This place is fabulous! i do not have any negative notes to add. The rooms are spacious, have a clean concept, and smell great. The staff was extremely accommodating and the man at the front was very pleasant to chat with. They give you dark chocolate when you check in. I wish i would've gotten a picture of the lobby because it had a unique design and had a dark vibe. For the price, this place went beyond our expectations. Also, there is a lot of parking around so it's free. If you cannot find parking, there is a parking garage that is $5 right beside the hotel.

We spent the weekend in Springfield and stayed at the Hotel Vandivort. It was a very comfortable stay and would highly recommend staying here. Its a nouve chic hotel. The rooms were large and comfortable. There was even a turntable and record albums in the room. I grew up with LP and 45 records and it was a walk down memory lane when I saw the turntable. There are 2 buildings where the rooms are...the main building and the 2nd building with 4 floors, plus the Vantage bar. We were in the 2nd building. On the first floor is a gym that is equipped to get a good workout in. We parked in the parking structure that was behind the main hotel and next to the 2nd building...soo convenient to get to our car. The parking was $5 a day. The location of the hotel is in downtown Springfield where there are tons of resturants and bars. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at this boutique hotel. The staff was very kind and quick to respond to needs. The rooms are spotless and well appointed. Valet service is timely and friendly. We had brunch with friends at the sister venue down the alley. The food was delicious and service professional. A wonderful weekend!

Beautiful Hotel in the heart of Springfield Missouri, rooms were clean and well kept. Love the shower/ bathrooms , very roomy with all modern finishes. Lots of construction going on in the area, so the views were not great but overall top of the line hotel, with a great restaurant on the rooftop and downstairs.

This has become our favorite hotel along our route from Texas to Indiana. It is always warm and welcoming with a dash of elegance. The rooms, no matter if it's a regular room or a suite, are always super clean and well stocked. The walk-in showers provide adequate water pressure to wash off a days worth of driving. We love the turntable and records in every room. I don't think we've ever turned the TV, we usually just play a record and enjoy the music. Sometimes the record selection is a little thin, but occasionally you hit a home run like a Miles Davis jazz record that really compliments the entire hotel vibe. In addition to the hotel being absolutely top notch h I have to comment on the location. Located in downtown Springfield, Hotel Vandivort puts you in walking distance of some of the best fare the city has to offer. I'm sure during the school year the downtown area is popping but we usually travel during school breaks and it's a nice leisurely pace everywhere you go. Overall, I'd give the Hotel Vandivort six or seven stars if I could. The price point is in line with any other 4-5 star hotel in the area so you might as well pamper yourself a little with an elegant night. We will continue staying here every time we travel through the area. As an added bonus, we were told during our last stay they are about to update bedding throughout the hotel so look for more improvements to come.

Gothic glamour vibes at this super hip hotel in downtown Springfield. I loved the hotel decor, including the linens and record player. The bed was comfy, and the in-room coffee was good. I also enjoyed their lounge robes, and the cheeky 'do not disturb' signs. My only complaint is the size of the bathroom sink and the black out shades that don't block the light. In addition, their rooftop bar was cool, but I've had much better drinks elsewhere. The gym has pretty good equipment, but could use some yoga mats and better towels. Overall, cool hotel with great service. An enjoyable and unique experience.

I was visiting Springfield, MO for a work conference. I've never been to this city before and after searching for hotels, thought I'd give this one a try. Little did I know I'd have such a wonderful experience. I felt so welcomed from the moment I checked in, with great service throughout including drinks on the rooftop bar and lovely dinner downstairs. I even went back for breakfast this next morning. The room was beautifully decorated, large and quiet. Also loved the tv/channel selection when unwinding before bed. Really hope to have the opportunity to revisit this hotel again one day. Very LGBT friendly!

"Balcony Suite" with no balcony. Charged $75 extra for non-existent balcony

Very disappointed as the reviews were very good. I paid $75 for an upgrade to a "balcony suite'. When I checked in the suite had no balcony, did not look like the room in the upgrade email. Lighting was poor and the rooms were too dark. It was Friday and the band in the bar/lobby played till 1 AM making noise and keeping me awake. The curtains were translucent, not opaque, and city lights came through them making the room impossible to 'black out' at night.

Gorgeous location with amazing staff. It's conveniently located in the heart of downtown Springfield, MO with plenty that you can walk to and enjoy the area. The lobby is warm and welcoming with great lounge spots and solid WiFi to support your work / play needs. The secondary building also has a great lounge area on the first floor. Staff was consistently friendly and helpful. They checked us in without issue and answered a few questions periodically as we stopped up front to find out info around the area. I was also greeted by staff that would walk by while I was sitting in the lounge area. They have two dining options with Vantage Rooftop Bar and The Order. They were both excellent and a must try. Overall: A+ Great hotel to stay at while in the area. Plenty to offer and conveniently located in downtown.

We LOVED staying at Hotel Vandivort! We were there the weekend before Christmas of 2021. We had a wedding to attend that Saturday night close to Springfield and many in the wedding party were staying at the Hotel Vandivort. We stayed in the original building. Our cousins stayed in the newer building. Both rooms were great! Our cousins even had an old record player that worked in their room. We liked being in the original building with the hotel lobby restaurant downstairs. Friday night we had rented (we scheduled this a month in advance) an igloo on the rooftop bar of Vantage (their building next door) and that was so much fun. The drinks and appetizers were great. Then had dinner in the hotel lobby restaurant, The Order. Wonderful food too! It was nice to not have to drive anywhere as it was cold and rainy Friday night. Love the location of Hotel Vandivort, it was fun to walk around downtown. Saturday morning we had breakfast across the street and then I walked around and shopped at the local stores downtown. My husband and cousins hung out in the hotel lobby bar and the bartender Jess made them great drinks and gave them samples of the upcoming winter drink menu. A great time was had by all. Then for lunch we walked over to Casper's for burgers, (see my review on that one). The people that worked at Hotel Vandivort were helpful and friendly. Super welcoming atmosphere. Loved how it was decorated for Christmas. We so enjoyed hanging out there all weekend and would definitely stay there again! Oh the bride's parents stayed next door to us, they had a huge room (forgot what it was called) on the 4th floor and it was perfect for entertaining a crowd!

Flew to Missouri from California, and this hotel is directly across the street from the hospital. Could not have asked for a better experience. The hotel is directly across the street from the hospital, so it was a very easy walk to get to and from seeing our family member. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and very accommodating. We were able to add days and end our stay without any sort of advanced notice, of course, because we did not really know what would be happening. When we did leave, we were given a late-late checkout on request, I really could not say enough wonderful things about how nice it was to not have to worry about our hotel stay. I would give them infinite gold stars if possible. Thank you.

It's also a pretty safe neighborhood, which is nice since parking is in an open lot, not a garage. It's a basic TownePlace Suites. It has good-sized rooms with comfortable beds and a fold-out sofa, basic cooking facilities, a work station and the usual amenities including iron and board. There is also a complementary breakfast, and a few others, including a workout room. Service was generally pretty good. I couldn't find my hair dryer on my first day (heading into a meeting), and the front desk attendant had one to my room within minutes. However, there were several other issues with this property. First, the shower in my guest room was barely warm. Even after receiving assurance from the front desk that maintenance would look after it, it was no better. There is a lobby bar where the attentive bartender pours drinks and offers appetizers from Tuesdays through Saturdays, but the quesadilla on offer was HORRIBLE! Whatever was supposed to be the tortilla (and it was NOT a traditional flour tortilla) had the consistency - and flavor - of cardboard. When I asked the bartender what kind it was, she admitted she didn't know, but suspected it was some kind of "healthy option." One does not order a quesadilla to be healthy. Third, the hotel has a shared computer (not exactly a business center) but requires a log-on for Word or Excel, which makes it pretty useless for anything except surfing the web. Even the credentials provided by the front desk didn't work. On two of the three nights I stayed there, the hotel hosted a fair number of kids' sports teams. That meant the noise level went up, kids running in the halls, and a breakfast room that was pretty well overrun both mornings. Fortunately, there are other restaurants close by, providing options to avoid the crazy. It's not the best TownePlace Suites at which I've stayed (and I've stayed at plenty) but if the location is convenient and the price suits your budget, I wouldn't steer you away.

Andrea is always helpful and love the cooked to order items here. The rooms, however, are getting so rundown through the years. Lastly, Springfield is getting booked up so these rooms can be up to 180/200+ per night which is highway robbery since they are so bad. Bonus, it was quiet, despite being along the road. We noted the addition of some new themed rooms, including a lovely western room. I like to see the progress and hope to see refreshes on some of the classics. Breakfast was available & worth skipping. It seriously was not good. The grounds were very pleasant to stroll through. The Route 66 touches were well-integrated, keeping it true to the theme without going overboard. The hot tub has been removed and covered with a deck. It's, again, true to the original era. While checking out the grounds, we overheard staff discussing the importance of, and plan for, improving curb appeal. We truly enjoyed our stay & needed something not so serious, something playful. Hospitality is about more than just having a room available, it's about how guests are treated when things don't go according to plan. A simple explanation, an estimated wait time, or even a friendly acknowledgment of the inconvenience would have made a significant difference.
