From start to finish this was a 5/5 experience. Upon arrival we were greeted by the valet who gave me info about where our car is parked, and the security of the area (one way in and out, cameras, gate) I believe it cost $39/day to park. Check in was easy, Chris at the reception desk was more than helpful with recommendations for our stay. We loved having a bar in the hotel, that has a happy hour! The bartender was really great and so kind. We got a king room and everything was beautiful, from the bed to the bathroom to even the window. Our room did have a ceiling fan which you never see places, but a HUGE bonus for us. Note: there is no elevator, but it is only a 2 story establishment. Lastly, we loved the courtyard. My daughter and I spent a lot of time there. She loved the fountain. We were only there one night so we didn't know there was a pool until we were leaving (on the other side of the courtyard), but it was very clean looking! Would 10000% stay here again.

Stayed here 3 nights and next time will be at least a week. It's located pretty much at the end of the French Quarter which is perfect. You are located within walking distance to anything in the French Quarter but also to Frenchman Street. We were in the 400 building and it was perfect. Fantastic valet/bellman and housekeeping. Actually all the staff from the front desk to the bar were great. It's only a couple of blocks from Bourbon Street but very quiet. We can't wait to return. Highly recommended.

This is wonderful hidden gem within walking distance of all you want to do in the French Quarter. Over 200 years old and updated amenities make it a treasure. The staff was wonderful. Our battery died and they were so helpful to get us back on the road. It is a privately owned hotel which I love supporting. Check this place out.

Great location for an Affordable price. Clean hotel with lots of New Orleans charm. Staff was welcoming with local kid friendly dinner recommendations and coupon for BOGO drinks at the hotel bar. The pool was wonderfully refreshing. The only thing I didn't expect was the up charge for my truck for on oversized vehicle.

Absolutely charmed & perfectly comfy... from the minute Dana checked us in until Tony checked us out, we had not one single complaint. Next time, however, I'll ask for a room not overlooking the street. Late night revelers made it hard to sleep a couple of nights, but that's hardly the fault of the hotel.

Love the Rodrigue painting in the lobby.

We had a wonderful stay here before Thanksgiving. Great location and friendly staff with great service from the entire team. Convenient location, clean and quiet rooms. This will be our go to hotel when visiting NOLA.

If you're heading to New Orleans, Hotel Provincial is the best place to stay in the French Quarter! You really get a lot of bang for your buck and feel like you're in the heart of the party. Hotel Provincial had historic charm but offered modern comforts. The rooms were spacious and decorated very cute. While we were a few blocks from Bourbon St, it was surprisingly tranquil. We enjoyed how easy it was to get to the various restaurants and historic sites we wanted to visit. Many reviews claim the rooms are noisy but this was definitely not our experience at Hotel Provincial. There are a few buildings that comprise the hotel complex including a taller building that's on top of a happening brunch spot. Hotel Provincial is definitely the perfect hotel for anyone looking to get the most out of their NOLA trip.

What a cute boutique hotel in the heart of the action. The location was in walking distance to all of the main attractions ie. Bourbon Street, Cafe du Monde.. Jon at the front desk was very accommodating. We arrived several hours prior to checkin time we were able to leave our bags and enjoy breakfast. They even gave us a call to tell us we can checkin early. It was reasonably priced , clean , comfortable and historic.

We stayed in building 4. Room was okay. It was mainly clean except for one or two hairs we found in the bed. The soap and shampoo provided was okay. We had a king bed and it was comfy. The bathroom was a bit small but comfortable. The room because of no windows was very stuffy. We found out our hotel is supposedly haunted more specifically building 5 and part of the ghost tour. Hmm maybe they should announce this on their site so your aware. The courtyards by the pool is really beautiful but I did not get to fully enjoy it during our trip mainly because it rained alot. Hotel did offer a buy one get me free ticket for drinks so that was nice of them. The bell boys are really nice and helpful. The front desk people are mostly grouchy and not help ful. Seems like just want you to get your stay over with. We informed them that our room was stuffy and it we can get a Window but they said non of the rooms had windows. Also seems like during our whole stay nobody staying next door, very last night, we could clearly hear snoring all night long. Theres a locked door that connects rooms so I guess that's why.

Husband slept in until 4pm! Comfy bed and blackout curtains :)

We booked this hotel based on the Yelp & Google reviews and Reddit recommendations…read more The only PRO of staying here is the location. It is very conveniently located to Bourbon Street. The 2 things I care most about when staying in a hotel is a comfortable night's rest and a good bathroom/shower. The bed in our room was the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept on in my entire life. It was so mushy that when you laid your head down, you sunk so far into it that your legs were literally 45 degrees above your head. I ended up sleeping upside down in the bed with my head where your feet go in order to feel even remotely comfortable. The pillows were all extremely flat, when you put your head on one it sank so far your face was about 1/2 inch from the mattress. I had to use 3 pillows stacked on each other. I had a stiff back, neck and joints the entire time we were there. The 2nd issue was hot water. The first morning, we attempted to shower, it only got barely luke warm for me and when my husband showered immediately after he only got ice cold water. We stopped at the front desk that morning on our way out for the day and told the woman at the front desk. She said she hadn't received any other complaints so it must be specific to our room and she would send engineering there to look at it. (we were getting hot water in the sink). Later that evening when we returned to our room, we immediately tested the shower again and it was still ice cold. So we went back to the front desk to check if engineering had come. We spoke to the same woman from the morning who acted like it was the first time we were telling her this and she said the exact same thing. I asked if they were going to come ASAP because we needed to shower soon and we couldn't take ice cold showers. She ignored my question and answered the ringing phone. A manager happened to be at the desk and overheard our conversation. He asked what our room number was and said that because of the old building and the pipes the hot water takes longer to get there. He said this was a KNOWN Issue by the staff, management and the owner. He told us to run the shower for AT LEAST 15 to 20 minutes, simultaneously with the sink and it should get hot. He also offered to move us to a different room but when I asked if he could guarantee if we wouldn't have the same problem in that room he couldn't give me a straight answer. We had already unpacked everything and didn't want to go through that hassle without a guarantee. So we went back to the room and let it run for 20 minutes and it eventually got hot. So for the remaining 3 mornings, we had to set our alarms for 30 minutes earlier so we could get up and run our shower before hand. For nearly $300 a night, we felt that this was ridiculous. Old building or not, if its a problem, then either don't put people in those rooms, or get it fixed somehow. Why should anyone be subjected to an ice old shower or an inconvenience to their time because the owner hasn't done anything about it? We visited the hotel Bar, the Bourbon O'bar 3 times during our stay and each time we received TERRIBLE service. None of the bartenders were friendly to us, in fact they were pretty rude. Each time it took them at least 10 minutes to even take our order (by standing there and looking at us and not saying anything). The bar was not busy or crowded any of these times. They would then start making one of our drinks, put it down and make other people's drinks, leave and go into a back room, play on their cell phone, talk to each other, or carry the glass around while doing other things. My husband ordered an old fashioned and the alcohol was sitting in the jar with the ice for over 5 minutes while the bartender carried it around doing other things, causing it to get watered down. When making a cocktail, it should be completed from start to finish without doing other things in the middle. I ordered the Mardi Drop cocktail on 2 different days. The first time, it was actually very good. The 2nd time from a different bartender it was horrible .He also sprinkled probably a tablespoon of cinnamon on top of it (which the first didn't have) which made it nearly undrinkable. I had to stir it into the martini in order to not get a mouthful of cinnamon with each sip. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant Roux because of the bad Yelp reviews - we felt we could get a better breakfast elsewhere outside the hotel. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all unless you don't care about being comfortable or friendly service.

At check-in the rep asked "did you mean to book that room?" Yes we did!! We originally requested a 3rd floor private balcony but were given a 4th floor private balcony and oh hell yea was this perfect. Open the French doors and the cacophony of Bourbon St. envelopes the room; it's everywhere. But close the French doors and it's quiet; how I don't know but perfectly comfortably quiet for us. Added bonus, this being Easter, our 4th floor balcony gave us such a fantastic viewing spot to watch the colorful sights coming down Bourbon heading to the gay Easter parade a few blocks away. Our room also gave us a great vantage point for watching sunrise with the St.Louis Cathedral steeple in the foreground. On our final night we decided to order take-out to enjoy from our balcony; dinner and a show essentially, and cheaper too.
