We had stellar service and the quiet, embassy lined neighborhood was very charming. While it was great to get far away from the tourist hustle-bustle, it was a little further than we would have liked from the tourist attractions. Poor planning on our part. And you will definitely need to know Italian if you plan to eat at the limited restaurants in the area.
Our room was nice and the huge windows are simply amazing with the garden view. The building is a little old and has some quirks - the only reason to subtract a star. However the friendly and helpful staff more than makes up for it. They were top notch and accommodated our poor language skills and spontaneous requests.
Last thing: our room surprised us when it came with an Android phone programmed to help you get around town. This was probably the most useful tool for our trip since our phones were off network. It gave us the convenience of having a phone on the local grid which saved us a few times when getting around the city. read more
