I was beach front on the 5th floor for a few days and I honestly feel like I got the best room. Mr…read more Serge, working the front desk was very amicable and accommodating in every way possible. The room was clean and the room service was excellent. The room service workers were all very nice and polite. I went during a lifeguard completion and I witness one of the South Carolina guests being rude and disrespectful to the staff member assisting in the breakfast buffet. I completely understand why there's a small fee for the beach chairs and umbrellas on the actual beach. There would be way too many arguments and fights for the chairs and the longevity of people using them or others that would hog as many as possible. We've always had to pay at every hotel I've been to. And I'm so used to having free netflix at the hotels that I was surprised that there wasn't a free account. And some of the charging cable ports in the room didn't work. The shower is not sealed and water leaks out from under the door. I also did not receive the wifi so I used my mobile data instead but it would have been irksome if I had brought my laptop. Had a great view though. haha I did get the view of the pier, so you can imagine how many homeless fights I got to see.

Mahjong, Margaritas & Ocean Views…read more Who says you have to leave town to have a getaway? For a local Mahjong tournament, we checked into Margaritaville Beach Hotel Jacksonville Beach and fully committed to the no agenda, beach state of mind. The Ocean Suite was exactly what this staycation needed. A king bedroom, separate little living room, spacious galley-style bathroom, and--most importantly--a balcony with front-row seats to some seriously gorgeous ocean views. I spent plenty of time out there watching the sunrises, sunsets, and basically convincing myself I was much farther from home than I actually was. Beach day? Covered. Literally. Forgot your chair or umbrella? Margaritaville has you covered with beach gear, plus a small pool if you need a break from the sand. The only party foul was in the bathroom. The cute whale-tail fixtures were very on-brand, but ours had a little leak and were surprisingly difficult to turn off. And the water pressure? Let's just say it wasn't exactly bringing the big wave energy. For fueling the Mahjong marathon, LandShark Grill was an easy grab-and-go option, and the coffee bar was perfect for getting caffeinated before the tiles started flying. Overall, it was exactly the kind of staycation I love: Mahjong by day, ocean views whenever possible, cocktails when appropriate, and absolutely #NoAgendaTravel Would absolutely do it again.

Everything; valet, front desk, restaurant/bar (Landshark), maintenance/housekeeping was amazing! A very special recognition to Kenlee, Jordan, Tia, Mike and the AGM Brittany. To the GM Ron: I don't believe I've met you but your staff spoke very highly of you, you should be very proud. Thank you all so very much for your kindness and hospitality.

My uncle, who lives in Jacksonville, recommended this hotel for our visit, and it could not have…read morebeen any more perfect! I believe all rooms are suites and every room faces the ocean. We had a 5th floor suite with a king bed. The living area has a pull out couch, coffee table, desk area, TV, and an area with a fridge, microwave, safe, and coffeemaker, along with some storage. This was perfect for us because we were able to put our four year old in the pull out and our one year old in a crib provided by the hotel in the living space. That allowed my husband and I to have the bedroom--and the balcony--to ourselves. The only caveat was that the single entrance to the bathroom was in the living area. Luckily our kids slept through all our bathroom trips during the night. The balcony was wonderful. And the dedicated beach area for our hotel was fantastic. We were able to rent some beach chairs and enjoy our day. There's also a historic lifeguard station--still in use--right next to the hotel. Other perks of the hotel are the pool, hot tub, work out room, covered patio, and the bar/restaurant. They provide complimentary coffee in the lobby in the morning and the bar opens at 5 and the happy hour is 5-7. We enjoyed some happy hour drinks and wow! They are not shy on the pours here. My Sauvignon blanc was nearly filled to the rim--and they use a goblet of a glass! No complaints here! The hotel is also in walking distance to many restaurants. We had dinner next door at Bubba Gump and found other places super close by that we could walk. There's also a Publix super close by. Everything about our stay was easy breezy. So relaxing. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Jacksonville.

The hotel was also in a prime location with the ability to walk to restaurants and shops and of course the beach! I would highly recommend staying here and catching sunrise over the ocean.

There were plenty chairs and umbrellas for you to lounging at the pool now what I did not like it was when I arrive. The pool was nasty so they had someone come clean it but that took about an hour and a half before you could get in the pool. Besides that I enjoyed the accessible entrance to the beach the views were amazing and I also like that the lemon bar was adjacent from the pool so that caused for a great happy hour. I would definitely book again.

The cost…read morewas over $400/per night (booked thru Expedia - cheaper than direct) which is a lot for motel accommodations, but we were excited for the location. Staff was pleasant but housekeeping was lacking or non-existent. Saturday/Festival - We had no idea nor were we informed of this huge festival that would take over the courtyard. The pool was closed for that entire day & we were not informed of that until we checked in. The courtyard turned into a "frat party" with port a potties directly beneath our balcony. The live music and noise was impossible to ignore. We did not get any sleep and were not able to use the pool, go to the Lemon Bar (PACKED), or quietly lounge on our balcony to read or enjoy the view. Additionally, we had a biking trip planned for Saturday morning. When we tried to leave the parking lot, we were told that we could not carry our backpack or supplies OUT or IN. After sending 2 emails, I reached out & spoke to Trina (Manager). I req 1 night credit for the festival. She told me I had to contact Expedia. I did so, they reached out & received no response to approve the credit after SEVERAL attempts. Expedia did end up crediting me some One Key Cash for the inconvenience so no complaints with them. Bottom line, very disappointed in how this was handled and I would not stay here again - festival or no festival EVER! Lots of great places in Neptune Beach - suggest you go elsewhere!
