold and windy. Many issues prior to the wedding. Literally three hours before Margaritavlle was going to cancel the wedding (offered to give the money back) but that's not the point. Said they could take their wedding elsewhere because they asked for common items like, CHAIRS outside for the guests. I get that it windy but no so that chairs cannot be in place for the guests. And now that everyone is sitting and waiting, do you think they brought out heaters. HELLO NO!! This may be nice for some, but it ain't for all. Since I am not accustomed to leaving 2 star reviews, especially for a hotel, I will try to organize my thoughts by summarizing all of the various problems experienced in an easy to comprehend list: 1.) When attempting to check-in around 3:40PM, my room was not ready and the agent could not even provide me with an estimated time of when it would be ready. Agent got confused and then attempted to check me in to a room that was already reserved. Realized his mistake, and then got me upset all over again. 2.) No luggage carts were available upon check in and the way the parking is at the hotel you basically have to valet your car. Keep in mind that I was in town for a wedding, so we had a ridiculous amount of luggage with us. Employees did not even offer to find us a luggage cart, they basically shrugged it off and said oh well. 3.) Housekeeping ran out of towels??? 4.) Showers only have half of a glass door. I wish this were a joke, but unfortunately it is not. My butt was freezing cold while showering, which is not an experience I would like to have again. 5.) After our wedding at about 12:00AM when attempting to crawl back to our room and pass out, BOTH of the elevators were broken. There were basically just 10-20 guests staring at each other wondering what was wrong. We had to walk all the way around to the elevators on the other side of the building, which was made more difficult because they are located towards the back of the bar which at that point was closed for the night. 6.) Toilet paper holder fell out of the wall??? (Reminder, this is basically a brand new hotel) 7.) Ocean view was great, but our balcony was so tiny that you could barely walk on to it with no ability to fit a chair to sit out and enjoy. Overall, I would not recommend staying at Margaritaville. I'm glad I experienced it, but it just seems that it is not very well run and maintained and therefore not worth the money that you pay for it. read more

I haven't stayed in a Margaritaville hotel before so I was nervous but man, I am glad I came the hotel was very nice! The hotel is directly on the beach and the lobby was decorated nicely. I wish I could remember the name of the woman who checked us in but she was so nice & kind! The views of the beach from the lobby alone were very nice, the room itself was much bigger than I thought it would be, it was clean and spacious. I wish they had vending machines however they do have a restaurant and the food was surprisingly good but the drinks...the DRINKS were delicious! It has direct beach and boardwalk access. My only complaint is the lack of parking but it seemed like most of the hotels down there have it, you either find free parking outside on the road or you valet for around $20 (pretty sure over) a night so be prepared for that. read more

I had to get away from the suburbs a few weeks ago for a night, so I booked the cheapest room I could find on Travelocity at Margaritaville; it was almost $100 less than the hotel charges. When I got to the hotel they had my reservation and my room was ready. They upgraded me to a patio balcony on the 4th floor for no extra charge; so that was pretty awesome. The front desk clerk was super nice and super busy with everyone calling on the phone, checking in, checking out, and others walking up with questions; but even so she gave me her full attention when I checked in. The room I had was very clean, quite, and felt like I was in a tropical paradise; not JAX Beach. Parking can be a little confusing at this Margaritaville. They have valet parking, but there is also free parking in the lots surrounding the building. It can be tricky getting into the hotel if you park on the other side of the building from the valet; you'll have to walk through the gift shop and / or restaurants. The desk for the hotel is located on the 2nd floor. I didn't visit the bars and restaurant while I was there; I knew that it would be expensive. Instead I walked across the street to Lynch's Irish Pub for a few cold Smithwicks, then next door to that for some delicious V Pizza. With so many other great options at the beach I didn't want to risk spending a lot of money on food and drinks at the hotel. read more

Beautiful room, only certain plugs work, no creamer for coffee, body wash in the shower was empty. Went to the upstairs bar and waited 5min for no bartender so left! Called in advanced to make sure they allow "Service Animals" and as stated on the website, and given the okay that they do allow serviced animals. On arrival we was seated to our seat (outside patio) ordered (2) drinks (2) meals and Jen whom was the manager on duty approached us with an attitude saying we have to leave due to not allowing serviced animals as I responded I called in advance and they informed us it was okay. As Jen or Jenny ( the manger) walked away. Also mind that I asked to show documentation on proof. So we got up said we wasn't going to pay for our order then. As I had to walk into the restaurant to catch her name on top of it with the boss on duty with also an attitude. If you want great service and support ANY animals I will NOT recommend this establishment what so ever. Jen or Jenny and the boss on duty with unprofessional, nasty, and sassy.
