The place is adorable, don't get me wrong. You can tell they do try. It just wasn't for us. A group of 7 with 2 kids and an elderly family member. The towels were stained, wind howling through the doors, not clean. Not it a "they don't clean" it way - just old and can't be super nice anymore. If you're chill and don't really care you'll be fine. If you're used to newer nice hotels you won't be happy. One room needed the toilet and shower fixed. Beds not comfortable. Sheets stained. However the location is great. My mother in law was very nervous walking around due to the uneven brick walkways and lots of step up and step downs. Parking available for $60 a night Room doesn't have body wash, just bar soap and shampoo and contortionist. read more

Sooooooo it's been a long minute since I've written a review. I think we can all agree that life has been lifing. I am eager to get back into yelping because I miss it. So a group of my friends and I did a quick weekend trip to New Orleans for our birthdays. We brought a big group and was really excited the hotel could accommodate us. I loved that the hotel is located in the former Jazz Museum location because all the rooms had a jazz theme. I loved that. What I didn't love is how my room was a little outdated and had some discrepancies like a few holes on the wall. One of the holes was in the bathroom and it led to a maintenance room. Once I discovered that, I left the room and stayed with a friend. Her room was located in the newly renovated rooms across the street. It was very nice. If you stay there, I recommend asking for one of those rooms. The staff, was mostly friendly. The evening young lady was very nice but didn't have a lot of resources to help me once I discovered the afore mentioned hole. The next day I spoke with the managers of the property and it wasn't pleasant but on the end I was moved to a new room. I was supposed to get a partial refund for the night I didn't stay in the room but didn't see that reflected on my credit card statement. The second room they moved me to was not that much better. There was lube grease everywhere. But I always travel with Lysol wipes so I wiped everything down and just sucked it up for the last night there. I recommend bringing Lysol wipes anytime you travel. I loved the proximity this hotel was to the fun of the quarter. I loved the little store and cafe on the street corners adjacent. Overall, I would stay there again but ONLY if I had one of the remodeled rooms. read more

So I stayed here twice in the Spring of 2026. The first trip was for two nights. I had a king bed in a room that was off the lobby area. It was clean. Bathroom was small and older. The only way to turn the ceiling light off was to climb onto the bed and pull the string. I asked for maintenance to come and turn it off as I thought I must be crazy and there must be a light switch. He couldn't find a switch either so I climbed on top of bed to use the string hanging off the ceiling light. Dangerous for older people and anyone who can't climb. I was okay but wasn't happy there wasn't a light switch. You could hear everything. People walking upstairs, doors opening, etc. I wouldn't recommend this room. my second stay, I was in a room across the street in an updated room for three nights. King bed, and shower was a little nicer. I was on the first floor but people upstairs were either not as noisy OR room was better insulated from noise. Great courtyard outside of rooms with tables and chairs. For the price, this hotel was fine. it is located on the edge of the French Quarter and made walking around quite easy. It was nice not to have to get an Uber to go anywhere as we walked everywhere. Weather was nice. Didn't interact with staff much at all. There was a great bodega across the street for a few things that we forgot or ran out of. Also sold beer so we could take on our swamp tour. Not being super close to Bourbon street meant our hotel was quieter which I appreciated. Overall I would give this hotel 3.5 stars. read more

We had a lovely stay. Our online booking price was very reasonable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and our room was clean. The room wasn't large by any stretch but it worked well for us. Earplugs are always a must for me so I'm not sure how much sound travelled through the walls, but with the light earplugs, I was fine. The ambiance is so quaint and I absolutely love all the homages to Jazz history. The pools were clean and conveniently located in the courtyards. I appreciated the hours for the coffee service as well. Sometimes other hotels end coffee service earlier but I appreciated refills through noon. Beware: Unsafe Conditions & Terrible Service These rooms may feel nostalgic, but that's about the only positive thing I can say. The windows are dangerously faulty--a guest in our party was actually injured due to a broken latch. The patio is slanted and unstable, giving the impression it could collapse at any moment. On top of that, the room smelled strongly of mold, making it completely uninhabitable. When we brought these serious concerns to the staff's attention, we were met with apathy. We ended up having to cancel our reservation due to the unsafe conditions and lack of any meaningful assistance. The front desk (and I use that term loosely) showed zero empathy and got an attitude when we asked about a refund. His only response was, "Call Expedia." A few days later, we spoke to a manager who claimed they only charged us a quarter of the original cost and were "monitoring the situation with Expedia"--his words. He then condescendingly explained they had to let the charge go through because they didn't know whether we had really left. Mind you, his own staff had watched us leave with all our luggage. He could've simply checked the room himself. It's clear where the front desk gets their attitude--this manager was dismissive, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional. Bottom line: If you value your health, your money, or your peace of mind--do not take a chance on this place. read more

Get a bottle of red wine there and the dine in front of the pool and enjoy life a while. Stop complaining and have some fun instead. I have read other less favorable reviews and I hope those guests find a very sterile and expensive alternative much closer to noisy Bourbon Street. What can I say. Won't be back. Paid for a King room with balcony that turned out to be having to lift a heavy window and support that with a 3 foot stick to crawl out on the balcony! Front desk really rude when confronted with the fact that it did not appear as pictured. At 72 the crawl was out of the question. I stayed for 4 days. Hot, humid, all their ice machines broken for length of stay. Day one I received good housekeeping. Day two I had to get my own washcloths. Day 3, I was left with an empty Kleenex box, day 4 no one showed up at all. Front desk generally rude. Curtains broken in room. Air conditioning would not go below 72. (With drapes closed all day) drapes broke and torn. No thank you for staying or how was your stay at check out. I I visit NOLA every year and go to different hotels each time. I had some family stay here while visiting and there happened to be a cold snap. Their heating didn't work well enough to keep the room above 62F. When they asked for extra blankets, they said they didn't have any. They also would leave the door to the courtyard open so the cat would walk in and out as it pleased. They kept claiming that "this is what it's like when it's cold" but I live here so I know that is a lie. Also, when they checked out they tried to charge them a higher price. read more

We booked a 2nd stay here to hangout with friends before our cruise 2025 Absolutely the dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in. Night one we had no heat in the room with a large bug in the tub. I slept in my coat and gloves with temps of 62 in our room. They claimed the pour service was due to resent snow storm, but were not willing to accommodate us to another room or offer any discount. We stayed here two nights and really enjoyed this historic hotel. We were on motorcycles and they do charge for parking $25/day but unlike with the cars, they don't have anyone who can park your bike for you so you'll have to wait for the front desk staff to walk down and open the garage for you to park or to retrieve your bike. They did let us double stack the bikes into one spot so we didn't have to pay for two spots. I really enjoyed the pool. N'awlins is so dang hot, it's a heat unlike the southern heat we get in North Carolina...it's on another level entirely...just sucks the life out of you. I was really thankful for the 82º pool that was perfect to cool off mid day after being out walking around. The room we got was very tiny but comfortable, clean, and cozy. We had everything we needed, a fridge, cold AC, a king bed and two night stands as well as a dresser and closet. The light in our bathroom would randomly turn off while you were in the shower so we'd just leave the door open. The main door had a huge light and air gap you could see...we were here during moderate temps that might be a problem if it's over 100º. Also, there was a light outside our door that you couldn't turn off and without blackout curtains, it shined brightly into our room all night. We tried blocking some of it out with a towel. Breakfast is not included but coffee is so I was set. They do have a mini-market for snacks and there are some breakfast places within walking distance. We found this was a nice spot to walk around to Bourbon Street without being so close that you get all the noise, and not too far from the river delta. They have two hotel kitties Nola and Callie. Nola was born there 11 years ago on the property. They leave out food and water for her. Jerks with dogs would let their dogs eat her food by the pool and just laugh about the free meal for their dog. Also, they allow smoking at the pool so that was a bit annoying. I bought the kitties some wet cat food and treats to make up for the dogs eating their food. We didn't have any problems during our stay and loved all the history around the property. We got up early to check out and get on the road before rush hour, the girl at the front desk told us we had to wait 20 minutes to get our bikes out. This compounded the fact that we need a good 10-15 minutes to reload the bikes and strap everything down after unloading them, it was going to make us hit traffic which was what we were trying to avoid. Note: Our friends stayed in a room that the back wall faces the street and they could hear people walking by all night. Ask for a room inside the compound for a little less noise. All in all we enjoyed our stay and the location and we would stay here again. read more

That said...they killed the (literally) hundreds of flies...but then the smell was overwhelming...likely a dead animal in the wall which was the cause of the flies. The smell was SO bad - we hated having to come back to the room and prayed for a quick sleep. Just got worse. Flies got worse. I asked to change rooms...at which time I was cussed out. I stayed here with a couple of friends at the beginning of the summer. The staff was simply incredible! We did have an issue with the AC in our area of the hotel but Kim and Larry ( asst manager) were so accommodating, they found us fans and called the AC guy immediately... it was truly out of their control and the hotel was fully committed but they did everything to insure that it didn't ruin our stay! I have stayed here before and Saint Pierre is my hotel of choice in the French Quarter! Very close to everything but far enough away to get a good nights sleep. Kim checked in with us everyday (usually twice a day) to make sure we were good and kept us up to date with the AC resolution. Watch this hotel. After my checkout when I was back home and had to call for a receipt, they had charged my cc a varying amount per day "Credit card processing fee." I paid for my booking through the Citi Mastercard Travel Portal. They are to remit the payment over to the hotel. Then I was ONLY supposed to owe $43.68 upon check-in per my Citi receipt. The hotel tacked on an extra $26 in "Credit card processing fees." At worst it should have only been the 5% they charge per cc transaction on the single $43.68 due-at-check-in payment. Never was able to get a refund on this from the hotel; had to fight with Citi and got points to cover the amount I was shafted. Aside from that, the hotel is bigger than I expected, even having rooms across the street. The staff were all friendly and helpful, esp. Larry and Cassidy--so above and beyond at the front desk. That's great customer service. It was pretty quiet, but I requested a top floor room (only 2 floors). And I'd ask for something not near the pools if you want a quieter area. read more

It was 25 degrees when we arrived in New Orleans. We had reservations at this hotel. We handed over our card to pay for our stay and were shown to our teeny tiny room that had about as much insulation as a tool shed. Not to mention an empty fireplace gushing cold air from it. There was no heat in the room, it was 57 degrees. We go back down to front desk and ultimately we were told thats just how its going to be. We ask to move to another room and I see a list on the desk of about 20 other rooms ahead of us complaining of no heat. I told the guy at desk I was unhappy he just charged us and showed us to a room knowing there was no heat in the hotel and his response was "Yea"......(blank stare). He then said we MIGHT be able to get a refund? Ultimately we did but we had to rebook at a new hotel last minute -which was an ordeal- as this place was not acceptable. A heads up that this place had no heat would have been nice before we arrived that evening, or even before charging our card would have been the honest thing to do. read more

Beautiful property with two small pools andd plenty of outdoor sitting areas to enjoy!! Charming and affordable hotel based conveniently in the French Quarter. The hotel is located within walking distance of many museums, restaurants, and many other attractions in the French Quarter. We have visited New Orleans several times now, and I will say this is one of the more conveniently located hotels. The rooms are a little dated, but honestly in my opinion adds to the charm of the building. The room we stayed in had something happen we (my spouse and I) couldn't explain. But the cold water faucet in the shower somehow turned by itself. We heard a squeaking noise from the bathroom, and when I went to investigate saw the cold water faucet turn by itself briefly. This only occurred one night. We slept with a lamp on the following nights. read more

I was a guest at your hotel since Thursday August 1st. And checked out Monday August 5th. I am in room 212, the jacuzzi suite. And I am absolutely angered, dissatisfied and damn right appalled about my stay. For many reasons. 1- We informed the staff that 3 of 4 light bulbs are out in the bathroom. I also included that I am almost fully blind and need as much light as possible. They never once attempt to fix the issue. To the point that my boyfriend asked if he could have the light blubs and he would do it himself. Stil nothing. 2- The jacuzzi DOES NOT WORK !!! We informed the staff about this issue as well. Absolutely nothing was done. 3- Never once did house keeping clean our room! They did once drop off towels but that was it! Our trash was over flowing. No clean towels. No cleaning of any sort. 4- My boyfriend CUT his foot on the wooden floor on a very open and common part of the room. There is a piece of sharp wood that stabbed a hole into his foot. And I have pictures to prove it. 5- The overall lighting in the room is horrible. Half the ceiling lights flicker on and off randomly. Some are just completely not working. I get it is an older establishment, but most issue could be resolved with changing a light bulb. 6- The height of the bed. I am 5'2 and could not get onto the bed without assistance. There needs to be some kind of step offered or have the beds be a more realistic height. I am hardly one to ever complain or write negative reviews but I am absolutely LIVID that I paid all this money for the best room you had and it ended up being worse than the most basic room you offered. Stayed here over New Years Eve with the family. Booked directly on their website and got a great rate for a holiday. The hotel is on the edge of the French Quarter and within walking distance of everything in the quarter. If you have mobility issues, walking the streets around here will be difficult. Be forewarned. The hotel is in a set of old buildings. That said, the lobby looks amazing. Bright and new. Check in was quick and easy. We requested a room on the first floor as they don't have an elevator and my family packs a LOT. They were able to take care of us, and I like this place. The doorways in the Quarter in general are narrow, and the hotel is not different. We didn't mind as it's part of being in a historic building sometimes. Our room was just the right size for three adults. The beds were nice, the bathroom fine, and the furniture very nice. I will say that there are a few things that picky people might take wonder why I didn't mention. There was some peeling paint on the ceiling in the bathroom. I looked in a lot of the places we went, and that appears to be common, particularly in restrooms or places with high humidity. It's always moist here, and that can be tough on paint. Just saying. I really liked this place. If you've been to the French Quarter at Disneyland, you can see the influence from here. The hotel is living history. I would come back here in a heartbeat. As for the staff, they are the epitome of southern hospitality! Very friendly, helpful, and everything you would want staff to be. They are amazing, and should be treated as such. This boutique hotel in the French Quarter is a little slice of history. It has more of an Inn feel to it. Located a stones throw from Bourbon Street and the New Orleans nightlife. Front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating (shout out to Adel, he was personable and really made our stay enjoyable, and was also a great resource when it came to recommendations for local eateries). Room was clean and well stocked (this is an old historical building, so the rooms are not huge, but that did not bother us). They have a parking lot across the street (for a fee), which was convenient. The courtyard and pool were very inviting. All and all, we enjoyed our stay. read more

Location: First time in NOLA and this was our second hotel stay. Location was close to everything we wanted to see and do in the French Quarter but on a quieter block. We only took an Uber to and from the airport :-) *15-20 minutes (15 miles) to the airport Expect to pay at least $33-43. Walking distance: *6 minutes (.5 miles) to Bourbon street *Cajun eateries -I recommend Mambos and Oceana! *4 minutes (.2 miles) to New Orleans Historic voodoo museum *14 minutes (.7 miles) to New Orleans Jazz Museum *19 minutes (1 mile) to Audubon Aquarium *8 minutes (.4 miles) to French Market Booking/Check in: I booked on Priceline easily and my room was available for check in after 4pm. Larry checked us in and it was quick and smooth. You get a set of actual keys instead of a card since this is an older hotel. He walk us towards our section and told us where to go from there. Once you check out, there will be a $2.95 hotel charge. Room: I booked a one queen bed. No fridge or microwave. I didn't realized we had a balcony. There was drinks left outside and a Mountain Dew bottle half filled with cigarettes...yuck. The linen was clean but you can feel the springs in the bed. The toilet looked like it could have used some scrubbing inside. 2 rolls of toilet paper was provided along with 2 small bottles ( I didn't use them so I don't know if it was shampoo/conditioner?) and a bar of soap. 2 sets of towels, 2 smaller ones and 1 for the floor as a mat. There was also a coffee maker on the sink counter lol Suggestions: The hallways are pretty dirty. Might be time to replace the carpet or at least vacuum/steam them. Downfall: If you're going to be out late, you do have to call them so they can let you back in since you're not given a key to the main front door. It could be inconvenient and a hassle if you go in and out a lot. We were lucky to come back at times that Larry was close by the door already. Overall, I would recommend this place and come back again. Friendly staff that work hard. Larry was really nice and engaged with us. The location and price is fair. The buildings are beautiful and definitely captures the history of French Quarters in NOLA. ABSOLUTELY loved it. The staff was extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. The location is extremely close to Bourbon street and in walking distance of several other restaurants. We ended up at Clovers Grill...DELISH. Fan blades look like they've never been dusted & hair globs in the shower keep the water from properly draining. It's a shame since the place has potential. But w/o caring ownership/management it has fallen far short of what regular travelers expect. I'll not stay here ever again. To be clear, we tried multiple times to get these issues resolved. We asked twice to have our room cleaned & were denied. When asking to speak to manager we were told he's unavailable. When asking for any compensation (free parking perhaps) we were dismissed. All the reviews I had read made it seem like we had found a diamond in the rough, but it was too good to be true. I will say the front desk employee which mentioned she was fairly new to the property was very welcoming, helpful, and even recommended places for us. So we were given a room in the second floor, and right off the bat I knew this wasn't going to be good. There was a lamp in which seemed like someone threw a milkshake or something of thick consistency on it and it was all over the lamp and wall. Problem was that it looked like it had been there for quite some time which tells me they weren't cleaning these rooms. The wood on the door where the deadbolt locks was rotten away to the point that if someone leaned on that door just a bit too hard the door would bust open. The knobs in the shower were very fragile which could have caused a pipe to burst if you weren't gentle with it. Now to the worst part! Our roof had a leak in it which was dripping on top of a dresser puddling up there making the room smell moldy. It gets worse...I decided to give it a try for the night, but kept waking up. Want to know why? The sound of rats running through the roof, inside the walls, and through the floor boards all freaking night wouldn't let me sleep. You could hear them squeaking and chirping right behind the headboard of the bed inside the walls. We decided to try and get another room in a different building of the property but all they had was the first floor. Ok, let's give it a shot. Boom! Right off the bat the AC didn't work, the room was 82 degrees and it's summer in New Orleans so you can already imagine. And then again the rats running and chirping through the AC vents. Keep in mind that it's 3 in the morning and we had just gotten back from an LSU game in Baton Rouge in which we spent all day since 10 am. So now I'm scrambling calling hotels to see if anyone can take us in at that time. So we ended up packing our things and going to another hotel at 4:33 in the morning running on no sleep. The issue now is that Larry only wants to reimburse 1 of the 2 nights in which we didn't stay. This place needs to shutdown, it's a health hazard for anyone who stays there. Quaint, cultured, and vintage. The three words I would use to describe this location. This was my first time staying in this sort of hotel, I really e joked the private entrance as we were across the street from the main building. We had a beautiful chandelier and accented drapes and decor. read more

Pros: - Location - right off of Bourbon street and a small jaunt to Frenchman - Service Cons: - Not a lot of amenities - Didn't seem very safe: the first cottage didn't have a deadbolt so we asked to be moved. - Shower barely worked and not much area to place your belongings in the bathroom. - WiFi never worked. read more

Very nice property. Great location. The staff are, for the most part, incredible. They were always very very friendly and helpful. They booked us tickets on a tour when we wanted. One of them used the golf cart to take us places and pick us up a few times when we were dealing with the oppressive June heat. Great location. Two blocks from Bourbon St. towards Rampart makes all the difference. You're close to everything to do and see in the French Quarter, but the noise from Bourbon and the rest of the Quarter is non-existent. UNFORTUNATELY.... The only only very serious drawback is that th layout which features rooms with glass doors facing small courtyards. These little courtyards have tables that are just a couple feet from your room that other rude guests can use anytime of night. Three nights we had rude, inconsiderate people sitting having loud conversations just outside our door. Or having phone calls on speaker phone or listening to videos on their phones at 11:30 pm, 2:30, 4:30 am. The last night, the woman from the front desk told the offenders it was our room that complained and told us that they didn't really have to be quiet because they were "outside". Telling them that we called is a serious mistake because it lead to confrontations between guests. Not good. Don't stay here if you like your sleep. read more

I would like to start off by saying we have stayed here before and loved it so we booked again for 11 days till our permanent residence was ready. Everything was fine until our AC went out three days before we checked out. It went out on Friday evening June 7th 10pm. My husband and I work evenings and don't get off work till very late. When I got back to our room late Friday night I realized the AC was not coming on and the temperature in the room was still 75. Now mind you it is summer here in New Orleans so if you have ever been here it is HOT! Saturday morning at 9:30am I went down to the deck and reported that it wasn't working so they put in a work order to fix it. Saturday evening when I returned I asked the front deck if it had been fixed, he looked at the work order and said YES. I went to my room and seen that it was still 75 , 11:00pm I returned to the desk to inform them that it was still not working. The maintenance man was standing there and said he fixed it but would go and check something else.. OK fine. I waited about an hour at which point I was certain that was a flat out lie. Midnight came and there was a different front deck person so I told him that the maintenance man was supposed to do something about our AC not working and he said SORRY ITS MIDNIGHT ma'am there isn't anything we can do about it! Sunday June 9th on my way out I reported it again and got zero response not even well we can put you in another room etc. Maybe they didn't have another room to put us in due to a few events going on in the quarter, I get it but you mean to tell me you don't have a portable AC unit you could put in my room until you fixed it? That is what we used to have to do with residents in the apartment complexes. Monday morning I went to the deck to ask for a late checkout again cause we work very late. I told the gentleman behind the deck that he might not want to rent that room out until they fixed the AC and that it had been out for now going on 4 days. All I got was a confused look and a small sorry. WOW THANKS!!! They should have all of this in the computer. They had that we had a pet in the room but you mean to tell me there were no notes saying that we have an issue with the AC? We have both been general contractors that used to rehab apartments complexes in the Houston area and several around the Texas areas as well for around 15 years. My husband doesn't go into work now until 5pm. No one ever came to or in our room to actually look at the thermostat. We know it had nothing to do with the thermostat but problem solving starts with the basics. At this point I was very upset cause we paid a-lot of money to stay here. They should have all of this in the computer. They had that we had a pet in the room but you mean to tell me there were no notes saying that we have an issue with the AC? The hotel itself was pretty nice and people we encountered were great, up one of the managers. Overpriced parking and his lack of professionalism is what is leading to this review. Mainly because, after I challenged him on something that he clearly was unequipped for, he tried to weaponize my frustration toward my wife. He was fine, he handled it okay with me. But what was unprofessional is him then mentioning it 20 minutes later to her...as though he was still miffed about it. Cmon. Be a professional. Learn some customer service from your employees. They deserve a raise. Would have been 4 stars without that. I was willing to forget about the overpriced parking and another issue that caused us to switch rooms. Customer service and attitude change perspective quite a bit. So in all, I'd still stay there. read more
