UPDATED REVIEW - PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING! I went to this salon hoping for a proper balayage treatment and instead left with a botched, one-tone color job that looked NOTHING like the inspiration picture I showed. I spent 6 HOURS in the chair only to go home and realize my hair had not been balayaged at all. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and returned the next day to express my concerns -- and that's when things got worse. One of the workers immediately got defensive, arguing with me and claiming that the inspo photo I provided "wasn't balayage." If you know what real balayage is, you know it's a multi-dimensional, blended color, not one flat shade. The stylist who originally did my hair wasn't there, and I was told I couldn't get a refund, but that the stylist would call me. I left my number and waited all day. No call. I went back again on Wednesday and was shocked by what happened next. The stylist who did my hair asked me to step outside -- not to resolve things, but because he didn't want the other customers hearing our conversation. He told me my hair was "fine" and denied doing anything wrong. When I confronted him directly and asked if he had ever done balayage before, he admitted he hadn't. Let that sink in: he experimented on my hair without telling me he lacked experience. Even after admitting this, he refused to fix my hair unless I paid another $50. When I rightfully refused and demanded it be corrected for free, he told me I didn't have to give him my business and could "call the police" for all he cared. That's how little they value their customers. What truly speaks volumes is what happened next. I went back inside and asked the three women who were currently getting their hair done if they knew what balayage was -- they all said yes. When I showed them my hair and asked if it looked like I had gotten balayage, all three said "NO." Even complete strangers could see how badly this salon messed up. They were shocked. This salon refused to refund me, refused to correct their mistake, and instead tried to charge me more for their failure. Ladies, do yourself a favor and GO ELSEWHERE. A real stylist will be honest about their skills, take accountability when they mess up, and respect your time and money. This salon does none of that. They care only about charging you -- not about delivering the service they promised. To top it all off, I uploaded a photo of the stylist who worked on my hair. If you see this man -- do NOT let him near your hair. You deserve better. read more

This was my first time going to Hotspot and I will definitely be a repeat customer. I didn't need to make an appointment and was taken in right away. They gave me a shampoo and the guy who did it was excellent. It was very soothing and he massaged my scalp while doing it. Then, I asked them to trim the dead ends off. I have curly, long hair and they did a good job managing it. After trimming off the dead ends, they blew out my hair and asked if I wanted it straight or with waves. I picked straight. My hair looks so much more healthy and the total for a wash, trim, and blowout was $32. Very reasonable. read more

Wash and Blow Review. If I could give 10 stars I would. Basically made an appointment 5 minutes before walking in. Immediately got seated for a wash. When I tell you my head/hair has never been washed like this before, omg. Anna did my wash and in between scrubbing my head, she would do these little shoulder massages. 10/10 amazing. Then I got a regular blow out. Also amazing. I didn't need my hair styled but they would have done any stole. Flat iron, curls, you name it. The price point is amazing as well. Also I had lost a diamond earring throughout the wash and blow. I had left them my phone number thinking the earring was gone forever. NOPE. I didn't even make it home before getting a call saying they went through the salon and actually found my earring. Could not rave more about this place! Will definitely be going back. read more

Went to get a last minute blow out before an event I had to go to. Hair wash was fine but as soon as they went to blow dry my hair I saw them take a USED, UNCLEAN brush out of a drawer FULL OF USED, UNCLEAN brushes. I'm talking hair still wrapped around the comb like it's a brush that you use at home for yourself. How absolutely disgusting and unsanitary! Walked out. read more

So I went there got the first time two Sundays ago. it was a last minute decision. They were extremely busy and didn't have enough people to wash hair in the back so I had to wait 20 minutes then another 20 minutes to get my hair blown out straight. The massage was a little too rough but she definitely got my scalp cleaned. As far as the blowout goes, this guy used two blow dryers! I have never seen that before..he got it done in about 20 minutes including the flatiron. I was then having a conversation with a friend of mine who is a hairdresser. She was looking through my hair to give me another blowout because I had a party to attend and she asked me what am I doing different to my hair? I'm like" nothing" she says my hair was split and burnt in certain places! This is what u get for trying to save money but clearly it's not worth it. I will not be going back to this place I'll stick to my hairdresser going forward. read more

ADVICE!!! DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT IN THIS PLACE. I called them 15 mins prior to entering the salon for rates for cut and a blow dry and after they cut and blow dried my hair they billed me $32. Basically they lie prior to getting you in. The guy is horrible and liars. He told me his name was Joe when I asked him prior to my hair cut which again I am not sure if he is telling the truth. So in a nut shell be prepared before you sit on that chair to have your hair cut and be cheated by those thieves. read more

Received a basic wash and blowout for $20!! Did a great job. The staff is very friendly.

Got my Roots dyed, was terrific. Gal washing/massaging hair was great. Guy who did blow out was wonderful, but DO NOT get your hair cut there! What a mistake, he completely butchered my hair!! he chopped at it, thinned it out beyond belief, and left it uneven and ratty looking, a complete mess! He literally started fraying at it and chunks of hair were falling out. Then, he just left me there to air dry while tending to a new customer that walked in, I literally sat there watching it air dry while he started on a different customer. They were understaffed (3 employees for 10 customers) and went around from head to head while people sat and waited between their wash, cut, blow out. I sat over 40 min after my roots were dyed in towel with a wet head, then he butchered my hair and left me in the chair for another 30 min to air dry. Another person finally blew my hair out and it is so frayed I am beyond upset!!! They did a good job on my daughters color tips, but I would NOT recommend to get a haircut unless you want Edward scizzorhands chopping it up. If you go, it's for a blow out or color only. He kept saying sorry sorry to me and offered a free blowout for next time, but now I have to walk around with massacred haircut! read more

I was not happy with my experience at the salon at all. The sign in the window said wash and blow out $18. I was a walk-in and they told me they had time to take care of me right then. The shampoo girl spent 15 minutes washing my hair stalling for time so that someone would be able to see me for a blowout. I asked her several times to be gentle as I have a sensitive scalp but several times she hurt me and I had to tell her again and again. On top of all of that I did not like the blowout which was also very painful and when I went to pay, they told me that the blowout was $22. When I questioned why I was told $18. is only for a straight hair blowout but since I wanted bouncy blowout it was more. I think they should've told me that before the blowout and I think the sign in the window should be more specific. I will not go back!! read more
